Isaiah

20

1In the year that Tartan came to Ashdod, when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, (and he fought against Ashdod and took it,)
1 Jiiro kaŋ Assiriya wonkoyo kaa Asdod, saaya kaŋ Assiriya bonkoono Sargon n'a donton, a na Asdod wongu k'a ŋwa.
2at that time spoke Jehovah by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy sandal from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
2 Alwaati woodin ra no Rabbi salaŋ Isaya Amoz ize me ra ka ne: «Ma koy ka bufu zaara feeri ka kaa ni canta gaa, ma ni taamey mo foobu ka kaa ni cey gaa.» Nga mo te yaadin. A go ga dira kwaay si, taamu mo si.
3And Jehovah said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years, a sign and a wonder concerning Egypt and concerning Ethiopia,
3 Rabbi ye ka ne: «Sanda mate kaŋ cine ay tamo Isaya te, jiiri hinza a go ga bar-bare kwaay si, taamu mo si cey gaa, zama nga ma ciya alaama nda dambara hari Misira nda Etiyopi boŋ,
4so shall the king of Assyria lead away the captives of Egypt and the exiles of Ethiopia, young and old, naked and barefoot, and with buttocks uncovered, [to] the shame of Egypt.
4 yaadin cine no Assiriya bonkoono ga dira nda borey kaŋ yaŋ a di Misira ra, ngey nda Etiyopi waney kaŋ zuru. Arwasey da dottijo zeeney ga dira kwaay si, taamu si, hala nda i banda furay go taray, Misira haawi nooya.
5And they shall be terrified and ashamed of Ethiopia their confidence, and of Egypt their boast.
5 I ga sukurutu, haawi m'i di mo ngey deyaŋ haro Etiyopi d'i darza haro Misira sabbay se.
6And the inhabitants of this coast shall say in that day, Behold, such is our confidence, whither we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape?
6 Zaari woodin ra binde laabo din caso gorokoy ga ne: ‹Guna mate kaŋ cine iri deyaŋ haro bara nd'a, nango din kaŋ iri zuru ka koy ka gaakasinay ceeci, iri ma du ka faaba Assiriya bonkoono kambe ra se. To, iri binde, mate iri ga te ka yana?› »
