¹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹A stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

²Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,

²Synu človeka, obráť svoju tvár proti vrchu Seiru a prorokuj proti nemu

³and say unto it, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand upon thee, and I will make thee a desolation and an astonishment.

³a povieš mu: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Hľa, prijdem proti tebe, vrchu Seire, a vystriem na teba svoju ruku a obrátim ťa na pustinu a púšť.

⁴I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be a desolation: and thou shalt know that I [am] Jehovah.

⁴Tvoje mestá obrátim na spustošeninu, a ty budeš pustinou a zvieš, že ja som Hospodin.

⁵Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword, in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end;

⁵Preto, že máš večné nepriateľstvo a vydávaš synov Izraelových moci meča v čase ich nešťastia, v čase vrcholnej neprávosti, ktorou už bude koniec,

⁶therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will certainly appoint thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee; since thou hast not hated blood, blood shall pursue thee.

⁶preto jako že ja žijem, hovorí Pán Hospodin, že ťa pripravím na krv, a krv ťa bude stíhať. Ba hej, nenávidel si krvi, a krv ťa bude stíhať.

⁷And I will make mount Seir a desolation and an astonishment, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth;

⁷A obrátim vrch Seir na hroznú pustinu a vyplienim z neho toho, kto by išiel a vrátil sa cezeň,

⁸and I will fill his mountains with his slain. In thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy water-courses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

⁸a naplním jeho vrchy jeho pobitými; na tvojich brehoch a v tvojich dolinách a po všetkých tvojich potokoch budú padať pobití od meča.

⁹I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not be inhabited: and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

⁹Obrátim ťa na večné pustiny, a tvoje mestá už nebudú obývané, a zviete, že ja som Hospodin.

¹⁰Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it, whereas Jehovah was there:

¹⁰Preto, že hovoríš: Oba tie národy a obe tie zeme budú moje, a budeme tým vládnuť dedične, hoci tam bol Hospodin,

¹¹therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I will even do according to thine anger and according to thine envy, as thou hast done out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I shall judge thee.

¹¹preto jako že ja žijem, hovorí Pán Hospodin, že učiním podľa tvojho hnevu a podľa tvojej závisti, podľa toho, čo si ty robil zo svojej nenávisti proti nim, a dám sa poznať medzi nimi, keď ťa budem súdiť.

¹²And thou shalt know that I Jehovah have heard all thy reproaches, which thou hast uttered against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.

¹²A zvieš, že ja Hospodin som počul všetky tvoje rúhania, ktoré si hovoril proti vrchom Izraelovým, že vraj spustly, nám sú dané za pokrm.

¹³And ye have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard [them].

¹³A honosili ste sa proti mne svojimi ústami a hromadili ste svoje slová proti mne; ja som počul.

¹⁴Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee a desolation.

¹⁴Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Keď sa bude radovať celá zem, vtedy ti ju učiním pustinou.

¹⁵As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolated, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be a desolation, O mount Seir, and all Edom, the whole of it: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

¹⁵Jako sa ty raduješ nad dedičstvom domu Izraelovho, pretože spustlo, tak učiním tebe. Pustinou budeš, vrchu Seire, i celý Edom, celá Idumea, a zvedia, že ja som Hospodin.
