Darby's Translation

Zarma

2 Corinthians

11

1Would that ye would bear with me [in] a little folly; but indeed bear with me.
2For I am jealous as to you with a jealousy [which is] of God; for I have espoused you unto one man, to present [you] a chaste virgin to Christ.
2 Ay go ga canse araŋ gaa da Irikoy cansa dumo. Zama ay n'araŋ suuban kurnye folloŋ se kaŋ ga ti Almasihu, ay ma konda araŋ a do danga wandiyo hanno.
3But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craft, [so] your thoughts should be corrupted from simplicity as to the Christ.
3 Amma ay ga humburu hal a ma si ciya, mate kaŋ cine gondo na Hawa halli nda nga carma, yaadin cine no araŋ laakaley ma bare ka fun cimo da hananyaŋ gaa kaŋ araŋ gonda Almasihu ra.
4For if indeed he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or ye get a different Spirit, which ye have not got, or a different glad tidings, which ye have not received, ye might well bear with [it].
4 Zama nda boro fo kaa kaŋ go ga Yesu waani fo waazu te, kaŋ manti iri wano, wala nd'araŋ go ga biya waani fo ta, kaŋ araŋ man'a ta doŋ, wala Baaru Hanno waani fo, kaŋ araŋ mana yadda nd'a doŋ, ikulu araŋ go mo ga suuru nd'ey hal a ma boori!
5For I reckon that in nothing I am behind those who are in surpassing degree apostles.
6But if [I am] a simple person in speech, yet not in knowledge, but in everything making [the truth] manifest in all things to you.
7Have I committed sin, abasing myself in order that *ye* might be exalted, because I gratuitously announced to you the glad tidings of God?
8I spoiled other assemblies, receiving hire for ministry towards you.
9And being present with you and lacking, I did not lazily burden any one, (for the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied what I lacked,) and in everything I kept myself from being a burden to you, and will keep myself.
9 Waato kaŋ ay go araŋ do, kaŋ ay go jaŋay ra mo, ay mana jaraw dake boro kulu boŋ.
10[The] truth of Christ is in me that this boasting shall not be stopped as to me in the regions of Achaia.
10 Ay ga woone ci da Almasihu cimo kaŋ go ay ra: Akaya ra boro kulu s'ay ganji ay ma fooma nda woodin.
11Why? because I do not love you? God knows.
11 Ifo se? Zama ay si ba araŋ no? To, Irikoy ga bay!
12But what I do, I will also do, that I may cut off the opportunity of those wishing [for] an opportunity, that wherein they boast they may be found even as we.
12 Amma haya kaŋ ay te, nga no ay ga soobay ka te, hal ay ma kobay kulu kaa borey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga daama ceeci ngey ma ngey boŋ sifa ka ne ngey go ga goy sanda iri cine.
13For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
13 Zama borey din dumi ya diya tangarikomyaŋ no, goy-teeriyaŋ no kaŋ ga zamba te, ka ngey boŋ ciya Almasihu diyayaŋ.
14And [it is] not wonderful, for Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
14 Woodin binde, manti dambara hari no, zama Saytan* bumbo ga nga boŋ ciya annura malayka* cine.
15It is no great thing therefore if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
15 Yaadin gaa manti hay fo no d'a goy-teerey mo ga ngey boŋ ciya adilitaray waazukoyaŋ. I alwaati bananta ra i ga du ngey goyey banando.
16Again I say, Let not any one think me to be a fool; but if otherwise, receive me then even as a fool, that *I* also may boast myself some little.
16 Ay ga ne koyne: boro kulu ma si miila hal ay ya saamo no, amma d'araŋ ga miila ay wo yaadin no, kulu w'ay ta danga saamo, hal ay mo ma fooma kayna.
17What I speak I do not speak according to [the] Lord, but as in folly, in this confidence of boasting.
17 Haŋ kaŋ ay ga ba ka ne, ay si g'a ci danga Rabbi do no a fun, amma danga saamotaray ra, danga boŋzaaray haro kaŋ ra ay ga hin ka fooma.
18Since many boast according to flesh, *I* also will boast.
