¹The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews who dwelt in the land of Egypt, who dwelt at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

¹ Sanno neeya kaŋ kaa Irimiya do Yahudancey kulu boŋ kaŋ goono ga goro Misira laabo ra, Migdol, da Tafanes, da Nof, da Patros laabo ra gorokoy mo. A ne i se:

²Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and behold they are, this day, a waste, and no man dwelleth therein,

² Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Israyla Irikoyo ci: Araŋ di masiiba kulu kaŋ ay candi ka kande Urusalima da Yahuda galley kulu boŋ. A go mo, sohõ i ciya kurmuyaŋ. Boro siino ga goro i ra,

³because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense to serve other gods which they knew not, they, [nor] ye, nor your fathers.

³ i laala kaŋ i te din sabbay se, zama ngey ma yanje ceeci ay gaa se. Zama i soobay ka dugu ton, i may mo de-koy fooyaŋ se, kaŋ yaŋ i si bay -- za ngey, wala araŋ, wala baa araŋ kaayey mo.

⁴And I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing which I hate!

⁴ Kulu nda yaadin, ay n'ay tam annabey kulu donton araŋ gaa. Ay ga soobay k'i donton araŋ gaa. Ay go ga ne araŋ se: Wa si fanta goy wo te, kaŋ ay bina ga konn'a.

⁵But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

⁵ Amma i mana saal, i mana hanga jeeri mo, kaŋ ga naŋ i ma bare ka fay da ngey goy laaley, i ma fay da dugu tonyaŋ de-koy fooyaŋ se mo.

⁶And my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are become a waste, a desolation, as at this day.

⁶ Woodin sabbay se no ay futa d'ay futay korna kaa ka kaŋ i boŋ ka Yahuda galley da Urusalima kwaara fondey diyandi, kal i kaŋ ka ciya kurmuyaŋ hala ka kaa hunkuna.

⁷And now thus saith Jehovah the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Wherefore commit ye great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, infant and suckling, out of the midst of Judah, to leave you no remnant;

⁷ Sohõ binde, yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Israyla Irikoyo ci: Ifo se no araŋ ga laala bambata woone te, araŋ goono g'araŋ boŋ fundey hasara, hala nda mate kaŋ araŋ g'araŋ boŋ tuusu ka kaa Yahuda gaa, alboro nda wayboro, zanka nda naanandi. Araŋ jare kaŋ cindi si ye ka cindi koyne.

⁸provoking me to anger with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye are come to sojourn, that ye should be cut off, and that ye should be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

⁸ Zama araŋ na yanje ceeci ay gaa d'araŋ kambe goyey, araŋ go ga dugu ton de-koy fooyaŋ se Misira laabo ra hal ay m'araŋ kosu ka kaa noodin, naŋ kaŋ araŋ koy zama araŋ ma goro. Araŋ ga ciya laaliyaŋ hari, da taali dakeyaŋ hari ndunnya dumey kulu ra.

⁹Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

⁹ Mate no, araŋ dinya araŋ kaayey laalayaŋey, da Yahuda bonkooney laalayaŋey, d'i wandey laalayaŋey, d'araŋ bumbey laalayaŋey, d'araŋ wandey laalayaŋey kaŋ i te Yahuda laabo ra, da Urusalima kwaara fondey ra?

¹⁰They are not humbled unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes which I set before you and before your fathers.

¹⁰ Wiiza, i mana ngey boŋ kaynandi hala hõ, i mana humburu, i man'ay asariya wala ay hin sanney gana mo, wo kaŋ ay daŋ araŋ d'araŋ kaayey jine.

¹¹Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.

¹¹ Woodin se no, yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Israyla Irikoyo ci: A go, ay g'ay moyduma sinji araŋ gaa da masiiba miila, ay ga Yahuda kulu halaci mo.

