¹Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], on the fifth of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

²On the fifth of the month, (it was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,)

² (Hando jirbi guwanta hane, sanda Bonkoono Yehoyacim tamtara jiiri guwanta ra nooya,

³the word of Jehovah came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of Jehovah was there upon him.

⁴And I looked, and behold, a stormy wind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the look of glowing brass, out of the midst of the fire.

⁴ Ay guna mo, kal a go, ay di beene hirriyaŋ haw go, a tun, a go ga fun azawa kambe ga kaa. Buru bambata no, da danji kaŋ ga nyalaw a banda, da kaari mo kaŋ go g'a windi. A bindo ra mo danga doniji no, kaŋ go no danjo bindi ra.

⁵Also out of the midst thereof, the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man.

⁵ A bindo ra binde fundikooni taaci himandiyaŋ bangay. I himandey neeya: i gonda boro himandi.

⁶And every one had four faces, and every one of them had four wings.

⁶ I afo kulu gonda moyduma taaci, i afo kulu mo gonda fata taaci.

⁷And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled as the look of burnished brass.

⁷ I cey mo kayanteyaŋ no, i ce taamey ga hima sanda handayze wane cine, i ga nyaale sanda guuru-say ziirante cine.

⁸And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings:

⁸ I kambey, boro wane yaŋ no i fatey cire i kambu taaca kulu gaa. I boro taaca din binde, mate kaŋ i fatey d'i moydumey bara, nga neeya:

⁹their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

⁹ i fatey go ga tuku care gaa, i ga dira mo sallante, i dirawo ra mo i si bare.

¹⁰And the likeness of their faces was the face of a man; and they four had the face of a lion on the right side; and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four had also the face of an eagle.

¹⁰ I moydumey sanni mo, i gonda boro moyduma. I boro taaca mo gonda muusu beeri moyduma kambe ŋwaari gaa haray, i boro taaca gonda haw yaaru moyduma kambe wow kambo haray, i boro taaca gonda zeeban moyduma.

¹¹And their faces and their wings were parted above; two [wings] of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

¹¹ Yaadin cine no i moydumey. I fatey mo go sallante beene, afo kulu gonda nga fata hinka kaŋ ga tuku afa wano gaa. Ihinka mo i ga ngey gaahamey daabu nd'ey.

¹²And they went every one straight forward: whither the Spirit was to go, they went; they turned not when they went.

¹² I afo kulu mo ga koy jine soosay. Nango kaŋ Biya miila, noodin no i ga koy. Mate kaŋ cine i goono ga dira mo, kulu i si bare.

¹³And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, as the appearance of torches: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright; and out of the fire went forth lightning.

¹³ Fundikooney din game ra sanni binde, a ga hima sanda danj'ize kaŋ go ga di, sanda yulbe deedandi mo. Danjo ga koy-da-ye te fundikooney din bindo ra. A ga kaari mo, a ra mo maliyaŋ go ga fatta.

¹⁴And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

¹⁴ Fundikooney din mo, i koy-da-yeyaŋo ga hima sanda maliyaŋ kaari.

¹⁵And I looked at the living creatures, and behold, one wheel upon the earth beside the living creatures, toward their four faces.

¹⁵ I go no yaadin, ay go fundikooney din gunayaŋ gaa, kala kanjeyaŋ kaŋ ga windi go fundikooni taaca din jarga ganda, afo i boro taaca din kulu se.

¹⁶The appearance of the wheels and their work was as the look of a chrysolite; and they four had one likeness; and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

¹⁶ Kanjey din da ngey danay misey ga hima sanda hiiri kaŋ ga nyaale. I boro taaca kulu deedandi folloŋ no. I misa d'i dana, danga kanje kaŋ go kanja ra.

¹⁷When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not when they went.

¹⁷ Waati kulu kaŋ i ga koy, i kanjey ga gana kuray fo, i si bare alwaati kaŋ i goono ga dira.

¹⁸As for their rims, they were high and dreadful; and they four had their rims full of eyes round about.

¹⁸ I zantey misa mo, ikuukuyaŋ no, i ga boro humburandi mo. I boro taaca din binde gonda ngey zantey kaŋ ga to da moyaŋ g'i windi.

¹⁹And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

¹⁹ Waati kaŋ fundikooney din ga koy, kanjey mo ga koy i banda. Waati kaŋ fundikooney din ga ziji beene, kanjey mo ga ziji beene.

²⁰Whithersoever the Spirit was to go, they went, thither would [their] spirit go; and the wheels were lifted up along with them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

²⁰ Nangu kulu kaŋ Biya ga miila, noodin no i ga koy. Kanjey mo ga koy i banda, zama fundikooney biya go kanjey din ra.

²¹When those went, they went; and when those stood, they stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up along with them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

²¹ Da yongo waney koy, woone yaŋ mo ga koy, wala da yongo waney kay, woone yaŋ mo ga kay no. Da yongo waney ziji beene, kanjey mo ga ziji i banda no, zama fundikooney biya go kanjey din ra.

²²And there was the likeness of an expanse over the heads of the living creature, as the look of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

²² Fundikooney din boŋ do daba himandi go no, danga diji kaŋ a nyalawyaŋo ga dambarandi, kaŋ go ga salle i boŋey boŋ.

²³And under the expanse were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two which covered on this side, and every one had two which covered on that side their bodies.

²³ Batama cire mo i fatey go ga salle no, afo fata ga tuku afo wane gaa. Afo kulu gonda fata hinka kaŋ g'a daabu kambu woone gaa, da ya-haray kambo gaa.

²⁴And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, a tumultuous noise, as the noise of a host: when they stood, they let down their wings;

²⁴ Waati kaŋ i ga dira, ay maa i fatey yooje danga hari zuru boobo kosongu, sanda Hina-Kulu-Koyo jinde cine. I yooja ga hima sanda wongu marga yooje cine. Waati kaŋ i ga kay mo i ga ngey fatey kunkuni.

²⁵and there was a voice from above the expanse that was over their heads. When they stood, they let down their wings.

²⁵ Jinde fo mo go no kaŋ fun batama kaŋ go i boŋ do din ra. Waati kaŋ i kay, i na ngey fatey kunkuni.

²⁶And above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone; and upon the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

²⁶ Batama kaŋ go i boŋ do din boŋ koyne, noodin mo koytaray karga himandi go no. A deedando ga hima safir* tondi cine. Karga himando din boŋ mo gonda boro himandi alhaali kaŋ goono ga goro karga boŋ.

²⁷And I saw as the look of glowing brass, as the appearance of fire, within it round about; from the appearance of his loins and upward, and from the appearance of his loins and downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

²⁷ Ay di mo koyne sanda doniji, danga danji no a ra nangu kulu, za a canta deedandi gaa cine kal a ma koy beene. A canta gaa deedandi ka ye ganda mo, ay di danga danji himandi. A ga nyaale nangu kulu a windanta.

²⁸As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of Jehovah. And when I saw, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke.

²⁸ Sanda mate kaŋ cine i ga di sajeera kaŋ go buru ra beene hari kaŋyaŋ hane, yaadin cine no i ga di nyaaleyaŋo kaŋ go g'a windi. Woodin, Rabbi darza suura himandi no. Waato kaŋ ay di a, ay sumbal ay moyduma boŋ, ay maa boro fo jinde kaŋ goono ga salaŋ mo.
