¹And thou, son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Mountains of Israel, hear the word of Jehovah.

¹A ty, synu človeka, prorokuj o vrchoch Izraelových a povieš: Vrchy Izraelove, počujte slovo Hospodinovo!

²Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha! and, The ancient high places are become ours in possession;

²Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Preto, že nepriateľ hovorí o vás: Aha! A čo do večných výšin, to bude nám do državia!

³therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because, yea, because they have made [you] desolate, and have swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the remnant of the nations, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and in the defaming of the people:

³preto prorokuj a povieš: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Preto, a práve preto, že vás pustošili a hltali zo všetkých strán, aby ste boly državím ostatku národov a brané ste na ret jazyka a v zlú povesť ľudu,

⁴therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Jehovah. Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to the mountains and to the hills, to the water-courses and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes and to the cities that are forsaken, which are become a prey and a derision to the remnant of the nations that are round about,

⁴preto, vrchy Izraelove, počujte slovo Pána Hospodina: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin vrchom a brehom, potokom a dolinám, pustým spustošeninám a opusteným mestám, ktoré sa staly lúpežou a posmechom ostatku národov, ktoré sú naokolo,

⁵-- therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the remnant of the nations, and against the whole of Edom, which have appointed my land unto themselves for a possession with the joy of all [their] heart, with despite of soul, to plunder it by pillage.

⁵preto takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Ba istotne budem hovoriť v ohni svojej horlivosti proti ostatku národov a proti celej Idumei, ktorí si osvojili moju zem za državie radujúc sa celým srdcom s opovrhovaním z duše, aby ju zahnali v lúpež.

⁶Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains and to the hills, to the water-courses and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the ignominy of the nations;

⁶Preto prorokuj o zemi Izraelovej a povieš vrchom a brehom, potokom a dolinám: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Hľa, hovoril som vo svojej horlivosti a vo svojej prchlivosti, pretože nesiete potupu národov.

⁷therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I have lifted up my hand, [saying,] Verily the nations that are about you, they shall bear their shame.

⁷Preto takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Ja som pozdvihol svoju ruku prisahajúc, že národy, ktoré sú vôkol vás, tie ponesú svoju potupu.

⁸And ye mountains of Israel shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people Israel: for they are at hand to come.

⁸A vy, vrchy Izraelove, poženiete svoje letorasty a budete donášať svoje ovocie môjmu ľudu Izraelovi, lebo sa priblížili, aby prišli.

⁹For behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown.

⁹Lebo hľa, prijdem k vám a pohliadnem na vás, a budete obrábané a posievané.

¹⁰And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, the whole of it; and the cities shall be inhabited, and the waste places shall be builded.

¹⁰A rozmnožím na vás ľudí, celý dom Izraelov, koľko ho je, a mestá budú obývané a spustošeniny vystavené.

¹¹And I will multiply upon you man and beast, and they shall increase and bring forth fruit; and I will cause you to be inhabited as [in] your former times, yea, I will make it better than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

¹¹Rozmnožím na vás ľudí i hovädá, a budú sa množiť a plodiť, a učiním to, že budete obývané jako za vašich predošlých čias, áno, budem vám činiť ešte lepšie ako za vášho počiatku, a zviete, že ja som Hospodin.

¹²And I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of children.

¹²A spôsobím to, že budú po vás chodiť ľudia, môj ľud Izrael, a budú tebou vládnuť dedične, a budeš im za dedičstvo a neosirotíš ich viacej.

¹³Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because they say unto you, Thou devourest men, and hast bereaved thy nation,

¹³Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Preto, že vám hovoria: Ty si zem, ktorá zožieraš ľudí a osirotievala si svoje národy,

¹⁴therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nation any more, saith the Lord Jehovah;

¹⁴preto nebudeš už viacej žrať ľudí ani neurobíš viacej toho, aby klesly tvoje národy, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

¹⁵neither will I cause thee to hear the ignominy of the nations any more, and thou shalt not bear the reproach of the peoples any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nation to fall any more, saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁵A nedopustím, aby si ešte voľakedy slýchala potupu národov, ani neponesieš viacej pohany ľudí, jako ani neučiníš toho, aby klesly tvoje národy, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

¹⁶And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹⁶A stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

¹⁷Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a woman in her separation.

¹⁷Synu človeka, dom Izraelov bývajúc na svojej zemi zanečistili ju svojou cestou a svojimi skutkami; jako nečistota ženy, oddelenej pre svoju nečistotu, bola ich cesta predo mnou.

¹⁸And I poured out my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and because they had defiled it with their idols.

¹⁸Preto som vylial na nich svoju prchlivosť pre krv, ktorú vylievali na zemi, a pretože ju zanečistili svojimi ukydanými bohmi.

