Luke

10

1Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place where he himself was about to come.
1 Hayey din banda Rabbi na boro wayye fo suuban k'i donton ihinka-hinka i ma koy nga jine kwaara kulu da nangu kulu kaŋ nga wo ga ba ka koy.
2And he said to them, The harvest indeed [is] great, but the workmen few; supplicate therefore the Lord of the harvest that he may send out workmen into his harvest.
3Go: behold *I* send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves.
3 Wa koy araŋ koyyaŋ. Wa guna, ay g'araŋ donton danga feejiyaŋ sakaliyaŋ* game ra.
4Carry neither purse nor scrip nor sandals, and salute no one on the way.
4 Day wa si foolo, wala zalifonto, wala taamuyaŋ jare. Wa si boro kulu fo fonda boŋ mo.
5And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace to this house.
5 Windi kulu mo kaŋ ra araŋ ga furo, wa jin ka ne: ‹Baani ma bara windo wo gaa.›
6And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it; but if not it shall turn to you again.
6 Da baani ize go noodin, araŋ salam ga goro a boŋ. Da manti yaadin mo no, a ga ye araŋ do.
7And in the same house abide, eating and drinking such things as they have; for the workman is worthy of his hire. Remove not from house to house.
7 Araŋ ma goro windo din ra, ka ŋwa ka haŋ wo kaŋ go i se, zama goy-teeri ga hima ka du nga banando. Araŋ ma si zumbu windi-windi.
8And into whatsoever city ye may enter and they receive you, eat what is set before you,
8 Kwaara kulu kaŋ ra araŋ ga furo, hala mo i n'araŋ kubayni, kal araŋ ma ŋwa haŋ kaŋ i ga jisi araŋ jine.
9and heal the sick in it, and say to them, The kingdom of God is come nigh to you.
9 Araŋ ma doorikomey kaŋ go a ra no baani. Wa ci i se: ‹Irikoy koytara kaa ka maan araŋ gaa.›
10But into whatsoever city ye may have entered and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,
10 Amma kwaara kulu kaŋ ra araŋ furo, d'i mana araŋ kubayni, araŋ ma fatta ka koy kwaara fondey ra ka ne:
11Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us on the feet, do we shake off against you; but know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh.
11 ‹Baa araŋ kwaara kusa kaŋ lamba iri cey gaa, iri g'a kokobe araŋ gaa. Kulu nda yaadin wa bay kaŋ Irikoy koytara kaa ka maan.›
12I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for Sodom in that day than for that city.
13Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if the works of power which have taken place in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they had long ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
13 Kaari nin, Korazin! Kaari nin, Baytsayda!
14But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.
14 Kulu nda yaadin, Tir da Zidon ga du rongome ciito hane ka bisa araŋ.
15And *thou*, Capernaum, who hast been raised up to heaven, shalt be brought down even to hades.
Abada! I ga ni ye ganda hala Alaahara.
16He that hears you hears me; and he that rejects you rejects me; and he that rejects me rejects him that sent me.
16 Boro kaŋ maa araŋ se, a maa ay mo se. Boro kaŋ wangu araŋ, a wangu ay mo. Boro kaŋ wangu ay mo, a wangu nga kaŋ n'ay donton.»
17And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us through thy name.
18And he said to them, I beheld Satan as lightning falling out of heaven.
18 Kal a ne i se: «Ay go ga Saytan* guna waato kaŋ a fun beene ka kaŋ, mate kaŋ cine beene maliyaŋ ga te d'a.
19Behold, I give you the power of treading upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall in anywise injure you.
19 Guna, ay n'araŋ no dabari araŋ ma gondiyaŋ da daŋyaŋ taamu, araŋ ma ibare dabaro kulu may mo. Hay kulu si no kaŋ g'araŋ maray.
20Yet in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjected to you, but rejoice that your names are written in the heavens.
21In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I praise thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that thou hast hid these things from wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: yea, Father, for thus has it been well-pleasing in thy sight.
22All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is but the Father, and who the Father is but the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son is pleased to reveal [him].
Boro kulu si bay boro kaŋ no ga ti Izo kala day Baabo, wala mo i si bay boro kaŋ no ga ti Baabo kala day Izo nda boro kulu mo kaŋ se Izo miila nga m'a bangandi.»
23And having turned to the disciples privately he said, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see.
