1Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children,
1 Wa Irikoy dondon danga a izeyaŋ kaŋ a ga ba.
2and walk in love, even as the Christ loved us, and delivered himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.
2 Wa dira baakasinay ra mo, mate kaŋ cine Almasihu ba iri, a na nga boŋ no mo ka bu iri se. A ciya salleyaŋ hari nda sargay* kaŋ gonda haw kaano Irikoy se.
3But fornication and all uncleanness or unbridled lust, let it not be even named among you, as it becomes saints;
3 Amma zina, wala ziibi kulu, wala biniyay, i ma si baa i ciine te araŋ game ra, zama yaadin no a ga hagu nd'a hanantey se.
4and filthiness and foolish talking, or jesting, which are not convenient; but rather thanksgiving.
4 Wa si sanni ziibey salaŋ, wala sanney kaŋ sinda nafa, wala me ziibey kaŋ mana hima nd'a. Amma wo kaŋ ga bis'a ga ti saabuyaŋ.
5For this ye are [well] informed of, knowing that no fornicator, or unclean person, or person of unbridled lust, who is an idolater, has inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
5 Zama woone araŋ bay daahir: zina-teeri kulu, wala boro laalo, wala boro kaŋ ga bini (zama biniyay ya tooru ganayaŋ dumi fo no), borey din kulu sinda tubu Almasihu nda Irikoy koytara ra.
6Let no one deceive you with vain words, for on account of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
6 Araŋ ma si ta boro kulu m'araŋ fafagu nda sanni yaamo, zama woodin yaŋ sabbay se no Irikoy bine ga tun borey kaŋ s'a gana se.
7Be not ye therefore fellow-partakers with them;
7 Araŋ binde, ma si margu nd'ey,
8for ye were once darkness, but now light in [the] Lord; walk as children of light,
8 zama waato araŋ ya kubay no, amma sohõ araŋ ya annura no Rabbi ra. Wa dira danga annura izeyaŋ.
9(for the fruit of the light [is] in all goodness and righteousness and truth,)
9 Zama annura albarka ga ti ihanno teeyaŋ kulu da adilitaray da cimi.
10proving what is agreeable to the Lord;
11and do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather also reprove [them],
11 Koyne, Wa si margu nda kubay goyey kaŋ sinda nafa, amma a ga hima araŋ ma kand'ey annura do k'i bangandi.
12for the things that are done by them in secret it is shameful even to say.
12 Zama haawi hari no boro ma baa salaŋ da haŋ kaŋ i goono ga te tuguyaŋ ra.
13But all things having their true character exposed by the light are made manifest; for that which makes everything manifest is light.
13 Amma hay kulu kaŋ i ga kande annura do, annura g'a bangandi. Hay kulu kaŋ bangay mo annura no.
14Wherefore he says, Wake up, [thou] that sleepest, and arise up from among the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.
14 Woodin se no a ne: «Ma tun, nin kaŋ goono ga jirbi, ka fun buukoy game ra, Almasihu mo ga kaari ni gaa.»
15See therefore how ye walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise,
15 Wa haggoy bo, da mate kaŋ araŋ goono ga dira nd'a, manti danga borey kaŋ sinda laakal, amma danga laakalkooniyaŋ.
16redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17For this reason be not foolish, but understanding what [is] the will of the Lord.
18And be not drunk with wine, in which is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit,
19speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and chanting with your heart to the Lord;
20giving thanks at all times for all things to him [who is] God and [the] Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
20 Araŋ ma Baaba Irikoy saabu hay kulu se waati kulu, iri Rabbo Yesu Almasihu maa ra.
21submitting yourselves to one another in [the] fear of Christ.
22Wives, [submit yourselves] to your own husbands, as to the Lord,
23for a husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ [is] head of the assembly. *He* [is] Saviour of the body.
23 Zama kurnye ga wande may mate kaŋ cine Almasihu ga nga marga may. Nga bumbo mo no ga ti gaahamo faabakwa. Gaahamo din no ga ti Almasihu marga.
24But even as the assembly is subjected to the Christ, so also wives to their own husbands in everything.
24 Yaadin no wande ma nga boŋ ye ganda nga kurnye se hay kulu ra, sanda mate kaŋ cine Almasihu marga ga te Almasihu se.
25Husbands, love your own wives, even as the Christ also loved the assembly, and has delivered himself up for it,
25 Kurnyey, araŋ ma ba araŋ wandey, mate kaŋ cine Almasihu ba nga marga ka nga boŋ no ka bu a se mo.
26in order that he might sanctify it, purifying [it] by the washing of water by [the] word,
26 A na nga boŋ no zama a ma nga marga fay waani Irikoy se, waati kaŋ a n'a hanandi da nyumayaŋ hari Sanno do.
27that *he* might present the assembly to himself glorious, having no spot, or wrinkle, or any of such things; but that it might be holy and blameless.
27 A na woodin te mo zama a ma nga marga salle nga boŋ se, marga darzante kaŋ sinda tombi kulu, wala suuguyaŋ wala hayey din kulu dumi, hal a ma ciya marga hanante kaŋ sinda taali.
28So ought men also to love their own wives as their own bodies: he that loves his own wife loves himself.
28 Yaadin mo no a ga hima kurnyey ma ba ngey wandey danga ngey gaahamey cine. Boro kaŋ ga ba nga wando, a ga ba nga boŋ no.
29For no one has ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as also the Christ the assembly:
29 Zama boro kulu si no kaŋ si ba nga gaahamo, zama a g'a ŋwaayandi ka haggoy d'a mate kaŋ cine Almasihu goono ga te nga marga se,
30for we are members of his body; [we are of his flesh, and of his bones.]
30 zama iri wo a gaahamo jareyaŋ no.
31Because of this a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be united to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.
32This mystery is great, but *I* speak as to Christ, and as to the assembly.
32 Gundo wo ga beeri, amma Almasihu nda nga marga ciine no ay goono ga te.
33But *ye* also, every one of you, let each so love his own wife as himself; but as to the wife [I speak] that she may fear the husband.
33 Woodin banda araŋ mo, araŋ boro fo kulu ma ba nga wando danga mate kaŋ cine a ga ba nga boŋ. Wando mo ma nga kurnyo gaakuro guna.
