1And as he passed on, he saw a man blind from birth.
1 Waato kaŋ Yesu goono ga bisa, a di danaw fo kaŋ danaw no za hano kaŋ hane i n'a hay.
2And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this [man] or his parents, that he should be born blind?
2 Yesu talibey n'a hã ka ne: «Alfa, may no ka zunubi te hal i n'a hay danaw? Nga no, wala a hayrey no?»
3Jesus answered, Neither has this [man] sinned nor his parents, but that the works of God should be manifested in him.
3 Yesu tu ka ne: «Manti boro wo wala a hayrey no na zunubi te. Amma woodin te zama Irikoy goyey ma bangay a do.
4I must work the works of him that has sent me while it is day. [The] night is coming, when no one can work.
4 Tilas kal iri ma nga kaŋ n'ay donton goyey te za zaaro ga cindi. Cin ga kaa kaŋ boro kulu si hin ka goy.
5As long as I am in the world, I am [the] light of the world.
5 Waato kaŋ ay go ndunnya ra, ay no ga ti ndunnya annura.»
6Having said these things, he spat on the ground and made mud of the spittle, and put the mud, as ointment, on his eyes.
6 Waato kaŋ a na woodin ci, a na yollo tufa laabo ra ka botogo diibi nda yolla ka danawo moy tuusu nda botoga.
7And he said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, which is interpreted, Sent. He went therefore and washed, and came seeing.
7 A ne a se: «Koy k'i nyum Silowam bango gaa» (kaŋ a maa feerijo ga ti Dontoni). A binde koy k'i nyum. A ye ka kaa, a goono ga di!
8The neighbours therefore, and those who used to see him before, that he was a beggar, said, Is not this he that was sitting and begging?
8 A gorokasiney da borey kaŋ di a za doŋ, kaŋ yaŋ bay bar karko no, i goono ga ne: «Wala manti nga no doona ka goro ka bar kar?»
9Some said, It is he; others said, No, but he is like him: *he* said, It is I.
9 Boro fooyaŋ goono ga ne: «Nga no.» Afooyaŋ mo goono ga ne: «Abada! Amma a ga him'a.» Nga bumbo ne: «Ay no.»
10They said therefore to him, How have thine eyes been opened?
10 I goono ga ne a se: «Mate no ni moy te ka fiti?»
11He answered [and said], A man called Jesus made mud and anointed mine eyes, and said to me, Go to Siloam and wash: and having gone and washed, I saw.
11 A tu i se ka ne: «Bora din kaŋ se i ga ne Yesu no na botogo diibi k'ay moy tuusu ka ne ay se: ‹Koy Silowam bango gaa k'i nyum.› Kal ay koy k'i nyum, ay moy di mo.»
12They said therefore to him, Where is he? He says, I do not know.
12 I ne a se: «Man gaa no a go?» A ne: «Ay si bay.»
13They bring him who was before blind to the Pharisees.
13 I kond'a Farisi fonda borey do, bora kaŋ ga ti danaw doŋ.
14Now it was sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes.
14 Asibti zaari hane no, zaaro kaŋ Yesu na botoga diibi ka danawo moy fiti.
15The Pharisees therefore also again asked him how he received his sight. And he said to them, He put mud upon mine eyes, and I washed, and I see.
15 Farisi fonda borey binde n'a hã koyne mate kaŋ cine no a du diyaŋ. A ne i se: «A na botogo daŋ ay moy gaa. Ay mo koy k'i nyum, ay goono ga di mo.»
16Some of the Pharisees therefore said, This man is not of God, for he does not keep the sabbath. Others said, How can a sinful man perform such signs? And there was a division among them.
16 Farisi fonda boro fooyaŋ goono ga ne: «Boro wo mana fun Irikoy do, zama a si asibti zaari kabiya.» Amma afooyaŋ goono ga ne: «Mate no boro kaŋ ga ti zunubikooni ga hin ka alaamey wo cine te?» I game ra mo, i laakaley fay.
17They say therefore again to the blind [man], What dost thou say of him, that he has opened thine eyes? And he said, He is a prophet.
17 Woodin sabbay se i ye ka danawo hã koyne ka ne: «Nin wo, ifo no ni ga ne a boŋ za kaŋ a na ni moy fiti?» A ne: «Annabi no.»
18The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him that he was blind and had received sight, until they had called the parents of him that had received sight.
18 Yahudancey mana yadda nd'a sanno kaŋ a ne nga wo danaw no doŋ, a du diyaŋ mo. Kal i na bora kaŋ du diyaŋ hayrey ce
19And they asked them saying, This is your son, of whom ye say that he was born blind: how then does he now see?
19 k'i hã ka ne: «Woone araŋ ize no, kaŋ araŋ ga ne araŋ n'a hay danaw? Mate no a te ka di sohõ?»
20His parents answered [them] and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;
20 A hayrey tu ka ne: «Iri bay kaŋ woone iri izo no kaŋ iri n'a hay danaw.
21but how he now sees we do not know, or who has opened his eyes we do not know. *He* is of age: ask *him*; *he* will speak concerning himself.