23 A bare nga talibey gaa ka guunu i se ka ne: «Albarkanteyaŋ no moy kaŋ yaŋ ga di haŋ kaŋ araŋ wo goono ga di.
24For I say to you that many prophets and kings have desired to see the things which ye behold, and did not see [them]; and to hear the things which ye hear, and did not hear [them].
25And behold, a certain lawyer stood up tempting him, and saying, Teacher, having done what, shall I inherit life eternal?
25 A go no mo kala Tawretu* bayko fo tun ka Yesu si. A ne: «Alfa, ifo no ay ga te hal ay ma fundi hal abada tubu?»
26And he said to him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
26 Nga mo ne a se: «Ifo no i hantum Tawreto ra? Ifo no ni caw?»
27But he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thine understanding; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28And he said to him, Thou hast answered right: this do and thou shalt live.
29But he, desirous of justifying himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
29 Amma nga wo, kaŋ a ga ba a ma nga boŋ adilandi*, a ne Yesu se: «May no ga ti ay gorokasin?»
30And Jesus replying said, A certain man descended from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into [the hands of] robbers, who also, having stripped him and inflicted wounds, went away leaving him in a half-dead state.
30 Yesu tu ka ne: «Boro fo go no kaŋ fun Urusalima ka do Yeriko kwaara. Kal a kaa ka kaŋ kosaraykoyaŋ game ra. Ngey mo n'a jinayey kulu ta a gaa, k'a kar ka gaahamo bagu-bagu. I dira k'a naŋ buuyaŋ da fundi game ra.
31And a certain priest happened to go down that way, and seeing him, passed on on the opposite side;
31 A kaa ka saba nda alfaga fo goono ga fonda din gana; kal a di bora din. A kamba ka bis'a gaa.
32and in like manner also a Levite, being at the spot, came and looked [at him] and passed on on the opposite side.
32 Yaadin no Lawiti* fo kaŋ nga mo to noodin; a di a ka kamba ka bisa.
33But a certain Samaritan journeying came to him, and seeing [him], was moved with compassion,
33 Amma Samariyance fo kaŋ go naaruyaŋ ra, waato kaŋ a to noodin, a di bora. Kal a bakaraw n'a di.
34and came up [to him] and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine; and having put him on his own beast, took him to [the] inn and took care of him.
34 A koy a do, a na ji da duvan* dooru a biyey boŋ k'i didiji. Waato kaŋ a na bora dake nga bumbo almano boŋ, a kond'a yaw fu fo do k'a saajaw.
35And on the morrow [as he left], taking out two denarii he gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, Take care of him, and whatsoever thou shalt expend more, *I* will render to thee on my coming back.
35 A suba mo a na jirbi hinka sufuray kaa ka no yaw fu koyo se ka ne: ‹Ni m'a saajaw. Hay kulu kaŋ ni ga wi ka bisa yaadin, d'ay ye ka kaa, kulu ay ga ni bana.›
36Which [now] of these three seems to thee to have been neighbour of him who fell into [the hands of] the robbers?
36 To. I boro hinza din game ra, may no ni ga tammahã ka ciya gorokasin bora din se kaŋ kubay da kosaraykoy?»
37And he said, He that shewed him mercy. And Jesus said to him, Go, and do *thou* likewise.
37 Nga mo ne: «E! Bora kaŋ te a se suuji.» Kala Yesu ne a se: «Ma koy, ni mo, ka te yaadin.»
38And it came to pass as they went that *he* entered into a certain village; and a certain woman, Martha by name, received him into her house.
38 Kaŋ i go fonda ra ga koy, a furo kawye fo ra. Wayboro fo kaŋ maa Marta n'a zumandi nga windo ra.
39And she had a sister called Mary, who also, having sat down at the feet of Jesus was listening to his word.
39 Kayne fo go a se kaŋ maa Maryama. A goro ganda Yesu jarga ka soobay ka hangan a sanney se.
40Now Martha was distracted with much serving, and coming up she said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Speak to her therefore that she may help me.
40 Amma Marta laakalo tun saajawo baayaŋ sabbay se. Kal a furo Yesu do ka ne: «Rabbi, ni baa si kaŋ ay kayno n'ay naŋ ay hinne da saajawo? Kala ma ci a se a ma kaa ka kambe daŋ ay se.»
41But Jesus answering said to her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things;
42but there is need of one, and Mary has chosen the good part, the which shall not be taken from her.
42 amma hari follonku no i ga laami. Maryama na baa hanna suuban kaŋ i s'a ta a gaa.»