¹⁹And I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

¹⁹A rozptýlil som ich medzi národy, a sú rozohnaní po zemiach; podľa ich cesty a podľa ich skutkov som ich súdil.

²⁰And when they came to the nations whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when it was said of them, These are the people of Jehovah, and they are gone forth out of his land.

²⁰Ba ešte aj prijdúc medzi národy, kam prišli, poškvrnili meno mojej svätosti, keď hovorili o nich: Toto sú ľud Hospodinov a vyšli z jeho zeme.

²¹But I had pity for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations whither they went.

²¹Ale som šetril pre meno svojej svätosti, ktoré poškvrnili dom Izraelov medzi národami, kam prišli.

²²Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for my holy name, which ye have profaned among the nations whither ye went.

²²Preto povedz domu Izraelovmu: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Nie pre vás to činím, dome Izraelov, ale pre meno svojej svätosti, ktoré ste poškvrnili medzi národami, kam ste prišli.

²³And I will hallow my great name, which was profaned among the nations, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I [am] Jehovah, saith the Lord Jehovah, when I shall be hallowed in you before their eyes.

²³Ale posvätím svoje veľké meno, poškvrnené medzi národami, ktoré ste poškvrnili medzi nimi, a poznajú národy, že ja som Hospodin, hovorí Pán Hospodin, keď sa posvätím vo vás pred ich očami.

²⁴And I will take you from among the nations, and gather you out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.

²⁴Lebo vás poberiem z národov a shromaždím vás zo všetkých zemí a dovediem vás do vašej zeme.

²⁵And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your uncleannesses and from all your idols will I cleanse you.

²⁵A pokropím vás čistou vodou, a budete čistí; od všetkých vašich nečistôt aj od všetkých vašich ukydaných bohov vás očistím.

²⁶And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

²⁶A dám vám nové srdce a nového ducha dám do vášho vnútra a odstránim to kamenné srdce z vášho tela a dám vám srdce z mäsa.

²⁷And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and keep mine ordinances, and ye shall do them.

²⁷A dám svojho Ducha do vášho vnútra a učiním to, aby ste chodili v mojich ustanoveniach a ostríhali moje súdy a činili ich.

²⁸And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

²⁸A budete bývať v zemi, ktorú som dal vašim otcom, a budete mi ľudom, a ja vám budem Bohom.

²⁹And I will save you from all your uncleannesses; and I will call for the corn and will multiply it, and lay no famine upon you.

²⁹A zachránim vás zo všetkých vašich nečistôt a zavolám na obilie a rozmnožím ho a nedopustím na vás hladu.

³⁰And I will multiply the fruit of the trees and the increase of the field, so that ye may receive no more the reproach of famine among the nations.

³⁰A rozmnožím ovocie stromov a úrodu poľa, aby ste viacej nebrali potupy hladu medzi národami.

³¹And ye shall remember your evil ways, and your doings which were not good, and shall loathe yourselves for your iniquities and for your abominations.

³¹A rozpamätáte sa na svoje zlé cesty a na svoje skutky, ktoré neboly dobré, a budete sa oškliviť sami sebe pre svoje neprávosti a pre svoje ohavnosti.

³²Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord Jehovah, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your ways, O house of Israel.

³²Neurobím toho pre vás, hovorí Pán Hospodin, nech vám je to známe! Hanbite sa a styďte sa pre svoje cesty, dome Izraelov.

³³Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In the day that I shall cleanse you from all your iniquities I will also cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places shall be builded.

³³Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Toho dňa, ktorého vás očistím od všetkých vašich neprávostí, osadím mestá, a tie spustošeniny budú vystavené.

³⁴And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it was a desolation in the sight of all that passed by.

³⁴A zem, ktorá bola spustošená, bude zase obrábaná, miesto toho, čo bola pustinou pred očima každého, kto išiel tade.

³⁵And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities [are] fortified [and] inhabited.

³⁵A povedia: Táto zem, ktorá bola spustošená, je ako zahrada Éden, a mestá, spustošené, opustené a rozborené, sú ohradené obývané.

³⁶And the nations that shall be left round about you shall know that I Jehovah build the ruined places [and] plant that which was desolate: I Jehovah have spoken, and I will do [it].

³⁶A zvedia národy, ktoré pozostanú vôkol vás, že ja Hospodin som vystavil tie zboreniny a vysadil spustošeniny. Ja Hospodin som hovoril a učiním.

³⁷Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will yet for this be inquired of by the house of Israel, to do it unto them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

³⁷Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Ešte i v tej veci sa dám najsť domu Izraelovmu, aby som im to učinil: Rozmnožím ich ako stádo ľudí.

³⁸As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her set feasts, so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

³⁸Jako stádo posviatností, jako stádo Jeruzalema na jeho slávnosti, také budú tie spustošené mestá plné stáda ľudí, a zvedia, že ja som Hospodin.