21 Amma mate kaŋ a te ka di sohõ, iri si bay. Bora kaŋ n'a moy fiti mo, iri s'a bay. W'a hã, a to albeeri, a ma salaŋ nga boŋ se.»
22His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if any one confessed him [to be the] Christ, he should be excommunicated from the synagogue.
22 Yaadin no a hayrey ci, zama i ga humburu Yahudancey. Zama Yahudancey te me folloŋ ka ne boro kulu kaŋ seeda ka ne Yesu ya Almasihu no, i ga bora din gaaray ngey diina marga ra.
23On this account his parents said, He is of age: ask *him*.
23 Woodin sabbay se no a hayrey ne: «A to albeeri, w'a hã.»
24They called therefore a second time the man who had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is sinful.
24 Woodin banda i ye ka bora din kaŋ ga ti danaw doŋ ce ka ne a se: «Ma Irikoy beerandi, zama iri ga bay kaŋ bora din ya zunubikooni no.»
25He answered therefore, If he is sinful I know not. One thing I know, that, being blind [before], now I see.
25 A binde tu i se ka ne: «Da zunubikooni no, ay si bay. Hari folloŋ no ay ga bay: doŋ ay ya danaw no, amma sohõ ay goono ga di.»
26And they said to him again, What did he do to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
26 I ne a se: «Ifo no a te ni se? Mate no a te ka ni moy fiti?»
27He answered them, I told you already and ye did not hear: why do ye desire to hear again? do ye also wish to become his disciples?
27 A tu i se ka ne: «Sohõ tilliyo no ay ci araŋ se. Araŋ mana maa mo. Ifo se no araŋ ga ba araŋ ma maa koyne? Araŋ mo ga ba araŋ ma ciya a talibiyaŋ no?»
28They railed at him, and said, Thou art his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.
28 I n'a wow ka ne: «Nin no ga ti a talibo, amma iri ya Musa talibiyaŋ no.
29We know that God spoke to Moses; but [as to] this [man], we know not whence he is.
29 Iri ga bay kaŋ Irikoy salaŋ da Musa, amma bora din, iri si bay naŋ kaŋ a fun.»
30The man answered and said to them, Now in this is a wonderful thing, that *ye* do not know whence he is, and he has opened mine eyes.
30 Bora din tu i se ka ne: «Haba? Hayo wo dambara hari no, kaŋ araŋ si bay naŋ kaŋ a fun, nga mo no n'ay moy fiti.
31[But] we know that God does not hear sinners; but if any one be God-fearing and do his will, him he hears.
31 Iri ga bay kaŋ Irikoy si maa zunubikooney se, amma boro kulu kaŋ ga humburu Irikoy k'a miila te mo, Irikoy ga maa bora din se.
32Since time was, it has not been heard that any one opened the eyes of one born blind.
32 Za ndunnya takayaŋ i mana maa baa ce fo boro fo ma boro fo mo fiti kaŋ i hay danaw.
33If this [man] were not of God he would be able to do nothing.
33 Da bora din mana fun Irikoy do, doŋ a si hin ka hay kulu te.»
34They answered and said to him, Thou hast been wholly born in sins, and thou teachest us? And they cast him out.
34 I tu a se ka ne: «Waato kaŋ i na ni hay ni to da zunubi. Nin no goono g'iri dondonandi, wala?» I n'a gaaray mo.
35Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him, he said to him, Thou, dost thou believe on the Son of God?
35 Yesu maa baaru kaŋ i n'a gaaray. Waato kaŋ a di a, a ne a se: «Ni ga Irikoy Izo cimandi, wala?»
36He answered and said, And who is he, Lord, that I may believe on him?
36 A tu ka ne: «Rabbi, may ga ti nga hal ay m'a cimandi?»
37And Jesus said to him, Thou hast both seen him, and he that speaks with thee is he.
37 Yesu ne a se: «Ni jin ka di a. Nga mo no goono ga salaŋ ni se.»
38And he said, I believe, Lord: and he did him homage.
38 A ne: «Rabbi, ay ga cimandi!» A sududu Yesu se mo.
39And Jesus said, For judgment am I come into this world, that they which see not may see, and they which see may become blind.
39 Yesu ne: «Ciiti sabbay se no ay kaa ndunnya wo ra hala borey kaŋ yaŋ si di ma du ka di, borey kaŋ yaŋ go ga di mo ma ciya danawyaŋ.»
40And [some] of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and they said to him, Are we blind also?
40 Farisi fonda boro fooyaŋ kaŋ go a banda maa sanney din ka ne a se: «Iri mo danawyaŋ no?»
41Jesus said to them, If ye were blind ye would not have sin; but now ye say, We see, your sin remains.
41 Yesu ne i se: «D'araŋ ya danawyaŋ no, doŋ araŋ sinda zunubi. Amma za kaŋ sohõ araŋ goono ga ne: ‹Iri go ga di› -- woodin sabbay se araŋ zunubo ga goro araŋ gaa.»
