11

1The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,
1 Sanni kaŋ fun Rabbi do ka kaa Irimiya do neeya:
2Hear ye the words of this covenant; and speak ye unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
2 Wa maa sappa woone sanno ka salaŋ nda Yahuda borey, da Urusalima gorokoy mo se.
3And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant
3 Ma ne i se: Yaa no Rabbi Israyla Irikoyo ci: Laalante no boro kaŋ mana haggoy da sappa wo sanney
4which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Hearken unto my voice and do them, according to all that I command you; so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
4 kaŋ ay n'araŋ kaayey lordi nd'a waato kaŋ ay n'i fattandi Misira laabo ra, guuru dudal beero ra. Ay ne: Wa hangan ka maa ay sanno se, araŋ ma goy mo hay kulu kaŋ ay n'araŋ lordi nd'a boŋ! Yaadin gaa no araŋ ga ciya ay jama, ay mo ya ciya araŋ Irikoyo.
5that I may perform the oath that I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. And I answered and said, Amen, Jehovah!
5 Zama ay ma zeyaŋo kayandi kaŋ ay ze d'a araŋ kaayey se ka ne ay g'i no laabu kaŋ ga wa da yu bambari, sanda mate kaŋ cine a go d'a hala hunkuna. Ay tu mo ka ne: «Amin, ya Rabbi!»
6And Jehovah said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying: Hear the words of this covenant, and do them.
7For I earnestly protested unto your fathers, in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Hearken unto my voice.
7 Zama kaseeti beeri no ay salaŋ d'a araŋ kaayey se, hano kaŋ hane ay n'i kaa Misira laabo ra ka kaa hala sohõ. Ay ga soobay ka ci ka yaara i se: Wa hangan ka maa ay sanno se.
8But they have not hearkened, nor inclined their ear, but have walked every one in the stubbornness of their evil heart; and I have brought upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded [them] to do, and they have not done.
8 Amma borey mana maa, i mana hanga jeeri mo, amma i afo kulu soobay ka dira ngey hanga sanday laalayaŋo ra. Woodin se no ay ga sappa woone sanney kulu zumandi i boŋ, sanney kaŋ ay dake i boŋ i ma te, amma i man'i te.
9And Jehovah said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
10They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words; and they have gone after other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
10 Kaayey kaŋ yaŋ wangu ka maa ay sanney, i haamey bare ka ye i zunubey gaa haray, ka de-koy fooyaŋ gana mo zama ngey ma may i se.
11Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will bring evil upon them, from which they shall not be able to escape; and they will cry unto me, and I will not hearken unto them.
11 Woodin se yaa no Rabbi ci: A go, ay goono ga masiiba candi ka kande i boŋ kaŋ i si du ka yana. I ga hẽ ay gaa, amma ay si hangan i se.
12Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go and cry unto the gods unto whom they have burned incense; but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
12 Waato din gaa Yahuda galley da Urusalima gorokoy ga koy ka hẽ de-koyey gaa kaŋ yaŋ se i na dugu ton, amma ngey mo s'i faaba baa kayna fo i taabi alwaato ra.
13For [as] the number of thy cities, are thy gods, O Judah; and [as] the number of the streets of Jerusalem, have ye set up altars to the Shame, altars to burn incense unto Baal.
13 Zama ni galley baayaŋo me no ga ti ni de-koyey mo baayaŋey me, nin Yahuda. Urusalima kwaara fondey baayaŋo me mo no araŋ na feema sinji haawi haro wo se, feemey nooya kaŋ i ga dugu ton i ra Baal se.
14And thou, pray not for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them; for I will not hear in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.
15What hath my beloved to do in my house, seeing that the more part practise their evil devices, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? When thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.
16Jehovah had called thy name, A green olive-tree, fair, of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and its branches are broken.
17For Jehovah of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done for themselves, to provoke me to anger in burning incense unto Baal.
18And Jehovah hath given me knowledge, and I know [it]; then thou shewedst me their doings.
18 Rabbi n'ay kabarandi nda woodin, ay n'a bay mo. Waato din gaa, ya Rabbi, ni n'i goyey cab'ay se.
19And I was like a tame lamb [that] is led to the slaughter; and I knew not that they devised devices against me, [saying,] Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.
19 Amma ay ga hima sanda feej'ize kaŋ si yanje, kaŋ i go ga kond'a wiyaŋ do. Ay mana bay mo kaŋ wiiza day i na me-hawyaŋ soola te ay boŋ.
20But thou, Jehovah of hosts, who judgest righteously, who triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
20 Amma nin, ya Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Nin kaŋ ga cimi ciiti te, Borey biney d'i fonguyaŋey neesikwa mo no, Naŋ ya di ni banayaŋo i boŋ, Zama ni do no ay kande ay sabaabo.
21Therefore thus saith Jehovah concerning the men of Anathoth, that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of Jehovah, that thou die not by our hand,
21 Woodin sabbay se, yaa no Rabbi ci Anatot alborey boŋ, ngey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga ni fundo ceeci ka ne: «Ni ma si annabitaray te Rabbi maa gaa, zama iri ma si ni wi.»
22-- therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Behold, I punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine;
22 Woodin sabbay se, yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci: A go, ay ga ba k'i gooji. I sahãkooney, takuba g'i wi. I ize arey da ize wayey mo, haray g'i wi.
23and there shall be no remnant of them; for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, in the year of their visitation.
23 Ay si baa boro folloŋ cindi i ra, zama ay ga masiiba candi ka kande Anatot alborey boŋ, i alhakko jiiro nooya.
