Isaiah

48

1Hear ye this, house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, who swear by the name of Jehovah, and make mention of the God of Israel, not in truth, nor in righteousness.
1 Ya Yakuba dumo, araŋ kaŋ i goono g'araŋ maa ce nda Israyla maa, Yahuda hayyaŋo mo, kaŋ yaŋ ga ze da Rabbi maa, I ga Israyla Irikoyo maa ci ngey meyey ra, Amma manti cimi wala adilitaray ra bo.
2For they are named after the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel: Jehovah of hosts is his name.
2 Zama i ga ne ngey boŋ se gallu hanna boroyaŋ. I ga ne ngey ga de Israyla Irikoyo gaa, Kaŋ Rabbi Kundeykoyo no ga ti a maa. Araŋ ma maa woone:
3I have declared the former things long ago; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I caused them to be heard: I wrought suddenly, and they came to pass.
3 Ay na za doŋ muraadey bangandi za gayyaŋ. I fatta ay meyo ra, ay n'i ci mo. Mo-milla folloŋ no ay goy, a te mo.
4Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass,
4 Zama ay bay kaŋ ni ya boŋ sando no. Ni hanga ga sandi danga guuru-bi, Ni boŋo mo ga sandi danga guuru-say.
5so I have long ago declared [them] to thee; before they came to pass I caused thee to hear [them]; lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, or my molten image hath commanded them.
5 Woodin se no ay n'i bangandi ni se za doŋ. Za i mana te no ay naŋ ni maa r'ey. Zama ni ma si ne: ‹Ay tooro no k'i te. Ay danay tooro nd'ay sooguyaŋ tooro no k'i lordi.›
6Thou heardest, see all this; -- and ye, will not ye declare [it]? I have caused thee to hear new things from this time, and things hidden, and that thou knewest not:
6 Ni maa woodin, m'i kulu guna. Araŋ mo, manti araŋ g'i fe bo? Za sohõ no ay ga ni cabe muraadu tajiyaŋ, Gundu wane yaŋ kaŋ ni mana bay jina.
7they are created now, and not long ago; and before this day thou hast not heard them, lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
7 Sohõ no ay n'i taka, manti za doŋ bo, Amma ni mana maa i baaru baa ce fo, kala hunkuna. Zama ni ma si ne: ‹A go, ay jin ka bay i gaa.›
8Yea, thou heardest not, yea, thou knewest not, yea, from of old thine ear was not opened; for I knew that thou wouldest ever deal treacherously, and thou wast called a transgressor from the womb.
8 Oho, ni mana maa! Oho, ni mana bay! Oho, za doŋ ni hanga mana fiti! Zama ay bay kaŋ daahir ni gonda amaana ŋwaari alhaali. Za gunde ra no i ne ni se turante.
9For my name's sake I will defer mine anger, and [for] my praise will I refrain as to thee, that I cut thee not off.
9 Ay maa sabbay se no ay g'ay futa gaay. Ay ma du sifaw sabbay se mo no ay ga hin suuru nda nin, Zama ay ma si ni halaci.
10Behold, I have refined thee, but not as silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
10 A go, ay na ni hanandi, Amma manti sanda mate kaŋ cine i ga te nzarfu se bo. Ay na ni si no taabi danji bambata bindo ra.
11For mine own sake, for mine own sake, will I do [it]; for how should [my name] be profaned? and I will not give my glory unto another.
11 Ay bumbo sabbay se, Ay bumbo sabbay se no ay ga woodin te, Zama mate n'ay ga te ka yadda i m'ay maa ziibandi? Ay darza mo, ay s'a no boro fo se.
12Hearken unto me, Jacob, and [thou] Israel, my called. I [am] HE; I, the first, and I, the last.
12 Ya Yakuba, kaŋ ga ti Israyla kaŋ ay ce, Wa hanga jeeri ay se: Ay no ga ti NGA. Ay no ga ti Sintina, ay mo no ga ti Bananta.
13Yea, my hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spread abroad the heavens: I call unto them, they stand up together.
13 Daahir ay kamba no ka ndunnya tiksa sinji. Ay kambe ŋwaaro mo no ka beeney daaru. Ay n'i ce, i tun care banda.
14All ye, gather yourselves together, and hear: which among them hath declared these things? He whom Jehovah hath loved shall execute his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm [shall be on] the Chaldeans.
14 Ya araŋ kulu, wa margu, wa maa. Toorey ra may no ka muraadey din bangandi? Bora kaŋ Rabbi ga ba no g'a miila toonandi Babila boŋ, A kamba mo ga tin Kaldancey boŋ.
15I, [even] I, have spoken; yea, I have called him; I have brought him, and his way shall be prosperous.
15 Ay no, oho, ay no ka salaŋ. Oho, ay n'a ce, ay no ka kand'a. A ga nga fonda albarkandi mo.
16Come near unto me, hear ye this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I; and now the Lord Jehovah hath sent me, and his Spirit.
16 Wa maan ay do ka maa woone: Za sintina yana salaŋ tuguray ra bo. Za waati kaŋ a go no, ay mo go noodin. Sohõ mo Rabbi, Koy Beero na in da nga Biya donton.
17Thus saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I [am] Jehovah thy God, who teacheth thee for [thy] profit, who leadeth thee in the way that thou shouldest go.
17 Ya-cine no Rabbi ni Fansakwa, Israyla wane Hananyankoyo ci, a ne: Ay no, Rabbi ni Irikoyo kaŋ ga ni dondonandi ni nafa se, Kaŋ ga ni candi fonda kaŋ ni ga hima ka gana din ra.
18Oh that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! Then would thy peace have been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea;
18 Da ni hangan ka maa ay lordey se, Doŋ yaadin gaa ni laakal kana ga hima sanda isa beeri, Ni adilitara mo ga hima teeku bonday beeri yaŋ.
19and thy seed would have been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof: their name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
19 Ni banda mo ga baa sanda taasi cine, Ni haamey mo ga baa sanda laabu gurayzeyaŋ cine. I maa si daray hal abada, A si halaci mo ay jine.»
20Go ye forth from Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing; declare, cause this to be heard, utter it to the end of the earth; say ye, Jehovah hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
20 Wa fatta Babila ra, wa zuru Kaldancey se! Araŋ ma woone ci ka fe da farhã dooni. W'a baaru dede hala ndunnya me, ka ne: «Rabbi na nga tamo Yakuba fansa*.»
21And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts; he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them; yea, he clave the rock, and the waters gushed out.
21 I mana maa jaw waato kaŋ a n'i candi ka gana nd'ey taasi beerey ra. A naŋ hari fatta i se ka fun tondi ra, A na tondi daaro kortu mo hala hari-moy zuru.
22There is no peace, saith Jehovah, unto the wicked.
22 Rabbi ne: «Laakal kanay si no laalakoyey se.»
