1And Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
1 Kala Elifaz Teman bora tu ka ne:
2Can a man be profitable to ùGod? surely it is unto himself that the wise man is profitable.
2 «A ga hin ka te boro ma nafa fo te Irikoy se mate kaŋ laakalkooni ga nafa nga boŋ se?
3Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if thou art righteous? And is it gain [to him] that thou makest thy ways perfect?
3 Ni adilitara ya hay kaano fo no Hina-Kulu-Koyo se? Wala ni cimi toonanta gonda nafa fo no a se?
4Will he reason with thee for fear of thee? Will he enter with thee into judgment?
4 Zama a ga humburu nin se no a ga kaseeti ni gaa? Wala nin d'a ga koy ciiti do no?
5Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities without end?
5 Ni laala, manti ibambata no? Ni zunubey mo, i sinda me.
6For thou hast taken a pledge of thy brother for nought, and stripped off the clothing of the naked.
6 Ni na tolme ta ni nya-izo gaa yaamo-yaamo, Ni na dirakooney bankaarayey kaa i gaa.
7Thou hast not given water to the fainting to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.
7 Ni mana fargantey no hari i ma haŋ, Ni na harayzey ganji ŋwaari mo.
8But the powerful man, he had the land; and the man of high rank dwelt in it.
8 Amma gaabikooni ka bara nda ndunnya, Gaakurantey mo ga goro a ra.
9Widows hast thou sent empty away, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

10Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
10 Woodin sabbay se no kumsayyaŋ goono ga ni windi, Haŋ kaŋ ga kaŋ farap! folloŋ mo, A humburkuma goono ga ni taabandi.
11Or darkness, that thou canst not see, and floods of waters cover thee.
11 Kubay go no hala ni si hin ka di, Beene hirriyaŋ mo ga ni daabu.
12Is not +God in the height of the heavens? And behold the summit of the stars: how exalted are they!
12 Irikoy si yongo beene no? Guna handariyayzey moora! Man i moora salleyaŋo misa?
13And thou sayest, What doth ùGod know? will he judge through the dark cloud?
13 Ni ne mo: ‹Ifo no Irikoy ga bay? A ga hin ka haŋ kaŋ go kubay ra ciiti no?
14Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh on the vault of the heavens.
14 Beene hirriyaŋ beeray n'a daabu hal a si di, A goono mo ga taamu beene batamey boŋ.›
15Dost thou mark the ancient path which wicked men have trodden?
15 Ni ga fondo zeeno gana, Wo kaŋ boro laaley taamu, wala?
16Who were carried off before the time, whose foundation was overflowed with a flood;
16 Borey kaŋ i n'i hamay ka kaa za i alwaato mana to, I n'i deyaŋ haro bagu-bagu danga hari zuru gooru.
17Who said unto ùGod, Depart from us! and what could the Almighty do to them?
17 Ngey no ka ne Irikoy se: ‹Fay d'iri.› Wala i ne: ‹Ifo no Hina-Kulu-Koyo ga hin ka te iri se?›
18Yet he filled their houses with good. But the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
18 Amma nga no k'i windey toonandi nda albarka. Amma boro laaley saawarey ga mooru ay.
19The righteous see it, and are glad; and the innocent laugh them to scorn:

20Is not he who rose against us destroyed, and doth not the fire consume his residue?
20 I go ga ne: ‹Daahir, i duura halaci, Haŋ kaŋ cindi i se mo, danji g'a ŋwa.›
21Reconcile thyself now with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
21 Ni ma Irikoy bay gumo sohõ, ka goro baani, Woodin gaa no ni ga di gomni.
22Receive, I pray thee, instruction from his mouth, and lay up his words in thy heart.
22 Ay ga ni ŋwaaray, ma dondonandiyaŋ ta a meyo ra, K'a sanney jisi ni bina ra.
23If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up. If thou remove unrighteousness far from thy tents,
23 Da ni ye ka kaa Hina-Kulu-Koyo do, ni ga tonton, Hala day ni na adilitaray-jaŋay hibandi ka moorandi ni nangora gaa,
24And put the precious ore with the dust, and [the gold of] Ophir among the stones of the torrents,
24 Ka ni arzaka jisi ganda kusa ra, Ofir wura mo, m'a jisi goorey tond'izey ra,
25Then the Almighty will be thy precious ore, and silver heaped up unto thee;
25 Gaa no Hina-Kulu-Koyo ga ciya ni arzaka, A ga ciya nzarfu darzante mo ni se.
26Yea, then shalt thou delight thyself in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto +God:
26 Zama waato din gaa no ni ga farhã Hina-Kulu-Koyo do, Ni ga ni moyduma sambu ka Irikoy guna.
27Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he will hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows;
27 Ni ga ni adduwa te a gaa, A ga maa ni se mo. Ni ga ni sarto mo toonandi a se.
28And thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee; and light shall shine upon thy ways.
28 Haŋ kaŋ ni soola ni bina ra ga tabbat ni se, Annura mo ga ni fondey kaarandi.
29When they are made low, then thou shalt say, Rise up! and he shall save him that is of downcast eyes.
29 Saaya kaŋ i na ni soote ganda, Ni ga ne: ‹Tunyaŋ go no koyne.› A ga lalabuko faaba mo.
30[Even] him that is not innocent shall he deliver; yea, he shall be delivered by the pureness of thy hands.
30 Boro kaŋ si jaŋ taali mo, a g'a kaa kambe, Oho, a g'a faaba ni kambey hananyaŋo sabbay se.»
