Darby's Translation

1 Corinthians

6

1Dare any one of you, having a matter against another, prosecute his suit before the unjust, and not before the saints?
1 Araŋ game ra, da boro fo na boro fo kalima, a ga yaaru ka koy ciitikoy kaŋ si Irikoy cimo gana do no, i ma ciiti dumbu i se? Manti hanantey do no araŋ ga hima ka koy?
2Do ye not then know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy of [the] smallest judgments?
2 Wala araŋ mana bay kaŋ hanantey no ga ndunnya ciiti? D'araŋ no ga ndunnya ciiti binde, araŋ mana to naŋ kaŋ araŋ ga sanni kayney ciiti?
3Do ye not know that we shall judge angels? and not then matters of this life?
3 Araŋ mana bay kaŋ iri no ga malaykey ciiti, sanku fa zamana wo harey?
4If then ye have judgments as to things of this life, set those [to judge] who are little esteemed in the assembly.
4 Yaadin gaa, d'araŋ gonda zamana wo ciiti harey, araŋ ga boroyaŋ daŋ i ma ciiti, kaŋ yaŋ manti hay kulu Almasihu marga ra no?
5I speak to you [to put you] to shame. Thus there is not a wise person among you, not even one, who shall be able to decide between his brethren!
5 Ay go ga woodin ci zama araŋ ma haaw! Haba? Sohõ araŋ ga jaŋ laakalkooni folloŋ araŋ game ra kaŋ ga waani ka nya-izey da care sanni feeri?
6But brother prosecutes his suit with brother, and that before unbelievers.
6 Amma sohõ nya-ize fo go ga konda nga nya-izo ciito do. A go ga woodin te mo ciitikoy kaŋ manti Almasihu ganakoy jine!
7Already indeed then it is altogether a fault in you that ye have suits between yourselves. Why do ye not rather suffer wrong? why are ye not rather defrauded?
7 Haciika, baa sohõ woone te mursay hari gumo araŋ da care game ra, za kaŋ araŋ ga konda care ciiti do. Manti a ga bisa araŋ ma yadda nda toonye bo? Manti a ga bisa i m'araŋ kom?
8But *ye* do wrong, and defraud, and this [your] brethren.
8 Amma araŋ bumbey no goono ga toonye, araŋ goono ga kom mo, hal araŋ nya-izey gaa.
9Do ye not know that unrighteous [persons] shall not inherit [the] kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who make women of themselves, nor who abuse themselves with men,
9 Wala araŋ mana bay kaŋ bora kaŋ sinda adilitaray si Irikoy koytara tubu no? Wa s'araŋ boŋ darandi! Boro ziibey, wala tooru ganakoy, wala zina-teerey, wala aru-ci-way, wala aru-baay,
10nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor abusive persons, nor [the] rapacious, shall inherit [the] kingdom of God.
10 wala zayey, wala binikomey, wala baji-haŋ-ka-bugukoy, wala wowkoy, wala komkoy, ikulu si Irikoy koytara tubu.
11And these things were some of you; but ye have been washed, but ye have been sanctified, but ye have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
11 Araŋ ra afooyaŋ, yaadin no araŋ goro doŋ. Amma Irikoy n'araŋ nyumay, a n'araŋ hanandi, a n'araŋ adilandi* Rabbi Yesu Almasihu maa ra d'iri Irikoyo Biya do mo.
12All things are lawful to me, but all things do not profit; all things are lawful to me, but *I* will not be brought under the power of any.
12 Hay kulu ga halal ay se, day manti hay kulu no ga hagu ay se. Hay kulu ga halal ay se, amma ay si yadda hay kulu m'ay dabari.
13Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats; but God will bring to nothing both it and them: but the body [is] not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
13 }waari ya gunde wane no, gunde mo go ŋwaari se, amma Irikoy ga ihinka kulu halaci. Amma i mana gaaham te zina se, amma day Rabbi se. Rabbi mo go gaaham se.
14And God has both raised up the Lord, and will raise us up from among [the dead] by his power.
14 Irikoy na Rabbi tunandi ka kaa buuyaŋ ra nga dabaro do, a g'iri mo tunandi.
15Do ye not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then, taking the members of the Christ, make [them] members of a harlot? Far be the thought.
15 Wala araŋ mana bay kaŋ araŋ gaahamey ya Almasihu gaahamo jareyaŋ no? Ay ma Almasihu gaahamo jara sambu k'a ciya kaaruwa gaaham jare no? Abada!
16Do ye not know that he [that is] joined to the harlot is one body? for the two, he says, shall be one flesh.
16 Wala araŋ mana bay kaŋ boro kaŋ margu nda kaaruwa, a te gaaham folloŋ nga nd'a? Zama a ne: «I boro hinka ga ciya gaaham folloŋ».
17But he that [is] joined to the Lord is one Spirit.
17 Amma boro kaŋ margu nda Rabbi, a te biya folloŋ nga nd'a.
18Flee fornication. Every sin which a man may practise is without the body, but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.
18 Araŋ ma zuru zina se! Zunubi kulu kaŋ boro ga te, a si lamba boro gaahamo gaa. Amma boro kaŋ go ga zina te, a koy go ga taali te nga bumbo gaahamo se.
19Do ye not know that your body is [the] temple of the Holy Spirit which [is] in you, which ye have of God; and ye are not your own?
19 Wala araŋ mana bay kaŋ araŋ gaahamey ga ti Biya Hanna fuwo? Nga no go araŋ ra, Irikoy do mo no araŋ du a. Araŋ manti araŋ bumbey wane yaŋ mo no
20for ye have been bought with a price: glorify now then God in your body.
20 zama Irikoy n'araŋ day da hay bambata. Yaadin gaa araŋ ma Irikoy beerandi araŋ gaahamey ra.
