Isaiah

17

1The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
1 Damaskos boŋ sanni neeya: «A go, Damaskos ga ba ka fay da nga gallutara ka ciya kurmu gusamyaŋ.
2The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks; and they shall lie down and there shall be none to make them afraid.
2 Arower kawyey ga ciya kurmu. I ga ciya alman kuru kuray do. Kurey ga kani noodin, Boro kulu mo si i humburandi.
3The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith Jehovah of hosts.
3 Ifraymu wongu fuwey ga ban, Mayray mo ga ban Damaskos da Suriya cindo ra. I ga ye ka ciya sanda Israyla izey darza cine.» Yaadin no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci.
4And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall become lean.
4 «A ga ciya mo han din hane Yakuba darza ga zabu. A naasuyaŋo mo ga faabu.
5And it shall be as when the reaper gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; yea, it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
5 A ga ciya mo, sanda mate kaŋ cine ntaasu wiiko ga fari albarka margu, A kambey mo ga ntaasu jeeney dumbu, Oho, a ga ciya sanda mate kaŋ cine boro ga ntaasu jeeniyaŋ koobu Refayim* gooro ra.
6And a gleaning shall be left in it, as at the shaking of an olive-tree: two, three berries above, in the tree-top; four, five in its fruitful boughs, saith Jehovah, the God of Israel.
6 Kulu nda yaadin koobuyaŋ hari ga cindi Damaskos ra, Sanda zeytun* tuuri-nya kokobeyaŋ cine. Ize hinka wala ihinza ga cindi hala beene kamba gaa, Tuuro kaŋ hay gumo mo, Ize taaci wala igu ga cindi a kambey casey gaa.» Yaadin no Rabbi Israyla Irikoyo ci.
7In that day shall man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have regard to the Holy One of Israel.
7 Han din hane binde boro ga nga Takakwa guna, A moy mo ga Israyla wane Hananyankoyo do haray guna.
8And he will not look to the altars, the work of his hands, nor have regard to what his fingers have made, neither the Asherahs nor the sun-images.
8 A si sargay feemey kaŋ ci a kambe goyey guna, Haya kaŋ a kambayzey te mo, a si ye k'a guna koyne, Baa wayboro himandi bundu toorey, Wala wayno himandi waney.
9In that day shall his strong cities be as the forsaken tract in the woodland, and the mountain-top which they forsook before the children of Israel; and there shall be desolation.
9 Zaaro din ra Israyla gallu birnikoyey ga ciya sanda hay fo kaŋ i furu tuuri zugay ra, da tuuri kambe kaŋ Israyla izey dira ka naŋ. Laabo mo ga ciya kurmu.
10For thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength; therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plantations, and shalt set them with foreign slips:
10 Zama ni dinya Irikoy kaŋ ti ni faaba, Ni na saalay kaa mo ni gaabi tondo gaa. Woodin se no ni goono ga tilamyaŋ te ni ibaay boŋ, Ni goono ga tikse waani yaŋ sinji.
11in the day of thy planting wilt thou make [them] to grow, and on the morrow wilt thou make thy seed to flourish; [but] the harvest will flee in the day of taking possession, and the sorrow will be incurable.
11 Zaaro din kaŋ ra ni n'a tilam mo, ni g'a kali, Susubay ni ga daŋ ni dumi izo ma te boosi. Amma han kaŋ hane ni ga kalo wi, a ga te gusam, Bine saray da doori kaŋ sinda safari wane no.
12Ha! a tumult of many peoples! they make a noise as the noise of the seas; -- and the rushing of nations! they rush as the rushing of mighty waters.
12 Wass! Ndunnya dumi boobo kosongo neeya! I goono ga kosongu sanda teekoy dunduyaŋ. Wayyo! Ndunnya dumey dunduyaŋ neeya! I goono ga dundu sanda hari beerey wane cine.
13The nations rush as the rushing of many waters; but he will rebuke them, and they shall flee far away, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a whirling [of dust] before the whirlwind:
13 Ndunnya dumey ga dundu sanda hari boobo dunduyaŋ cine, Amma Rabbi ga deeni i gaa. I ga zuru ka mooru mo, Sanda mate kaŋ cine tondi beeri ra haw ga du gaaray d'a, Wala mo sanda tuuri kunkunante kaŋ go hari haw bambata jine.
14behold, at eventide, trouble; before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
14 Wiciri kambu haray humburkumay beeri go no, Hala mo ga bo, boro kulu si no. Borey kaŋ yaŋ goono g'iri kom baa nooya, Borey kaŋ yaŋ goono g'iri ku mo baa nooya.
