1Exult, ye righteous, in Jehovah: praise is comely for the upright.
1Plesajte, spravedliví, v Hospodinovi! Úprimným sluší chvála.
2Give thanks unto Jehovah with the harp; sing psalms unto him with the ten-stringed lute.
2Oslavujte Hospodina na citare a na harfe o desiatich strunách; spievajte mu žalmy!
3Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud sound.
3Spievajte mu novú pieseň; huďte dobre s radostným pokrikom!
4For the word of Jehovah is right, and all his work is in faithfulness.
4Lebo slovo Hospodinovo je priame, a každé jeho dielo je stále.
5He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the loving-kindness of Jehovah.
5Milujte spravedlivosť a súd; zem je plná milosti Hospodinovej.
6By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
6Slovom Hospodinovým učinené sú nebesia a duchom jeho úst všetko ich vojsko.
7He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; he layeth up the deeps in storehouses.
7Hromadí vody mora a stavia ich ako hať; dáva priepasti medzi poklady.
8Let all the earth fear Jehovah; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
8Nech sa bojí Hospodina celá zem; nech sa ho strachujú všetci obyvatelia okruhu sveta.
9For *he* spoke, and it was [done]; *he* commanded, and it stood fast.
9Lebo on povedal, a stalo sa; on rozkázal, a postavilo sa.
10Jehovah frustrateth the counsel of the nations; he maketh the thoughts of the peoples of none effect.
10Hospodin ruší radu národov; na nič obracia myšlienky ľudí.
11The counsel of Jehovah standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
11Rada Hospodinova stojí na veky, myšlienky jeho srdca z pokolenia na pokolenie.
12Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, the people that he hath chosen for his inheritance!
12Blahoslavený národ, ktorého je Hospodin Bohom, ľud, ktorý vyvolil sebe za dedičstvo.
13Jehovah looketh from the heavens; he beholdeth all the sons of men:
13Hospodin hľadí z nebies; vidí všetkých synov človeka.
14From the place of his habitation he looketh forth upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
14Zo stanovišťa svojho obydlia pozerá na všetkých obyvateľov zeme,
15He who fashioneth the hearts of them all, who considereth all their works.
15on, ktorý utvoril srdce ich všetkých dovedna, ktorý rozumie všetkým ich dielam.
16The king is not saved by the multitude of [his] forces; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
16Kráľ nie je zachránený velikou mocou vojennou, ani hrdina nebude vytrhnutý svojou velikou silou.
17The horse is a vain thing for safety; neither doth he deliver by his great power.
17Klamný je kôň, kde ide o záchranu, a nevychváti vo svojej veľkej sile.
18Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his loving-kindness,
18Hľa, oko Hospodinovo hľadí na tých, ktorí sa ho boja, na tých, ktorí očakávajú na jeho milosť,
19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
19aby vytrhol ich dušu zo smrti a živil ich v čas hladu.
20Our soul waiteth for Jehovah: he is our help and our shield.
20Naša duša čaká Hospodina; našou pomocou a naším štítom je on.
21For in him shall our heart rejoice, because we have confided in his holy name.
21Lebo v ňom sa bude radovať naše srdce, pretože sa nadejeme na meno jeho svätosti.
22Let thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, according as we have hoped in thee.
22Nech je, ó, Hospodine, tvoja milosť nad nami, jako očakávame na teba.
