18

1Ha! land shadowing with wings, which art beyond the rivers of Cush,
1 Kaari, ya laabo kaŋ gonda fatayaŋ kaŋ ga yooje, Nin kaŋ go Etiyopi isey banda!
2that sendest ambassadors over the sea, and in vessels of papyrus upon the waters, [saying,] Go, swift messengers, to a nation scattered and ravaged, to a people terrible from their existence and thenceforth; to a nation of continued waiting and of treading down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
2 Ni ga ni diyey donton teeku fondey ra, I ga koy karra hiyey ra harey boŋ, ka ne: «Ya araŋ, diyey kaŋ ga waasu diraw gaa, Wa koy ndunnya dumi fo do kaŋ borey ga ku, Kaŋ kuurey ga yuttu mo. Wa koy dumi waani fo do kaŋ ga humburandi, Za nangu maaney hala nangu moorey, Ndunnya dumi gaabikooni no kaŋ ga taamu-taamu, Kaŋ isey ga gana ka bisa a laabo ra.»
3All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, when a banner is lifted up on the mountains, see ye, and when a trumpet is blown, hear ye!
3 Ya araŋ, ndunnya gorokoy kulu, Sanda araŋ kaŋ yaŋ goono ga goro laabey ra: D'i na liiliwalo tunandi beene tondi kuukey boŋ, Kulu araŋ ga di a. D'i na hilli kar mo, kulu araŋ ga maa r'a.
4For thus hath Jehovah said unto me: I will take my rest, and I will observe from my dwelling-place like clear heat upon herbs, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
4 Zama yaa no Rabbi ci ay se: «Ay ga goro ay laakal gaa, Ay ga guna mo za nango kaŋ ay go, Sanda korni kaŋ ra sinda buuda wayno kaari ra, Wala mo sanda harandaŋ buuda cine heemar waate korni ra.»
5For before the harvest, when the blossoming is over, and the flower becometh a ripening grape, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning-knives, and take away [and] cut down the branches.
5 Zama za heemar waate mana kaa, Waati kaŋ tuuri boosi baan, Booso mo ga ciya reyzin kaŋ ga sintin ka nin, Kala Rabbi ma kambe kayney pati-pati nda koomayaŋ. Kambey kaŋ yaŋ go ga feeri mo, A m'i pati ka kaa.
6They shall be left together unto the mountain birds of prey, and to the beasts of the earth; and the birds of prey shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
6 Borey kulu, i g'i naŋ care banda saajo curayzey kaŋ yaŋ ga ham ŋwa se, da laabo ganji hamey mo se. Curayzey kaŋ yaŋ ga ham ŋwa ga kaydiya te i gaa, Laabo ganji hamey kulu mo ga jaw waate te i gaa.
7In that time shall a present be brought unto Jehovah of hosts of a people scattered and ravaged, -- and from a people terrible from their existence and thenceforth, a nation of continued waiting and of treading down, whose land the rivers have spoiled, ... to the place of the name of Jehovah of hosts, the mount Zion.
7 Alwaati woodin ra no i ga kande Rabbi se nooyaŋ ka fun ndunnya dumi fo do kaŋ borey ga ku, Kaŋ kuurey ga yuttu mo. Dumi waani fo no kaŋ ga humburandi za nangu maaney hala nangu moorey, Ndunnya dumi gaabikooni no kaŋ ga taamu-taamu, Kaŋ isey ga gana ka bisa a laabo ra. I ga konda nooyaŋo din naŋ kaŋ Rabbi Kundeykoyo maa go, kaŋ ga ti Sihiyona tondo.