18 Za kaŋ boro boobo go ga fooma nda ndunnya lasaabey, ay mo ga fooma nda woodin yaŋ.
19For ye bear fools readily, being wise.
19 Zama araŋ kaŋ ga ti laakalkooney, araŋ go ga suuru nda borey kaŋ si caram da bine folloŋ.
20For ye bear if any one bring you into bondage, if any one devour [you], if any one get [your money], if any one exalt himself, if any one beat you on the face.
20 Da boro fo ga konda araŋ tamtaray ra, da boro fo g'araŋ ŋwa, da boro fo g'araŋ di, da boro fo ga nga boŋ beerandi, da boro fo g'araŋ moyduma saŋ -- kulu nda yaadin araŋ ga suuru nda bora!
21I speak as to dishonour, as though *we* had been weak; but wherein any one is daring, (I speak in folly,) *I* also am daring.
21 Haawi g'ay di ay ma ci kaŋ iri wo cabe danga iri ya londibuunoyaŋ no. Amma da boro fo ga yadda ka fooma nda hay fo (ay go ga salaŋ sanda saamo cine) ay mo ga fooma nd'a.
22Are they Hebrews? *I* also. Are they Israelites? *I* also. Are they seed of Abraham? *I* also.
22 Ngey wo Ibraniyanceyaŋ no? To, ay mo yaadin no. Ngey wo Israyla boroyaŋ no? Ay mo yaadin no. Ngey wo Ibrahim bandayaŋ no? Ay mo yaadin no.
23Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as being beside myself) *I* above measure [so]; in labours exceedingly abundant, in stripes to excess, in prisons exceedingly abundant, in deaths oft.
23 Ngey wo Almasihu goy-teeriyaŋ no? (ay go ga salaŋ sanda saamo cine), sanku fa binde ay! Taabi goy boobo ra ay ga bis'ey, da sorro boobo kasu ra koyyaŋ, da karyaŋ boobo ra, da sorro boobo bu-jase gaa tooyaŋ ra mo.
24From the Jews five times have I received forty [stripes], save one.
24 Sorro gu Yahudancey* n'ay barzu hala barzu me waytaaci afo si.
25Thrice have I been scourged, once I have been stoned, three times I have suffered shipwreck, a night and day I passed in the deep:
25 Sorro hinza i n'ay kar da goobu. Sorro fo i n'ay catu nda tondiyaŋ. Sorro hinza hi mun d'ay. Cin fo da zaari fo ay go teeku boŋ ga dandi.
26in journeyings often, in perils of rivers, in perils of robbers, in perils from [my own] race, in perils from [the] nations, in perils in [the] city, in perils in [the] desert, in perils on [the] sea, in perils among false brethren;
26 Ay go diraw ra sorro marge, ay go isa saaru ra, da zayey saaru, d'ay dumi saaru, da dumi* cindey saaru, da kwaara ra saaru, da saajo ra saaru, da teeku saaru, da nya-ize tangarikomey saaru ra.
27in labour and toil, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
27 Ay go goy da taabi ra, da hanna ka mo ganji jirbi yaŋ sorro boobo, da haray, da jaw, da mehawyaŋ sorro boobo, da hargu nda bankaaray banji.
28Besides those things that are without, the crowd [of cares] pressing on me daily, the burden of all the assemblies.
28 Kaŋ waana woodin yaŋ, hay fo go no kaŋ go g'ay kankam zaari kulu: Almasihu margey kulu sakulla no.
29Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is stumbled, and I burn not?
29 May no ka jaŋ gaabi kaŋ ay mo mana jaŋ? May no i ga daŋ a ma taali te, kaŋ ay bina mana sara?
30If it is needful to boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.
30 D'a tilas ay ma fooma, kal ay ma fooma nda hayey kaŋ ga ti ay gaabi-jaŋa waney.
31The God and Father of the Lord Jesus knows -- he who is blessed for ever -- that I do not lie.
31 Rabbi Yesu Irikoyo, kaŋ ga ti a Baabo mo, nga kaŋ ga ti hal abada albarkakoyo, a ga bay ay si ga taari!
32In Damascus the ethnarch of Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes shut up, wishing to take me;
32 Damaskos dabarikoono kaŋ ga ti Bonkooni Aretas koy fo, a na Damaskos kwaara batu hal nga m'ay di.
33and through a window in a basket I was let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.
33 Kala birno finetar fo ra no i n'ay zumandi cilla ra, hal ay du ka yana a kambe ra.
