Ephesians

4

1*I*, the prisoner in [the] Lord, exhort you therefore to walk worthy of the calling wherewith ye have been called,
1 Ay mo, kaŋ ga ti kas'ize Rabbi se, ay g'araŋ yaamar araŋ ma diraw te kaŋ ga saba nda ceeyaŋo kaŋ i n'araŋ ce d'a.
2with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love;
3using diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace.
3 Araŋ ma kookari ka goro afolloŋ bine ra, goray folloŋ ra kaŋ Biya _Hanno|_ goono ga no, laakal kanay ra kaŋ g'araŋ haw care gaa.
4[There is] one body and one Spirit, as ye have been also called in one hope of your calling;
4 Gaaham folloŋ go no, da Biya folloŋ, mate kaŋ cine, waato kaŋ Irikoy n'araŋ ce, a n'araŋ ce beeje folloŋ ra.
5one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
5 Rabbi folloŋ no go no, da cimi fondo folloŋ, da baptisma folloŋ mo.
6one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.
6 Irikoy folloŋ no go no kaŋ ga ti ikulu Baabo, kaŋ go ikulu boŋ, a go ikulu game ra, a go ikulu ra mo.
7But to each one of us has been given grace according to the measure of the gift of the Christ.
7 Amma iri kulu se i na gomni no Almasihu nooyaŋ neesijo boŋ.
8Wherefore he says, Having ascended up on high, he has led captivity captive, and has given gifts to men.
9But that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth?
9 Sanno din kaŋ ne: «a ziji beene,» -- ifo no a ga ne? A ga ne a jin ka zumbu ganda nangu guusey ra.
10He that descended is the same who has also ascended up above all the heavens, that he might fill all things;
11and *he* has given some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers,
11 A no afooyaŋ se i ma ciya diyayaŋ*, afooyaŋ mo annabiyaŋ*, afooyaŋ mo Baaru Hanno waazukoyaŋ, afooyaŋ mo kurukoyaŋ kaŋ ga dondonandi.
12for the perfecting of the saints; with a view to [the] work of [the] ministry, with a view to the edifying of the body of Christ;
13until we all arrive at the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, at [the] full-grown man, at [the] measure of the stature of the fulness of the Christ;
13 A ga ba iri kulu ma du ka ciya afolloŋ cimi fonda ra da Irikoy Izo bayray ra mo, hal iri ma koy to albeeri toonanteyaŋ, ka to Almasihu alhaalo toonandiyaŋ deedando gaa.
14in order that we may be no longer babes, tossed and carried about by every wind of *that* teaching [which is] in the sleight of men, in unprincipled cunning with a view to systematized error;
14 Yaadin gaa no iri si bara zankayaŋ koyne, hala dondonandiyaŋ waani fo m'iri sambu ka kond'iri ne-haray da ya-haray danga teeku bondayyaŋ cine. A ma kond'iri mo danga mate kaŋ cine haw kaŋ ga faaru ga te. Dondonandiyaŋo wo si fun kala borey kaŋ ga waani carmay da halliyaŋ do.
15but, holding the truth in love, we may grow up to him in all things, who is the head, the Christ:
15 Amma baakasinay ra cimi sanno ciyaŋ se no, iri ga beeri hay kulu ra Almasihu ra, nga kaŋ ga ti boŋo.
16from whom the whole body, fitted together, and connected by every joint of supply, according to [the] working in [its] measure of each one part, works for itself the increase of the body to its self-building up in love.
16 A do no gaahamo kulu ga margu care gaa ka haw care gaa dabey kulu do, kaŋ yaŋ go soolante ngey goyo sabbay se. Yaadin no, hala dabey kulu ga ngey goyey te, gaahamo kulu ga beeri ka nga boŋ cina baakasinay ra.
17This I say therefore, and testify in [the] Lord, that ye should no longer walk as [the rest of] the nations walk in [the] vanity of their mind,
17 Woodin se no ay goono ga woone ci, ay goono ga seeda mo Rabbi ra: araŋ ma si ye ka dira sanda mate kaŋ dumi* cindey ga dira ngey miila yaamey ra.
18being darkened in understanding, estranged from the life of God by reason of the ignorance which is in them, by reason of the hardness of their hearts,
18 I laakaley go kubay ra. I sinda baa mo fundo kaŋ Irikoy ga no ra, saamotara kaŋ go i ra din sabbay se, d'i bine sandandiyaŋo mo sabbay se.
19who having cast off all feeling, have given themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greedy unsatisfied lust.
20But *ye* have not thus learnt the Christ,
20 Amma manti yaadin no araŋ na Almasihu dondon d'a.
21if ye have heard him and been instructed in him according as [the] truth is in Jesus;
21 Daahir no araŋ maa a se, borey mo n'araŋ dondonandi, mate kaŋ cimi go Yesu ra.
22[namely] your having put off according to the former conversation the old man which corrupts itself according to the deceitful lusts;
22 I n'araŋ dondonandi araŋ ma doŋ goray zeena kaa araŋ biney ra, sanda boro* zeena nooya. Boro zeena din goono ga halaci nga ibaay laaley kaŋ ga fafagu do.
23and being renewed in the spirit of your mind;
23 Araŋ bine miiley ma ciya itajiyaŋ.
24and [your] having put on the new man, which according to God is created in truthful righteousness and holiness.
24 Araŋ ma boro* tajo mo faka kaŋ Irikoy taka nga alhaalo boŋ. A n'a taka adilitaray da hananyaŋ kaŋ cimi ganayaŋ ga no ra.
25Wherefore, having put off falsehood, speak truth every one with his neighbour, because we are members one of another.
Zama iri kulu gaaham folloŋ no, iri ya care gaaham jareyaŋ mo no.
26Be angry, and do not sin; let not the sun set upon your wrath,
27neither give room for the devil.
28Let the stealer steal no more, but rather let him toil, working what is honest with [his] hands, that he may have to distribute to him that has need.
28 Boro kaŋ ga zay doŋ ma si ye ka zay koyne. Amma a ma goy da nga kambey zama a ma nga boŋ laami bana nd'a, hal a ma du ka boro kaŋ sinda mo no.
29Let no corrupt word go out of your mouth, but if [there be] any good one for needful edification, that it may give grace to those that hear [it].
29 Sanni ziibo ma si fun araŋ meyey ra, kala day sanni kaŋ ga boori, kaŋ ga boro gaabandi, mate kaŋ cine bora ga laami nd'a, zama a ma gomni no borey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga maa se.
30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which ye have been sealed for [the] day of redemption.
31Let all bitterness, and heat of passion, and wrath, and clamour, and injurious language, be removed from you, with all malice;
31 Wa bine fortay, da futay, da bine tunay, da kosongu, da alaasiray kaa araŋ game ra, ngey nda laala kulu dumi.
32and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.
