¹Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, and standeth not in the way of sinners, and sitteth not in the seat of scorners;

¹Blahoslavený muž, ktorý nechodí podľa rady bezbožných, na ceste hriešnikov nestojí a na stolici posmievačov nesedí.

²But his delight is in Jehovah's law, and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

²Ale má záľubu v zákone Hospodinovom a o jeho zákone rozmýšľa dňom i nocou.

³And he [is] as a tree planted by brooks of water, which giveth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf fadeth not; and all that he doeth prospereth.

³A bude jako strom, zasadený nad potokmi vody, ktorý dáva svoje ovocie svojím časom, ktorého list nevädne, a všetko, čokoľvek bude robiť, podarí sa mu.

⁴The wicked are not so; but are as the chaff which the wind driveth away.

⁴Nie tak bezbožní, ale tí budú jako plevy, ktoré rozháňa vietor.

⁵Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

⁵Preto neobstoja bezbožní na súde ani hriešnici v shromaždení spravedlivých.

⁶For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

⁶Lebo Hospodin zná cestu spravedlivých, ale cesta bezbožných zahynie.
