Psalms

14

1{To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David.} The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They have corrupted themselves, they have done abominable works: there is none that doeth good.
1Náčelníkovi speváckeho sboru. Žalm Dávidov. Blázon hovorí vo svojom srdci: Niet Boha. - Porušení sú a páchajú ohavný skutok. Neni toho, kto by činil dobré.
2Jehovah looked down from the heavens upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
2Hospodin pozrel z nebies na synov človeka, aby videl, či je niekto medzi nimi rozumný, hľadajúci Boha.
3They have all gone aside, they are together become corrupt: there is none that doeth good, not even one.
3Všetci dovedna sa odvrátili: zkazení sú. Neni toho, kto by činil dobré, neni ani jedného.
4Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, eating up my people [as] they eat bread? They call not upon Jehovah.
4Či toho nevedia všetci činitelia neprávosti, ktorí zjedajú môj ľud, ako jedia chlieb, a na Hospodina nevolajú?
5There were they in great fear; for God is in the generation of the righteous.
5Tam sa raz budú náramne desiť; lebo Hospodin je v pokolení spravedlivého.
6Ye have shamed the counsel of the afflicted, because Jehovah [was] his refuge.
6Radu biedneho zahanbujete, lebo Hospodin je jeho útočišťom.
7Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Jehovah turneth again the captivity of his people, Jacob shall be glad, Israel shall rejoice.
7Ó, aby bolo dané spasenie Izraelovi so Siona! Keď navráti Hospodin zajatých svojho ľudu, plesať bude Jakob, radovať sa bude Izrael.