¹²And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to enter into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed: in the land of Egypt shall they fall; they shall be consumed by the sword [and] by the famine, from the least even unto the greatest; they shall die by the sword and by the famine, and they shall be an execration, an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

¹² Ay ga Yahuda jara kaŋ cindi din sambu, nga kaŋ na ngey moyduma sinji ngey ma koy ka goro Misira laabo ra, i kulu ga halaci mo. I kulu ga kaŋ Misira laabo ra: takuba nda haray no g'i ban. I ma bu, za ibeerey ka koy i kayney gaa, haray da takuba no g'i wi. I ma ciya laaliyaŋ hari, da humburandiyaŋ hari, da wowi hari, da taali dakeyaŋ hari.

¹³And I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence;

¹³ Zama sanda mate kaŋ cine ay na Urusalima ciiti da takuba nda haray da balaaw, yaadin cine no ay ga te borey kaŋ goono ga goro Misira laabo ra se.

¹⁴and none of the remnant of Judah, that have come into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, so as to return into the land of Judah, whither they have a desire to return to dwell there; for none shall return but such as shall escape.

¹⁵Then all the men who knew that their wives burned incense to other gods, and all the women who stood by, a great assemblage, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

¹⁵ Waato din gaa alborey kulu kaŋ du ka bay kaŋ ngey wandey goono ga dugu ton de-koy fooyaŋ se, da wayborey kulu kaŋ goono ga kay noodin, jama bambata no, sanda borey kulu kaŋ goono ga goro Misira laabo Patros ra, i tu Irimiya se ka ne:

¹⁶[As for] the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of Jehovah, we will not hearken unto thee,

¹⁶ «Sanni woone kaŋ ni ci iri se Rabbi maa ra, iri si ni saal.

¹⁷but we will certainly do every word that is gone forth out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out drink-offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and we had plenty of bread, and were well, and saw no evil.

¹⁷ Amma sikka si iri wo, kal iri ma sanney kulu kaŋ fun iri me ra toonandi, _kaŋ iri ne|_ iri ga dugu ton _hando se, kaŋ se i ga ne|_ wayboro bonkoono kaŋ go beene, iri ma haŋyaŋ sargayey soogu a se, sanda mate kaŋ cine iri jin ka te, iri nd'iri kaayey d'iri bonkooney, d'iri mayraykoyey, Yahuda galley da Urusalima kwaara fondey ra. Zama alwaati woodin ra iri gonda ŋwaari kunji, iri gonda baani, iri mana di masiiba kulu mo.

¹⁸But since we left off burning incense to the queen of the heavens, and pouring out drink-offerings to her, we have wanted everything, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

¹⁸ Amma za hano kaŋ hane iri fay da dugu tonyaŋ wayboro bonkoono kaŋ go beene din se, iri ma haŋyaŋ sargay soogu a se mo, sohõ kay, iri jaŋ hay kulu, takuba nda haray n'iri halaci mo.»

¹⁹And when we burned incense to the queen of the heavens and poured out drink-offerings to her, did we make for her cakes to portray her, and pour out drink-offerings to her, without our husbands?

¹⁹ Wayborey mo ne: «Waati kaŋ iri na dugu ton beene wayboro bonkoono se, iri na haŋyaŋ sargayyaŋ mo soogu a se, E! manti iri kurnyey yaddayaŋ boŋ no iri na maasa ton a se a himando ra, hal iri na haŋyaŋ sargayey mo soogu a se?»

²⁰And Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people that had given him that answer, saying,

²⁰ Kala Irimiya salaŋ marga borey kulu se, alborey da wayborey, sanda borey kulu kaŋ na tuyaŋ woodin dumi te a se, ka ne:

²¹Is it not the incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye and your fathers, your kings and your princes and the people of the land, that Jehovah remembered, and that came into his mind?

²¹ «Dugey kaŋ araŋ doona ga ton Yahuda galley ra, da Urusalima kwaara fondey ra, araŋ d'araŋ kaayey, d'araŋ bonkooney, d'araŋ mayraykoyey, da laabo jama mo, manti Rabbi fongu i gaa? Haya mana furo a se bine ra bo?

