¹But the Spirit speaks expressly, that in latter times some shall apostatise from the faith, giving their mind to deceiving spirits and teachings of demons

¹ Amma Biya _Hanno|_ go ga ci taray kwaaray ka ne: alwaati banantey ra boro fooyaŋ ga murte cimi fonda gaa, ka laakal ye biyey kaŋ yaŋ ga borey fafagu gaa, da dondonandiyaŋey kaŋ yaŋ ga fun follayey do gaa.

²speaking lies in hypocrisy, cauterised as to their own conscience,

² Woodin yaŋ ga te tangarikomey munaficitara ra. Borey din bine lasaabey ga sandi, danga haŋ kaŋ i kakatu da guuru kaŋ i daŋ danji ra.

³forbidding to marry, [bidding] to abstain from meats, which God has created for receiving with thanksgiving for them who are faithful and know the truth.

³ I ga wangu borey ma hiiji. I ga ne mo borey ma si ŋwaari dumi fooyaŋ ŋwa kaŋ Irikoy te borey m'i ŋwa nda saabuyaŋ se, borey kaŋ go ga cimandi, kaŋ ga cimi bay mo.

⁴For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing [is] to be rejected, being received with thanksgiving;

⁴ Zama hay kulu kaŋ Irikoy taka ga boori. I mana hima ka wangu hay kulu d'i g'a ŋwa da saabuyaŋ,

⁵for it is sanctified by God's word and freely addressing [him].

⁵ zama a halal Irikoy sanno da adduwa mo do.

⁶Laying these things before the brethren, thou wilt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished with the words of the faith and of the good teaching which thou hast fully followed up.

⁶ Da ni ga nya-izey fahamandi nda woodin yaŋ, ni ga ciya Almasihu goy-teeri hanno, kaŋ ga nga boŋ funa nda cimbeeri sanney da dondonandiyaŋ hanna kaŋ ni gana hala hõ.

⁷But profane and old wives' fables avoid, but exercise thyself unto piety;

⁷ Amma ma fay da wayboro zeeney jandey kaŋ yaŋ sinda Irikoy ganayaŋ. Ma ni boŋ gooji Irikoy ganayaŋ fonda ra.

⁸for bodily exercise is profitable for a little, but piety is profitable for everything, having promise of life, of the present one, and of that to come.

⁸ Zama gaaham goojiyaŋ gonda albarka kayna, amma Irikoy fonda ganayaŋ gonda albarka hay kulu ra, zama a gonda alkawli fundi woone se da wo kaŋ ga kaa mo se.

⁹The word [is] faithful and worthy of all acceptation;

⁹ Sanno din naanaykoy no kaŋ to boro kulu m'a ta.

¹⁰for, for this we labour and suffer reproach, because we hope in a living God, who is preserver of all men, specially of those that believe.

¹⁰ Woodin sabbay se iri go ga goy, iri go ga kookari, zama iri n'iri beeja sinji Irikoy Fundikoono gaa. Nga ga ti boro kulu Faabako, sanku fa ngey kaŋ n'a cimandi binde.

¹¹Enjoin and teach these things.

¹¹ Ma hayey din lordi k'i dondonandiyaŋ te mo.

¹²Let no one despise thy youth, but be a model of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

¹² Ma si naŋ boro kulu ma donda ni zankatara, amma ma ciya deedandiyaŋ hari borey kaŋ goono ga cimandi se. Ma ciya yaadin sanni ra, da te-goy, da baakasinay, da cimbeeri, da bine hananyaŋ ra mo.

¹³Till I come, give thyself to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.

¹³ Ma laakal ye Irikoy Sanno cawyaŋ gaa Almasihu margey ra, da yaamaryaŋ da dondonandiyaŋ gaa mo, hal ay ma kaa.

¹⁴Be not negligent of the gift [that is] in thee, which has been given to thee through prophecy, with imposition of the hands of the elderhood.

¹⁴ Ma si nooyaŋo kaŋ go ni ra muray, kaŋ i na ni no annabitaray da arkusey* kambe dakeyaŋ do.

¹⁵Occupy thyself with these things; be wholly in them, that thy progress may be manifest to all.

¹⁵ Ma laakal ye hayey din gaa, ma ni boŋ no i se da cimi, hala boro kulu ma ni jina-koyyaŋo bay.

¹⁶Give heed to thyself and to the teaching; continue in them; for, doing this, thou shalt save both thyself and those that hear thee.

¹⁶ Ma haggoy da ni boŋ da ni dondonandiyaŋo mo, ma mo ye woodin yaŋ gaa, zama woodin yaŋ teeyaŋ gaa no ni ga ni boŋ faaba, da borey mo kaŋ yaŋ go ga hangan ni se.
