Job

23

1And Job answered and said,
1 Gaa no Ayuba tu ka ne:
2Even to-day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
2 «Baa hunkuna bumbo, hẽeno kaŋ ay goono ga te wo ciya murteyaŋ. Ay kamba ga tin ay durayyaŋo se.
3Oh that I knew where I might find him, that I might come to his seat!
3 Doŋ day ay ma bay naŋ kaŋ ay ga du a, Hal ay ma to a karga do!
4I would order the cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments;
4 Kala y'ay hẽeno ŋwaarayyaŋ soola a jine, Ay m'ay meyo toonandi nda sabaabuyaŋ.
5I would know the words he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me.
5 Kal ay ma bay sanney kaŋ yaŋ a ga tu ay se d'a, Ya faham da haŋ kaŋ a ga ci ay se.
6Would he plead against me with [his] great power? Nay; but he would give heed unto me.
6 A ga canda-canda nd'ay, Nga nda nga beera hino, wala? Abada! A ga hangan ay se no.
7There would an upright man reason with him; and I should be delivered for ever from my judge.
7 Noodin no adilantey ga hin ka sabaabu cabe a se, Yaadin gaa no, I g'ay faaba ay ciitikwa kambe ra hal abada.
8Lo, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I do not perceive him;
8 Guna, ay n'a ceeci jina haray, Amma a si noodin. Banda mo, amma ay mana du k'a fayanka.
9On the left hand, where he doth work, but I behold [him] not; he hideth himself on the right hand, and I see [him] not.
9 Kambe wow haray, nango kaŋ a ga goy, Amma yan'a fonnay, A ga nga boŋ tugu kambe ŋwaari haray, Hal ay si hin ka di a.
10But he knoweth the way that I take; he trieth me, I shall come forth as gold.
10 Amma a ga fonda kaŋ ay ga gana din bay, Saaya kaŋ a jin k'ay gosi, ay ga fatta sanda wura.
11My foot hath held to his steps; his way have I kept, and not turned aside.
11 Ay ca mana fay d'a fonda ganayaŋ, Ay soobay k'a cey gana, yana kamba bo.
12Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have laid up the words of his mouth more than the purpose of my own heart.
12 Ay mana ye da banda ka fay d'a me lordey, Ay haggoy d'a me sanney ka bisa ay ŋwaaro.
13But he is in one [mind], and who can turn him? And what his soul desireth, that will he do.
13 Amma nga wo afolloŋ no, May no ga hin k'a bare binde? Haŋ kaŋ a bina ga ba, nga no a ga te.
14For he will perform [what] is appointed for me; and many such things are with him.
14 Zama haŋ kaŋ a waadu ay gaa, Nga no a ga goy ay gaa, Woodin yaŋ dumi hari boobo mo go no a do.
15Therefore am I troubled at his presence; I consider, and I am afraid of him.
15 Woodin se no ay laakal ga tun a jine, D'ay fongu mo, ay ga humbur'a.
16For ùGod hath made my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me;
16 Zama Irikoy naŋ ay bina ma yangala, Hina-Kulu-Koyo n'ay laakal tunandi mo.
17Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he hidden the gloom from me.
17 Zama manti kubay no k'ay halaci bo, Manti mo kubay bi tik! no k'ay moyduma daabu.
