¹{Of David. A Psalm.} The earth is Jehovah's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

¹Žalm Dávidov. Hospodinova je zem i jej náplň, okruh zeme i tí, ktorí bývajú na ňom;

²For it was he that founded it upon seas, and established it upon floods.

²lebo on ho založil na moriach a postavil ho na riekach tak, aby stál.

³Who shall ascend into the mount of Jehovah? and who shall stand in his holy place?

³Kto vystúpi na vrch Hospodinov, a kto bude stáť na mieste jeho svätosti?

⁴He that hath blameless hands and a pure heart; who lifteth not up his soul unto vanity, nor sweareth deceitfully:

⁴Ten, kto je nevinných rúk a čistého srdca, kto nepovzniesol svojej duše k márnosti a neprisahal falošne.

⁵He shall receive blessing from Jehovah, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

⁵Ten si odnesie požehnanie od Hospodina a spravedlivosť od Boha svojho spasenia.

⁶This is the generation of them that seek unto him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

⁶To je pokolenie tých, ktorí sa pýtajú po ňom, pokolenie hľadajúcich tvoju tvár, Bože Jakobov. Sélah.

⁷Lift up your heads, ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

⁷Pozdvihnite, brány, svoje hlavy! Pozdvihnite sa, vráta večnosti, a vojde Kráľ slávy.

⁸Who is this King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty in battle.

⁸Kto je to ten Kráľ slávy? Hospodin, preveliký v sile a hrdina, Hospodin, vojenný hrdina.

⁹Lift up your heads, ye gates; yea, lift up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

⁹Pozdvihnite, brány, svoje hlavy a pozdvihnite ich, vráta večnosti, a vojde Kráľ slávy!

¹⁰Who is he, this King of glory? Jehovah of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