²²And Jehovah could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, [and] because of the abominations that ye had committed; and your land is become a waste, and an astonishment, and a curse, without inhabitant, as at this day.

²² Hal a to naŋ kaŋ Rabbi si hin ka tonton ka suuru koyne, araŋ goyey laalayaŋo da fanta goyey kaŋ araŋ te din sabbay se. Woodin se no araŋ laabo ciya kurmu, da dambara hari, da laaliyaŋ hari. A sinda goroko mo mate kaŋ a go hunkuna.

²³Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against Jehovah, and have not hearkened unto the voice of Jehovah, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil hath come upon you, as at this day.

²³ Masiiba woone du araŋ, sanda mate kaŋ a go hunkuna, zama araŋ na dugu ton, araŋ na zunubi te Rabbi se, araŋ mana Rabbi sanno gana, araŋ mana a asariya wala a hin sanney wala a seedey mo gana.»

²⁴And Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear ye the word of Jehovah, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt.

²⁴ Irimiya ye ka ne jama da wayborey kulu se: Wa maa Rabbi sanno, ya araŋ Yahuda kulu kaŋ yaŋ go Misira laabo ra:

²⁵Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hands, saying, We will certainly perform our vows which we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out drink-offerings unto her. Ye will certainly establish your vows, and entirely perform your vows.

²⁵ Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Israyla Irikoyo ci: Araŋ d'araŋ wayborey, araŋ salaŋ d'araŋ meyey, araŋ toonandi mo d'araŋ kambey, araŋ goono ga ne: «Daahir, iri ga sartey kaŋ iri sambu yaŋ din toonandi, iri ma dugu ton beene wayboro bonkoono se, iri ma haŋyaŋ sargayey soogu a se.» Daahir araŋ go g'araŋ sartey tabbatandi, daahir araŋ go g'i toonandi mo!

²⁶Therefore hear ye the word of Jehovah, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt: Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith Jehovah, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, [As] the Lord Jehovah liveth.

²⁶ To, ya araŋ Yahuda kulu kaŋ goono ga goro Misira laabo ra, araŋ ma maa Rabbi sanno: Guna, ay ze d'ay maa darzakoyo, yaa no Rabbi ci, Yahuda boro kulu me si ye k'ay maa ce koyne Misira laabo kulu ra ka ne: «Ay ze da Rabbi Irikoy fundikoono.»

²⁷Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good; and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

²⁷ A go, ay g'i batu nda masiiba miila, kaŋ manti gomni wane bo. Yahuda alborey kulu kaŋ yaŋ go Misira laabo ra, takuba nda haray no g'i ban, kal i banyaŋo ma to.

²⁸And they that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, a very small company; and all the remnant of Judah, that have come into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose word shall stand, mine or theirs.

²⁸ Boro kaŋ ga du ka takuba yana ka fatta Misira laabo ra ka ye Yahuda laabo ra mo, manti boro boobo no. Yahuda jara cindo mo kaŋ koy Misira laabu zama ngey ma goro noodin, i ga bay boro kaŋ sanni no ga kay, hal ay wano, wala ngey wano.

²⁹And this shall be the sign unto you, saith Jehovah, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall certainly stand against you for evil:

²⁹ Woone mo ga ciya alaama araŋ se, yaa no Rabbi ci: ay g'araŋ gooji nango wo ra, zama araŋ ma du ka bay kaŋ ay sanno ga kay araŋ boŋ da masiiba miila.

³⁰thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will give Pharaoh-Hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.

³⁰ Yaa no Rabbi ci: A go, ay ga Misira bonkoono Firawna Hofra daŋ a ibarey kambe ra, da ngey kaŋ goono g'a fundo ceeci yaŋ kambe ra, sanda mate kaŋ cine ay na Yahuda bonkoono Zedeciya daŋ nga ibara Babila bonkoono Nebukadnezzar kambe ra, nga kaŋ n'a fundo ceeci.
