Luke

5

1And it came to pass, as the crowd pressed on him to hear the word of God, that he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret:
1 A go no, waato kaŋ borey marga goono ga kankam Yesu gaa, zama ngey ma maa Irikoy Sanno, kal a koy ka kay Janisarata teeko me gaa.
2and he saw two ships standing by the lake, but the fishermen, having come down from them, were washing their nets.
2 A di hi hinka go ga fandi teeko me. Day sorkey wo fatta hiyey ra, i goono ga taarey nyun.
3And getting into one of the ships, which was Simon's, he asked him to draw out a little from the land; and he sat down and taught the crowds out of the ship.
3 Yesu furo hi fo ra, kaŋ ga ti Siman wane, k'a ŋwaaray a ma fun jabo gaa kayna. Kal a goro hiyo ra ka borey marga dondonandi.
4But when he ceased speaking, he said to Simon, Draw out into the deep [water] and let down your nets for a haul.
4 Waato kaŋ a salaŋ ka ban, a ne Siman se: «Ma tuti ka koy naŋ kaŋ ga guusu, k'araŋ taarey zumandi zama araŋ ma du.»
5And Simon answering said to him, Master, having laboured through the whole night we have taken nothing, but at thy word I will let down the net.
6And having done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes. And their net broke.
6 Kaŋ a na woodin te, i na hamisa boobo di, hala taarey sintin ka kottu.
7And they beckoned to their partners who were in the other ship to come and help them, and they came, and filled both the ships, so that they were sinking.
7 I na ngey hangasiney ce, kaŋ yaŋ go hi fa din ra, i ma kaa ka ngey gaa. I kaa mo, ka hi hinka kulu toonandi hal i sintin ka miri.
8But Simon Peter, seeing it, fell at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord.
8 Kaŋ Siman Bitros di woodin, a sombu Yesu jine ka ne: «Ya Rabbi, ma fay d'ay, zama ay ya zunubikooni no.»
9For astonishment had laid hold on him, and on all those who were with him, at the haul of fishes which they had taken;
9 Zama dambara n'a di, nga nda borey kulu kaŋ yaŋ go a banda, hamisa kaŋ i du baayaŋo sabbay se.
10and in like manner also on James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Fear not; henceforth thou shalt be catching men.
10 Yaadin mo no Yakuba nda Yohanna, Zabadi izey kaŋ ga ti Siman hangasiney.
11And having run the ships on shore, leaving all they followed him.
11 Waato kaŋ i na hiyey fandi jabo gaa, i na hay kulu naŋ ka Yesu gana.
12And it came to pass as he was in one of the cities, that behold, there was a man full of leprosy, and seeing Jesus, falling upon his face, he besought him saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou art able to cleanse me.
12 A go no mo, waato kaŋ a go kwaara fo ra, kala boro fo go noodin kaŋ to nda jiraytaray. Kaŋ a di Yesu, a sombu ka ganda biri, k'a ŋwaaray ka ne: «Rabbi, da ni yadda, ni ga hin k'ay hanandi.»
13And stretching forth his hand he touched him, saying, I will; be thou cleansed: and immediately the leprosy departed from him.
13 Yesu na nga kamba salle k'a ham ka ne: «Ay yadda. Ni ma hanan.» Sahãadin-sahãadin jiraytara ban a gaa.
14And he enjoined him to tell no one; but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing as Moses ordained, for a testimony to them.
15But the report concerning him was spread abroad still more, and great crowds came together to hear, and to be healed from their infirmities.
15 Amma Yesu baaro baa ka tonton. Jama boobo soobay ka margu zama i ma maa, i ma du baani ngey doorey gaa mo.
16And *he* withdrew himself, and was about in the desert [places] and praying.
17And it came to pass on one of the days, that *he* was teaching, and there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who were come out of every village of Galilee and Judaea and [out of] Jerusalem; and [the] Lord's power was [there] to heal them.
17 A go mo, jirbey din ra han fo, kaŋ Yesu goono ga dondonandi, kala Farisi* fonda boroyaŋ nda asariya dondonandikoyaŋ go ga goro noodin. I kaa ka fun Galili kawye kulu ra, da Yahudiya laabo ra da Urusalima kwaara. Rabbi dabaro go Yesu boŋ baani nooyaŋ se mo.
18And lo, men bringing upon a couch a man who was paralysed; and they sought to bring him in, and put [him] before him.
18 Guna, alboro fooyaŋ na boro fo jare dima boŋ ka kand'a. Bora din, yeeni na dabey wi no. I go ga ceeci ngey ma furo nd'a k'a jisi Yesu jine.
19And not finding what way to bring him in, on account of the crowd, going up on the housetop they let him down through the tiles, with his little couch, into the midst before Jesus.
