Isaiah

24

1Behold, Jehovah maketh the land empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad its inhabitants.
1 Guna, Rabbi ga laabo ciya koonu, A g'a te kurmu, a g'a bare ka gum, A g'a gorokoy mo say-say.
2And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with him from whom usury is taken.
2 A ga ciya mo, sanda mate kaŋ cine jama bara, Yaadin cine no alfaga* mo ga bara. Sanda mate kaŋ cine bannya go, Yaadin cine no a koyo mo ga bara. Sanda mate kaŋ cine koŋŋa go, Yaadin cine no fu-nya mo ga bara. Sanda mate kaŋ cine dayko go, Yaadin cine no neerako mo ga bara. Sanda mate kaŋ cine garaw danko go, Yaadin cine no garaw sambuko mo ga bara. Sanda mate kaŋ cine nooru nda hari nooko go, Yaadin cine no nooru nda hari taako mo ga bara.
3The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled; for Jehovah hath spoken this word.
3 Laabo kulu ga ciya koonu parkatak, Ibarey g'a kulu ku parkatak, Zama Rabbi no ka sanno din ci.
4The land mourneth, it fadeth away; the world languisheth, it fadeth away: the haughty people of the land do languish.
4 Laabo ga bu baray te, a ga lakaw. Ndunnya ga yangala ka lakaw, Ndunnya ra boŋbeeraykoyey ga yangala.
5And the land is polluted under the inhabitants thereof; for they have violated the laws, changed the statute, broken the everlasting covenant.
5 Ndunnya ziibi mo nga gorokoy sabbay se, Zama i go ga lordiyaŋ daaru, I go ga hin sanni kakaw, I go ga sappa kaŋ ga duumi tunandi mo.
6Therefore doth the curse devour the earth, and they that dwell therein are held guilty; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are consumed, and few men are left.
6 Woodin sabbay se no laaliyaŋ go ga laabo ŋwa. A ra gorokoy mo, i n'i gar taali-teeriyaŋ. Woodin sabbay se no laabo gorokoy ton, Manti boro boobo no ka cindi a ra.
7The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all that were merry-hearted do sigh;
7 Reyzin hari ga ba ka ban, Reyzin tikse go ga yangala, Bine kaani koyey kulu go ga bine jisi.
8the mirth of tambours ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.
8 Haray kar ka fooru yaŋ kulu ban, Farhã teekoy kosongo ban, moolo beeri farhã mo ban.
9They do not drink wine with a song; strong drink is bitter to them that drink it.
9 Borey si duvan haŋ ka doon koyne, Baji mo ga fortu nga hankoy se.
10The city of solitude is broken down; every house is shut up, so that none entereth in.
10 Gallo kurmo bagu ka kaŋ. Windi kulu go daabante, Hala boro kulu si du ka furo.
11There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone;
11 Borey goono ga kaati fondey ra duvan sabbay se, Farhã kulu te kubay, Laabo ra foori nda haari kulu dira.
12desolation remaineth in the city, and the gate is smitten, -- a ruin.
12 Gallo ra, kala kurmu kaŋ cindi, I na birni meyo kar ka bagu-bagu.
13For so will it be in the midst of the land among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive-tree, as the grape-gleanings when the vintage is done.
13 Zama mate kaŋ cine a ga ciya laabo bindi ra da jama fooyaŋ game ra, nga neeya: I ga hima zeytun* nya kokobeyaŋ, Wala reyzin ize koobuyaŋ kali wiyaŋ banda.
14These shall lift up their voice, they shall shout for the majesty of Jehovah, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
14 Borey ga jinde sambu ka farhã dooni te, Rabbi koytaray darza sabbay se no i ga jinde sambu ka kuuwa za wayna kaŋay haray.
15Therefore glorify Jehovah in the east, the name of Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the isles of the west.
15 Ya wayna funay haray borey, wa Rabbi beerandi fa! Ya teeko meyey kulu gaa borey, Wa Rabbi Israyla Irikoyo maa beerandi.
16From the end of the earth have we heard songs: Glory to the righteous! And I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! The treacherous have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.
16 Iri maa dooniyaŋ kaŋ yaŋ fun za ndunnya me, ka ne: «Adilitaraykoyo beeri!» Amma ay wo ne: «Ay halaci! Ay halaci! Kaari ay! Amaana ŋwaakoy goono ga amaana ŋwaari te. Oho, amaana ŋwaakoy goono ga amaana ŋwaari te gumo.»
17Fear, and the pit, and the snare are upon thee, inhabitant of the land.
17 Ya nin ndunnya ra goroko, joote da guusu hirrimi da korfo hirrimi ga ba ka ni di.
18And it shall come to pass, [that] he who fleeth from the sound of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare; for the windows on high are open, and the foundations of the earth shake.
18 A ga ciya mo, boro kaŋ zuru humburkumay yooja se ga kaŋ guusu hirrimo ra. Bora kaŋ fun guusu hirrimo bindi ra mo, Korfo hirrimo g'a di. Zama beene daabirjey fiti, Ndunnya tiksey mo goono ga jijiri.
19The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is completely dissolved, the earth is violently moved.
19 Ndunnya go ga ceeri parkatak, Ndunnya go ga kortu parkatak, Ndunnya go ga teeni gumo nda cimi!
20The earth reeleth to and fro like a drunkard, and is shaken like a night hut; and its transgression is heavy upon it; and it falleth and shall not rise again.
20 Ndunnya go ga tatanji sanda boro kaŋ bugu cine, A go ga zinji-zinji sanda tanda cine. A zunubi alhakko ga tin a boŋ. A ga kaŋ, a si ye ka tun mo koyne.
21And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] Jehovah will punish the host of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
21 A ga ciya mo, han din hane, Rabbi ga ciiti beene kunda se beena ra, Ndunnya bonkooney mo, a g'i ciiti ganda.
22And they shall be brought together, [as] an assemblage of prisoners for the pit, and shall be shut up in prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
22 A g'i margu nangu folloŋ, Sanda mate kaŋ cine i ga kas'ize yaŋ margu kasu guusu folloŋ ra. A g'i daabu kasu fu ra, Jirbi boobo banda mo a g'i ciiti.
23And the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for Jehovah of hosts shall reign on mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients in glory.
23 Waato din gaa no hando alhaalo ga bare, Wayna mo, haawi g'a di. Zama Rabbi Kundeykoyo ga may Sihiyona tondo boŋ da Urusalima ra. A darza ga bangay arkusey kaŋ a daŋ yaŋ jine.
