Isaiah

23

1The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish! for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, none entering in. From the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.
1 Tir boŋ sanni neeya: Ya araŋ Tarsis hiyey, wa kaati! Zama i na Tir kwaara zeeri kala windi kulu mana cindi, Do-me mo si no. I fun da baaro din Kubrus laabu ka kand'a Tir se.
2Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle! The merchants of Sidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished thee.
2 Wa dangay, ya araŋ teeko me gaa gorokoy. Zidon fatawc'izey kaŋ yaŋ na teeko daŋandi. I na araŋ toonandi waato.
3And on great waters, the seed of Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue; and she was the market of the nations.
3 I ga teeku meyey gaa casu ka kande Sihor farey da Nil isa albarka a ma ciya Sidon riiba. Nga mo ciya dumi boobo se habu.
4Be thou ashamed, Sidon, for the sea hath spoken, the strength of the sea, saying, I have not travailed nor brought forth, neither have I nourished young men [nor] brought up virgins.
4 Ya Zidon, haawi ma ni di, Zama teeko go ga salaŋ, danga teeko ra wongu nangu nooya. A goono ga ne: «Ay wo, yana gunde jaraw taabi te, Yana hay, yana arwasuyaŋ biiri, Yana wandiyoyaŋ jare mo.»
5-- When the report came into Egypt, they were sorely pained at the news of Tyre.
5 Saaya kaŋ cine baaro ga kaa Misira, I ga jijiri Tir baaro sabbay se.
6Pass over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the coast!
6 Wa bisa ka koy Tarsis. Araŋ kaŋ goono ga goro teeko me gaa, Araŋ ma wurru.
7Is this your joyous [city], whose antiquity is of ancient days? Her feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn.
7 Araŋ gallo kaŋ gonda bine kaani, nga nooya, wala? Wo kaŋ a kaajo sintin za doŋ zamaney ra no. Nga no kaŋ a cey kond'a nangu mooro hal a ma ciya ce-yaw noodin, wala?
8Who hath purposed this against Tyre, the distributor of crowns, whose merchants were princes, whose dealers were the honourable of the earth?
8 May no ka Tir waadu nda woodin? Nga kaŋ ga koytarayyaŋ zaban, Nga kaŋ a fatawc'izey ya bonkooniyaŋ no. A day da neera teekoy mo ndunnya boro beeriyaŋ no.
9Jehovah of hosts hath purposed it, to profane the pride of all glory, to bring to nought all the honourable of the earth.
9 Rabbi Kundeykoyo no k'a waadu, Zama nga ma boŋbeeray darza kulu ziibandi, A ma donda-caray candi ka kande ndunnya beeraykoyey kulu boŋ.
10Overflow thy land like the Nile, daughter of Tarshish: there is no more restraint.
10 Ya Tarsis ize wayo, Ma gana ka bisa ni laabo ra sanda Nil isa cine. Kosaray hari kulu mana cindi ni se sohõ.
11He hath stretched out his hand over the sea, he shaketh the kingdoms. Jehovah hath given a commandment concerning Canaan, to destroy the strongholds thereof,
11 Rabbi na nga kamba salle teeko boŋ, A na koytarayyaŋ zinji. Rabbi na lordi te Kanaana boŋ ka ne a wongu fuwey ma halaci.
12and hath said, Thou shalt no more exult, [thou] oppressed virgin, daughter of Sidon: get thee up, pass over to Chittim; even there shalt thou have no rest.
12 A ne koyne: «Ya nin wandiya kaŋ di kankami gumo, Zidon ize wayo. Ni si ye ka farhã koyne. Ma tun ka daŋandi ka koy Kubrus. Baa noodin mo ni si du fulanzamay.»
13Behold the land of the Chaldeans: this people did not exist; the Assyrian founded it for the dwellers in the desert: they set up their towers, they destroyed the palaces thereof; he brought it to ruin.
13 Guna, Kaldancey laabo neeya, Waato ndunnya dumo din si no. Assiriyancey na Tir sinji a ma te do-me. Kaldancey mo na ngey wongu cinari kuukey sinji, I na Tir faadey kaa koonu k'a ciya kurmu.
14Howl, ships of Tarshish! for your fortress is laid waste.
14 Ya araŋ Tarsis hiyey, wa kaati! Zama araŋ wongu fuwo halaci!
15And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. At the end of seventy years it shall be for Tyre as the harlot's song.
15 A ga ciya mo, han din hane borey ga dinya Tir gaa kal a ma to jiiri wayye, kaŋ ga saba nda bonkooni folloŋ aloomar. Jiiri wayya din banda a ga ciya Tir se sanda mate kaŋ cine i ci kaaruwa doono ra, ka ne:
16Take a harp, go about the city, thou forgotten harlot! Make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
16 «Ya nin, kaaruwa kaŋ gaa borey dinya, Ma moolo sambu ka gallo bar-bare. Ma moola hamney kar da gonitaray, Ma dooni kaano boobo te zama i ma fongu ni gaa.»
17And it shall come to pass at the end of seventy years, that Jehovah will visit Tyre; and she will return to her hire, and will commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the earth upon the face of the ground.
17 A ga ciya mo jiiri wayya din banda Rabbi ga Tir kunfa. Kwaara ga ye mo nga waykuuray sufuray goyo teeyaŋ ra. A ga kaaruwataray* te mo nda ndunnya mayrayey kulu kaŋ go ndunnya fando boŋ.
18And her merchandise and her hire shall be holy to Jehovah: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before Jehovah, to eat and be sufficed, and for excellent clothing.
18 Amma a day da neera, d'a sufuray goyo, boro fo g'i fay waani Rabbi se. Arzaka si jisi, borey s'a daŋ barma mo, zama a day da neera ga ciya borey kaŋ goono ga goro Rabbi jine yaŋ din wane. I ma ŋwa ka kungu, ka bankaaray gaakurante yaŋ te mo.
