¹Hear this, ye priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ear, O house of the king: for this judgment is for you; for ye have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.

¹Počujte to kňazi, a pozorujte ušami, dome Izraelov, a, dome kráľov, čujte nakloniac uši, lebo vám platí súd, pretože ste boli osídlom v Micpe a rozostretou sieťou na Tábore.

²And they have plunged themselves in the corruption of apostasy, but I will be a chastiser of them all.

²A, vybočili z cesty, zabŕdli hlboko v zabíjaní; ale ja dám každému z nich jeho zaslúžený trest.

³I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me; for now, Ephraim, thou hast committed whoredom; Israel is defiled.

³Ja znám Efraima, a Izrael nie je skrytý predo mnou; lebo teraz smilníš, Efraime; zanečistený je Izrael.

⁴Their doings do not allow them to return unto their God; for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they know not Jehovah.

⁴Nedopúšťajú toho ich skutky, aby sa navrátili k svojmu Bohu, lebo duch smilstva je medzi nimi, a Hospodina neznajú.

⁵And Israel's pride doth testify to his face; and Israel and Ephraim shall fall by their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them.

⁵Ale pýcha Izraelova svedčí do jeho tvári. A Izrael a Efraim klesnú pre svoju neprávosť, klesne s nimi i Júda.

⁶They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah; but they shall not find [him]: he hath withdrawn himself from them.

⁶Pojdú hľadať Hospodina svojím stádom drobného dobytka a svojím stádom hoviad, ale nenajdú; vzdialil sa od nich.

⁷They have dealt treacherously against Jehovah; for they have begotten strange children: now shall the new moon devour them, with their allotted possessions.

⁷Dopúšťali sa nevernosti proti Hospodinovi, lebo naplodili cudzích synov; teraz ich požerie novmesiac aj s ich podielom zeme.

⁸Blow the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah; cry aloud [at] Beth-aven: behind thee, O Benjamin!

⁸Trúbte na trúbu v Gibei, na surmitu v Ráme, kričte v Bét-ávene! Za tebou, Benjamine!

⁹Ephraim shall be a desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which is sure.

⁹Efraim bude obrátený v púšť v deň kázne; v pokoleniach Izraelových oznámim istú pravdu.

¹⁰The princes of Judah are become like them that remove the landmark: I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

¹⁰Kniežatá Júdove sú podobné tým, ktorí prenášajú medzu; na ne vylejem svoju prchlivosť ako vodu.

¹¹Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, because in selfwill he walked after the commandment [of man].

¹¹Efraim je utisknutý, zlomený súdom, lebo volí chodiť za ľudským prikázaním.

¹²And I will be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

¹²A ja som Efraimovi jako moľ a jako hnis domu Júdovmu.

¹³When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his sore, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb; but he was unable to heal you, nor hath he removed your sore.

¹³A keď videl Efraim svoj neduh a Júda svoj hnisavý vred, odišiel Efraim k Assúrovi a poslal ku kráľovi Jarebovi. Ale on vás nebude môcť uzdraviť ani vás nevyhojí z vášho hnisavého vredu.

¹⁴For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah. I, I will tear and go away; I will carry off, and there shall be none to deliver.

¹⁴Lebo ja budem Efraimovi jako ľúty lev a jako ľvíča domu Júdovmu. Ja, ja uchvatnúc roztrhám a pojdem, odnesiem, a nebude toho, kto by vytrhnul.

¹⁵I will go away, I will return to my place, till they acknowledge their trespass, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

¹⁵Pojdem, navrátim sa na svoje miesto, dokiaľ neuznajú svojej viny a nebudú hľadať mojej tvári.
