1Children, obey your parents in [the] Lord, for this is just.
1 Zankey, araŋ m'araŋ hayrey gana Rabbi ra zama woodin no ga saba.
2Honour thy father and thy mother, which is the first commandment with a promise,
2 «Ni ma ni baaba nda ni nya beerandi.» Woodin no ga ti lordi sintina kaŋ gonda alkawli nga banda.
3that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest be long-lived on the earth.
3 Alkawlo din neeya: «Ni ga goro nda baani, ni aloomaro ga ku mo ndunnya ra.»
4And [ye] fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in [the] discipline and admonition of [the] Lord.
5Bondmen, obey masters according to flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of your heart as to the Christ;
5 Bannyey, araŋ m'araŋ ndunnya wo koyey gana nda humburkumay da jijiriyaŋ bine folloŋ ra, danga mate kaŋ araŋ ga may Almasihu se.
6not with eye-service as men-pleasers; but as bondmen of Christ, doing the will of God from [the] soul,
7serving with good will as to the Lord, and not to men;
7 Araŋ ma may i se da bine yaddayaŋ, danga Rabbi se no, manti danga borey se.
8knowing that whatever good each shall do, this he shall receive of [the] Lord, whether bond or free.
8 Araŋ ga bay mo, hari hanno kulu kaŋ boro ga te, Rabbi ga woodin yeti bora se, da bannya no wala burcini no.
9And, masters, do the same things towards them, giving up threatening, knowing that both their and your Master is in heaven, and there is no acceptance of persons with him.
Wa fay da deeniyaŋ, zama araŋ ga bay kaŋ araŋ kulu koyo go beena ra. Baar'a-baar'a si a do mo.
10For the rest, brethren, be strong in [the] Lord, and in the might of his strength.
10 Woodin banda, araŋ ma te gaabi Rabbi do d'a dabari gaabikoono ra mo.
11Put on the panoply of God, that ye may be able to stand against the artifices of the devil:
11 Wa araŋ wongu bankaarayey daŋ, wa araŋ wongu jinayey koto. Irikoy n'i no araŋ se zama araŋ ma du ka kay ka gaaba nda Iblisi carma.
12because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual [power] of wickedness in the heavenlies.
12 Zama iri siino ga gurjay da Adam-izey bo, amma iri goono ga gurjay da koyey, da hinkoyey, da zamana wo kubay ra maykoy, da beena ra ganji laaley margey.
13For this reason take [to you] the panoply of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having accomplished all things, to stand.
13 Woodin sabbay se binde, araŋ ma wongu jinayey kulu sambu kaŋ Irikoy n'araŋ no, zama araŋ ma du ka kay zaari laaley ra. Koyne, d'a kulu ban banda, araŋ ga kay.
14Stand therefore, having girt about your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15and shod your feet with [the] preparation of the glad tidings of peace:
15 Baaru Hanna ga laakal kanay daŋ _boro nda Irikoy game ra|_. Wa Baaru Hanna waazuyaŋ soola haw araŋ cey gaa danga taamu cine.
16besides all [these], having taken the shield of faith with which ye will be able to quench all the inflamed darts of the wicked one.
Kora din no araŋ ga hin ka hangaw danjikoy kulu kosaray d'a kaŋ Ilaala ga hay.
17Have also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word;
Wa sambu mo Irikoy Sanno kaŋ ga ti takuba kaŋ Biya _Hanno|_ n'araŋ no.
18praying at all seasons, with all prayer and supplication in [the] Spirit, and watching unto this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;
19and for me in order that utterance may be given to me in [the] opening of my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the glad tidings,
20for which I am an ambassador [bound] with a chain, that I may be bold in it as I ought to speak.
20 Zama ay ma seeda te mo da bine-gaabi mate kaŋ a ga hima ay ma te. Zama Baaru Hanna sabbay se ay ya wakiilu no kaŋ go hawante kasu ra.
21But in order that *ye* also may know what concerns me, how I am getting on, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in [the] Lord, shall make all things known to you;
21 Iri nya-izo Ticikos, kaŋ iri ga ba, saajawko naanaykoy mo no Rabbi goyo ra, a g'araŋ bayrandi d'ay baaru kulu, zama araŋ m'ay goray baaro bay, da haŋ kaŋ ay goono ga te.
22whom I have sent to you for this very thing, that ye may know of our affairs and that he may encourage your hearts.
22 Woodin sabbay se no ay n'a donton araŋ do, zama araŋ m'iri gora bay, nga mo m'araŋ biney yeenandi.
23Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God [the] Father and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
23 Laakal kanay ma bara nya-izey gaa, nga nda baakasinay mo cimbeeri* banda, kaŋ ga fun Baaba Irikoy da Rabbi Yesu Almasihu do.
24Grace with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption.
