¹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹A stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

²Son of man, there were two women, daughters of one mother.

²Synu človeka, boly dve ženy, dcéry jednej matere.

³And they committed whoredom in Egypt; they committed whoredom in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there were handled the teats of their virginity.

³Smilnily v Egypte, smilnily vo svojej mladosti; tam boly mačkané ich prsia a tam opiplali hruď ich panenstva.

⁴And their names were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister; and they were mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names: Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.

⁴Ich mená boly: väčšia, staršia bola Ahola, a jej sestra Aholiba, a boly moje a porodily synov a dcéry. Ale ich mená sú: Samária je Ahola a Jeruzalem Aholiba.

⁵And Oholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she lusted after her lovers, after the Assyrians [her] neighbours,

⁵A Ahola súc mojou smilnila a zahorela chlipnou ľúbosťou oproti svojim milencom, oproti Assúrovi, blízkym,

⁶clothed with blue, governors and rulers, all of them attractive young men, horsemen riding upon horses.

⁶odiatym hyacintovomodrým postavom, oproti vojvodom a kniežatám, všetko to vybraní mládenci žiadúcni, jazdci, jazdiaci na koňoch.

⁷And she bestowed her whoredoms upon them, all of them the choice of the children of Asshur; and with all after whom she lusted, with all their idols she defiled herself.

⁷A dala sa smilniť s nimi, s vybranými synmi Assúrovými, jakí boli všetci dovedna, a so všetkými, proti ktorým zahorela chlipnou ľúbosťou, so všetkými ich ukydanými bohmi sa poškvrňovala.

⁸Neither left she her whoredoms [brought] from Egypt; for in her youth they had lain with her, and had handled the breasts of her virginity, and poured their fornication upon her.

⁸Ale nezanechala ani svojich smilstiev z Egypta, lebo s ňou líhali v jej mladosti, a oni opiplali hruď jej panenstva a vylievali svoje smilstvo na ňu.

⁹Therefore I gave her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the children of Asshur, after whom she lusted.

⁹Preto som ju vydal do ruky jej milencov, do ruky synov Assúrových, proti ktorým zahorela chlipnou ľúbosťou.

¹⁰These discovered her nakedness, they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword; and she became a name among women; and they executed judgment upon her.

¹⁰Tí odkryli jej nahotu, pobrali jej synov i jej dcéry a ju zabili mečom, a tak stala sa povestnou iným ženám, a vykonali na nej súdy.

¹¹And her sister Oholibah saw [this], and was more corrupt in her passion than she, and in her fornications more than the whoredoms of her sister.

¹¹A jej sestra Aholiba to videla, ale sa porušila vo svojej chlipnej ľúbosti ešte viac ako ona, a jej smilstvá boly väčšie ako smilstvá jej sestry.

¹²She lusted after the children of Asshur [her] neighbours, governors and rulers, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them attractive young men.

¹²Zahorela chlipnou ľúbosťou oproti synom Assúrovým, oproti vojvodom a kniežatám, blízkym, odiatym nádherne, oproti jazdcom, jazdiacich na koňoch, oproti vybraným mládencom žiadúcnym, akí boli všetci dovedna.

¹³And I saw that she was defiled: both took one way.

¹³A videl som, že sa poškvrnila; obe išly jednou a tou istou cestou.

¹⁴And she increased her fornications; for she saw men portrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,

¹⁴Ale táto ešte pridala ku svojim smilstvám, lebo keď videla mužov, vyrytých na stene, obrazy to Chaldejov, vyobrazených červeňou,

¹⁵girded with girdles upon their loins, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them captains in appearance, [after] the likeness of the children of Babylon, of Chaldea, the land of their nativity.

¹⁵prepásaných pásom na ich bedrách, s previslými čapicami farebnými na ich hlavách, na pohľad samí rytieri, čo do podoby synovia Babylona v Chaldejsku, v ich rodnej zemi,

¹⁶And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she lusted after them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.

¹⁶zahorela chlipnou ľúbosťou oproti nim pri pohľade svojich očí a poslala k nim poslov do Chaldejska.

¹⁷And the children of Babylon came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their fornication; she too defiled herself with them, and her soul was alienated from them.

¹⁷A tak prišli k nej synovia Babylona na ložu hriešnej ľúbosti a poškvrnili ju svojím smilstvom. A keď sa už poškvrnila nimi, odlúčila sa jej duša od nich.

