¹And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

¹Zvino Jehovha wakataura naMozisi akati,

²Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded, saying,

²Taura naAroni navanakomana vake navana vaIsiraeri vose, uti kwavari, Ndiro shoko rakarairwa naJehovha:

³Every one of the house of Israel that slaughtereth an ox, or sheep, or goat, in the camp, or that slaughtereth it out of the camp,

³Munhu upi noupi kuna veimba yaIsiraeri unouraya nzombe, kana gwayana, kana mbudzi, mukati memisasa, kana unozviuraya kunze kwemisasa,

⁴and doth not bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting to present it as an offering to Jehovah, before the tabernacle of Jehovah, blood shall be reckoned unto that man: he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people,

⁴asina kuzviisa pamukova wetende rokusangana, kuzviisa pamberi petabhenakeri yaJehovha kuti chive chipo kuna Jehovha, munhu uyu anofanira kubviswa pakati porudzi rwake;

⁵to the end that the children of Israel bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, that they bring them to Jehovah, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, unto the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace-offerings to Jehovah.

⁵kuti vana vaIsiraeri vauye nezvibayiro zvavo zvavanobayira kusango, vauye nazvo kuna Jehovha kumukova wetende rokusangana kumupristi, kuti vazvibayire Jehovha, zvive zvibayiro zvezvipiriso zvokuyananisira.

⁶And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of Jehovah, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and burn the fat for a sweet odour to Jehovah.

⁶Zvino mupristi ngaasase ropa razvo paaritari yaJehovha, pamukova wetende rokusangana; apisewo mafuta, kuti zvinhuwire zvakanaka pamberi paJehovha.

⁷And they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices unto demons, after whom they go a whoring. This shall be an everlasting statute unto them for their generations.

⁷Havafaniri kuzobayira nhongo zvibayiro zvavo kumadhimoni, idzo dzavaitevera pakupata kwavo. Uyo unofanira kuva murayiro usingaperi kwavari kusvikira kumarudzi avo ose.

⁸And thou shalt say unto them, Every one of the house of Israel, and of the strangers who sojourn among them, that offereth up a burnt-offering or sacrifice,

⁸Iwe unofanira kuti kwavari, Munhu upi noupi waveimba yaIsiraeri, kana wavatorwa vagere pakati pavo, unopisira chipiriso chinopiswa kana chimwe chibayiro,

⁹and bringeth it not to the entrance of the tent of meeting, to offer it up to Jehovah -- that man shall be cut off from his peoples.

⁹asingauyi nacho kumukova wetende rokusangana, kuti achibayire Jehovha, munhu uyo anofanira kubviswa pakati porudzi rwake.

¹⁰And every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn among them, that eateth any manner of blood, -- I will set my face against the soul that hath eaten blood, and will cut him off from among his people;

¹⁰Munhu upi noupi waveimba yaIsiraeri, kana wavatorwa vagere pakati pavo, unodya ropa ripi neripi, ndichatonga munhu uyo unodya ropa, ndimubvise pakati porudzi rwake.

¹¹for the soul of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that maketh atonement for the soul.

¹¹nekuti upenyu bwenyama huri muropa; ndakakupai iro paaritari, kuti riyananisire mweya yenyu; nekuti iropa rinoyananisira nokuda koupenyu hurimo.

¹²Therefore have I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall the stranger who sojourneth among you eat blood.

¹²Naizvozvo ndakati kuvana vaIsiraeri, Kurege kuva nomumwe wenyu uchadya ropa, kana mutorwa upi noupi ugere pakati penyu, ngaarege kudya ropa.

¹³And every one of the children of Israel, and of the strangers who sojourn among them, that catcheth in the hunt a beast or fowl that may be eaten, he shall pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with earth;

¹³Munhu upi noupi kuvana vaIsiraeri, kana kuvatorwa vagere pakati pavo, wakabata pakuvhima kwake mhuka ipi neipi kana shiri inodyiwa, anofanira kudurura ropa rayo, ndokurifukidza neguruva.

¹⁴for as to the life of all flesh, its blood is the life in it; and I have said unto the children of Israel, Of the blood of no manner of flesh shall ye eat, for the life of all flesh is its blood: whoever eateth it shall be cut off.

¹⁴Nekuti kana huri upenyu hwenyama yose, ropa razvo ndihwo upenyu hwazvo, naizvozvo ndakati kuvana vaIsiraeri, Regai kudya ropa razvo; ani naani unoridya anofanira kubviswa:

¹⁵And every soul that eateth of a dead carcase, or of that which was torn, be it one home-born, or a stranger, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even: then he shall be clean.

¹⁵Munhu upi noupi unodya chinhu chakangofa choga, kana chakaurawa nezvikara, kana ari munhu wakaberekerwa pakati penyu, kana ari mutorwa, anofanira kusuka nguvo dzake, nokuzvishambidza nemvura, ave usina kunaka kusvikira madeko; ipapo uchazova wakanaka.

¹⁶And if he wash them not nor bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.

¹⁶Asi kana asingadzisuki, kana kushambidza muviri wake, uchafanira kuva nemhosva yake.
