2As long as I live will I praise Jehovah; I will sing psalms unto my God while I have my being.
2Chváliť budem Hospodina, kým len žijem; spievať budem svojmu Bohu žalmy, dokiaľ som.
3Put not confidence in nobles, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.
3Nenadejte sa na kniežatá, na syna človeka, ktorý nemá spasenia.
4His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his purposes perish.
4Vyjde jeho duch, navráti sa do svojej zeme; v ten istý deň zahynuly jeho úmysly.
5Blessed is he who hath the ùGod of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God,
5Blahoslavený je ten, komu je silný Bôh Jakobov na pomoc, jeho nádej na Hospodina, jeho Boha,
6Who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is therein; who keepeth truth for ever;
6ktorý učinil nebesia i zem, more i všetko, čo je v nich, ktorý ostríha pravdu na veky,
7Who executeth judgment for the oppressed, who giveth bread to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;
7ktorý činí súd utlačeným a dáva chlieb hladným. Hospodin oslobodzuje väzňov.
8Jehovah openeth [the eyes of] the blind; Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down; Jehovah loveth the righteous;
8Hospodin otvára oči slepých. Hospodin narovnáva zohnutých. Hospodin miluje spravedlivých.
9Jehovah preserveth the strangers; he lifteth up the fatherless and the widow; but the way of the wicked doth he subvert.
9Hospodin ostríha pohostínov; pomáha sirote a vdove; ale cestu bezbožných prevracia.
10Jehovah will reign for ever, [even] thy God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Halleluiah!
10Hospodin kraľuje na veky, tvoj Bôh, Sione, na pokolenie a pokolenie. Hallelujah!