¹⁸And she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness; and my soul was alienated from her, like as my soul was alienated from her sister.

¹⁸A odkryla svoje smilstvá a odkryla svoju nahotu, a vtedy sa i moja duša odlúčila od nej, ako sa predtým odlúčila moja duša od jej sestry.

¹⁹Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she played the harlot in the land of Egypt;

¹⁹Lebo rozmnožila svoje smilstvá rozpomínajúc sa na dni svojej mladosti, v ktorých smilnila v Egyptskej zemi.

²⁰and she lusted after their paramours, whose flesh is [as] the flesh of asses, and whose issue is [as] the issue of horses.

²⁰A zahorela chlipnou ľúbosťou proti ich súložníkom, ktorých telo je ako telo oslov a ich tok ako tok koňov.

²¹And thou didst look back to the lewdness of thy youth, in the handling of thy teats by the Egyptians, for the breasts of thy youth.

²¹A obzerala si sa v svojej porušenej mysli po mrzkosti svojej mladosti, keď hen od Egypta mačkali tvoju hruď pre prsia tvojej mladosti.

²²Therefore, Oholibah, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy soul is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side.

²²Preto, Aholiba, takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Hľa, zobudím proti tebe tvojich milencov, tých, od ktorých sa odlúčila tvoja duša, a dovediem ich na teba zo všetkých strán,

²³The children of Babylon, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, all the children of Asshur with them; all of them attractive young men, governors and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses.

²³synov Babylona a všetkých Chaldejov, Pekoďanov, Šoanov a Koanov, všetkých synov Assúra s nimi, výborní to mládenci žiadostní, vojvodovia a kniežatá všetci, koľko ich je, rytieri a slovutní, jazdiaci na koňoch, všetci.

²⁴And they shall come against thee [with] armour, chariots and wheels, and with an assemblage of peoples; they shall set themselves against thee [with] target, and shield, and helmet round about; and I will put judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.

²⁴A prijdú na teba so zbraňou, s vozmi a s kárami a s hromadou národov, s paväzou, štítom a šišakom, a tak sa rozložia proti tebe dookola, a dám pred nich súd, a budú ťa súdiť svojimi súdami.

²⁵And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall cut off thy nose and thine ears, and thy remnant shall fall by the sword; they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.

²⁵A dám na teba svoju žiarlivosť, a budú s tebou konať v prchlivosti, odnímu tvoj nos i tvoje uši, a ostatok ťa padne mečom. Tí poberú tvojich synov i tvoje dcéry, a čo ešte zostane z teba, to strávi oheň.

²⁶They shall also strip the of thy garments, and take away thy fair jewels.

²⁶A vyzlečú ti tvoje rúcho a poberú klenoty tvojej ozdoby.

²⁷And I will make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom [brought] from the land of Egypt; and thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.

²⁷A tak učiním prietrž tvojej mrzkosti u teba i tvojmu smilstvu z Egyptskej zeme, a nepozdvihneš k nim svojich očí a Egypta viacej nespomenieš.

²⁸For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will give thee over into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy soul is alienated.

²⁸Lebo takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Hľa, vydám ťa do ruky tých, ktorých nenávidíš, do ruky tých, od ktorých sa odlúčila tvoja duša,

²⁹And they shall deal with thee in hatred, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare; so that the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy fornications.

²⁹a budú konať s tebou v nenávisti a poberú ti všetko, čoho si nadobudla ťažkou prácou, a zanechajú ťa holú a nahú, a tak bude odkrytá nahota tvojho smilstva a tvoja mrzkosť a tvoje smilstvá.

³⁰These things shall be done unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the nations, because thou hast defiled thyself with their idols.

³⁰A to ti vykonajú za to, že si smilnila chodiac za pohanmi, pretože si sa poškvrnila ich ukydanými bohmi.

³¹Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; and I have given her cup into thy hand.

³¹Chodila si cestou svojej sestry, a preto dám jej pohár do tvojej ruky.

³²Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou shalt drink of thy sister's cup deep and large; thou shalt be for a laughing-stock and a derision, [for] it containeth much.

³²Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Pohár svojej sestry budeš piť, hlboký a široký; budeš za žart a za posmech; mnoho vojde do neho;

³³Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, the cup of thy sister Samaria;

³³budeš naplnená opilosťou a zármutkom; bude to pohár hrôzy a spustošenia, pohár tvojej sestry Samárie.