19 Kaŋ i mana du fondo ka furo nd'a borey marga baayaŋ sabbay se, kal i kaaru fuwo boŋ k'a zumandi beene fune fo ra, nga nda dima, hala bindo ra Yesu jine.
20And seeing their faith, he said, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
20 Waato kaŋ a di i cimbeero, Yesu ne: «Ay bora, ay na ni zunubey yaafa ni se.»
21And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason [in their minds], saying, Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who is able to forgive sins but God alone?
21 Asariya dondonandikoy da Farisi fonda borey sintin ka miila ngey biney ra ka ne: «May no boro wo kaŋ ga Irikoy kayna? May ka bara nda dabari kaŋ ga zunubi yaafa da manti Irikoy hinne?»
22But Jesus, knowing their reasonings, answering said to them, Why reason ye in your hearts?
22 Amma Yesu, za kaŋ a g'i biney miiley bay, tu i se ka ne: «Ifo se no araŋ goono ga miila woone te araŋ biney ra?
23which is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
23 Woofo no ga faala, ay ma ne: ‹Ay na ni zunubey yaafa ni se,› wala ay ma ne: ‹Tun ka dira?›
24But that ye may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, he said to the paralysed man, I say to thee, Arise, and take up thy little couch and go to thine house.
24 Amma, zama araŋ ma bay kaŋ Boro* Izo gonda dabari ndunnya ra nga ma zunubey yaafa» (gaa no a ne yeenikoono se): «Ay ga ne ni se: Ma tun ka ni daarijo sambu ka koy fu.»
25And immediately standing up before them, having taken up that whereon he was laid, he departed to his house, glorifying God.
25 Sahãadin mo a tun i jine ka daarijo kaŋ boŋ a kani din sambu ka soobay ka koy nga kwaara, a goono ga Irikoy beerandi.
26And astonishment seized all, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to-day.
26 Kala i kulu takooko, hal i na Irikoy beerandi. I humburu gumo ka ne: «Iri di hariyaŋ kaŋ n'iri boŋ haw hunkuna.»
27And after these things he went forth and saw a tax-gatherer, Levi by name, sitting at the receipt of taxes, and said to him, Follow me.
27 Woodin banda Yesu fatta. A di jangal taako fo kaŋ maa Lawi kaŋ goono ga goro jangal taayaŋ fuwo ra. Yesu ne a se: «M'ay gana.»
28And having left all, rising up, he followed him.
28 Nga mo na hari kulu naŋ ka tun k'a gana.
29And Levi made a great entertainment for him in his house, and there was a great crowd of tax-gatherers and others who were at table with them.
30And their scribes and the Pharisees murmured at his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with tax-gatherers and sinners?
31And Jesus answering said to them, They that are in sound health have not need of a physician, but those that are ill.
31 Amma Yesu tu ka ne i se: «Baanikooney si laami nda safarikoy, kala day doorikomey.
32I am not come to call righteous [persons], but sinful [ones] to repentance.
32 Manti adilantey ceeyaŋ se no ay kaa bo, amma zunubikooney se, i ma kaa tuubiyaŋ do.»
33And they said to him, Why do the disciples of John fast often and make supplications, in like manner those also of the Pharisees, but thine eat and drink?
Yaadin mo no Farisi fonda waney. Amma ni waney, i ga ŋwa, i ga haŋ.»
34And he said to them, Can ye make the sons of the bridechamber fast when the bridegroom is with them?
35But days will come when also the bridegroom will have been taken away from them; then shall they fast in those days.
35 Amma jirbiyaŋ ga kaa kaŋ i ga arhiijo kaa i game ra. Waato din gaa no i ga mehaw.»
36And he spoke also a parable to them: No one puts a piece of a new garment upon an old garment, otherwise he will both rend the new, and the piece which is from the new will not suit with the old.
36 Gaa no Yesu na misa fo ci i se ka ne: «Boro kulu si kwaay taji kottu k'a laafi kwaay zeeno gaa. Zama yaadin gaa, itajo ga kottu, itajo dumbaro mo si saba nda izeena.
37And no one puts new wine into old skins, otherwise the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be poured out, and the skins will be destroyed;
37 Woodin banda, boro kulu si reyzin* hari taji daŋ humbur zeeno yaŋ ra, zama yaadin gaa reyzin hari tajo ga humburey bagu, a ga mun mo. Humburey mo ga halaci.
38but new wine is to be put into new skins, and both are preserved.
38 Amma tilas boro ma reyzin hari taji daŋ humbur taji yaŋ ra.
39And no one having drunk old wine [straightway] wishes for new, for he says, The old is better.
39 Woodin banda, boro kulu si no kaŋ, d'a na reyzin hari zeena haŋ a ma ba itajo, zama a ga ne izeena ga kaan.»