³⁴thou shalt even drink it and suck it out, and thou shalt gnaw the sherds thereof, and pluck off thine own breasts: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord Jehovah.

³⁴A vypiješ ho a vystrebeš a k tomu obhryzieš i jeho črepy a roztrháš svoje prsia, lebo ja som hovoril, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

³⁵Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy fornications.

³⁵Preto takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Preto, že si zabudla na mňa a zavrhla si ma za svoj chrbát, preto i ty nes svoju mrzkosť a svoje smilstvá.

³⁶And Jehovah said unto me, Son of man, wilt thou judge Oholah and Oholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations.

³⁶A Hospodin mi riekol: Synu človeka, či by si azda súdil Aholu a Aholibu zastávajúc ich? Nie, ale im oznám ich ohavnosti!

³⁷For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands; and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also passed over unto them their children, whom they bore unto me, to be devoured.

³⁷Lebo cudzoložily, a krv je na ich rukách, a cudzoložily so svojimi ukydanými bohmi, ba ešte aj svojich synov, ktorých mi porodily, im vodily cez oheň, aby ich požrali.

³⁸Moreover this have they done unto me: in the same day have they defiled my sanctuary and profaned my sabbaths.

³⁸K tomu ešte i toto mi vykonaly: zanečistily moju svätyňu toho istého dňa a znesvätily moje soboty.

³⁹For when they had slaughtered their children unto their idols, they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and behold, thus have they done in the midst of my house.

³⁹Lebo keď pobily svojich synov svojim ukydaným bohom, vošly do mojej svätyne toho istého dňa, aby ju poškvrnily. A hľa, tak to robievaly prostred môjho domu.

⁴⁰And furthermore, they sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and behold, they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thine eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments;

⁴⁰A čo ešte potom, keď poslaly po mužov, ktorí boli prišli z ďaleka, ku ktorým bol poslaný posol, a hľa, prišli; ktorým si sa umyla, nalíčila si svoje oči a ozdobila si sa ozdobou.

⁴¹and satest upon a stately bed, with a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hadst set mine incense and mine oil.

⁴¹Sadla si si na slávnej posteli, a pripravený stôl pred ňou, a položila si na ňu moje kadivo i môj olej,

⁴²And the voice of a multitude living carelessly was with her; and with people of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, and they put bracelets upon their hands, and a beautiful crown upon their heads.

⁴²a pritom sa ozývala surma ubezpečeného množstva. A k mužom z množstva obecného ľudu boli dovedení opilci z púšte, a dali náramky na ich ženské ruky a nádhernú korunu na ich hlavy.

⁴³And I said of her that was old in adulteries, Will she now commit her fornications, even she.

⁴³Vtedy som povedal o tej zodranej od mnohonásobného cudzoložstva: Teraz už budú smilniť s ňou a ona s nimi.

⁴⁴And they went in unto her, as they go in unto a whorish woman: so went they in unto Oholah and unto Oholibah the lewd women.

⁴⁴A tak vchádzali k nej, ako sa vchádza k žene smilnici; tak vchádzali k Ahole a k Aholibe k mrzkým ženám.

⁴⁵And righteous men, they shall judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, and with the judgment of women that shed blood; for they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.

⁴⁵Ale spravedliví mužovia, tí ich budú súdiť súdom cudzoložníc a súdom tých, ktoré vylievaly krv, pretože cudzoložily a majú krv na svojich rukách.

⁴⁶For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will bring up an assemblage against them, and will give them to be driven hither and thither and spoiled.

⁴⁶Lebo takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Doviesť hore na ne shromaždenie a dať ich za postrk a za lúpež!

⁴⁷And the assemblage shall stone them with stones, and despatch them with their swords; they shall kill their sons and their daughters, and burn their houses with fire.

⁴⁷A shromaždenie ich uhádže kamením a rozsekajú ich svojimi mečami, ich synov aj ich dcéry pobijú a ich domy popália ohňom.

⁴⁸And I will cause lewdness to cease out of the land, and all women shall receive instruction and shall not do according to your lewdness.

⁴⁸A tak učiním prietrž mrzkosti v zemi a vezmúc si príklad dajú sa karhať všetky ženy, a nevykonajú mrzkosti, jako je vaša.

⁴⁹And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols; and ye shall know that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.

⁴⁹A dajú vašu mrzkosť na vás, a ponesiete hriechy svojich ukydaných bohov, a zviete, že ja som Pán Hospodin.
