8

1And when he had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed him.
1 Kaŋ Yesu zumbu ka fun tondo boŋ, borey marga bambata n'a gana.
2And behold, a leper came up to [him] and did him homage, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou art able to cleanse me.
2 Kala jiraykooni fo kaa a do ka sombu a se ka ne: «Rabbi, da ni yadda, ni ga hin k'ay hanandi.»
3And he stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, I will; be cleansed. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
3 Yesu na nga kambe salle k'a ham ka ne: «Ay yadda. Ni ma hanan.» Sahãadin-sahãadin mo jiraytara ban a gaa.
4And Jesus says to him, See thou tell no man, but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift which Moses ordained, for a testimony to them.
Ma sarga kaŋ Musa lordi no mo, zama a ma te i se seeda.»
5And when he had entered into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, beseeching him,
5 Waato kaŋ Yesu furo Kafarnahum, kala sooje jine funa fo kaa a do. A goono g'a ŋwaaray
6and saying, Lord, my servant lies paralytic in the house, suffering grievously.
6 ka ne: «Ay jina bora, ay zanka fo kaŋ gonda yeeni goono ga kani fu, a goono ga gurzugay gumo.»
7And Jesus says to him, *I* will come and heal him.
7 Yesu ne a se: «Ay ga kaa k'a no baani.»
8And the centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not fit that thou shouldest enter under my roof; but only speak a word, and my servant shall be healed.
Day, ma salaŋ hinne, ay zanka mo ga du baani.
9For *I* also am a man under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say to this [one], Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my bondman, Do this, and he does it.
9 Zama ay mo, boro fo dabari ra no ay go, soojeyaŋ go ay bumbo dabaro ra mo. Ay ga ne woone se: ‹Koy!› -- kal a ma koy. Ay ga ne afo se: ‹Kaa!› -- kal a ma kaa. Ay ga ne ay bannya se: ‹Ma te woone!› -- kal a m'a te.»
10And when Jesus heard it, he wondered, and said to those who followed, Verily I say unto you, Not even in Israel have I found so great faith.
10 Waato kaŋ Yesu maa woodin, a dambara. A ne nga banda borey se: «Haciika ay ga ci araŋ se, ay mana di cimbeeri* gaabikooni sanda woone cine, baa Israyla ra.
11But I say unto you, that many shall come from [the] rising and setting [sun], and shall lie down at table with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens;
12but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
12 Amma koytara izey, i g'i catu taray kubay bi ra. Noodin no i ga hẽ ka hinjey kanji.»
13And Jesus said to the centurion, Go, and as thou hast believed, be it to thee. And his servant was healed in that hour.
A zanka mo du baani saaya din ra.
14And when Jesus had come to Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law laid down and in a fever;
14 Waato kaŋ Yesu furo Bitros kwaara, a di a anzuray waybora goono ga kani nda konni.
15and he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she arose and served him.
15 Yesu n'a kamba ham, konno mo n'a taŋ. Gaa no waybora tun k'a saajaw.
16And when the evening was come, they brought to him many possessed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were ill;
16 Kaŋ wiciri kambo to, i kand'a se follaykoy boobo. Me sanni mo no a na ganjey gaaray d'a, a na jantekomey kulu no baani mo.
17so that that should be fulfilled which was spoken through Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases.
17 Zama i ma sanno toonandi kaŋ i ci annabi Isaya me ra, kaŋ ne: «Nga bumbo n'iri londibuunay ta, a n'iri doorey sambu mo.»
18And Jesus, seeing great crowds around him, commanded to depart to the other side.
18 Waato kaŋ Yesu di borey marga go nga banda, a lordi ka ne i ma daŋandi ka koy ya-haray kambo gaa.
19And a scribe came up and said to him, Teacher, I will follow thee whithersoever thou mayest go.
20And Jesus says to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven roosting-places; but the Son of man has not where he may lay his head.
20 Yesu mo ne a se: «Zoŋey gonda guusuyaŋ, beene curey mo gonda fitiyaŋ, amma Boro* Izo sinda nangu kaŋ a ga nga boŋo dake.»
21But another of his disciples said to him, Lord, suffer me first to go away and bury my father.
21 Talibey ra afo mo ne a se: «Rabbi, ma yadda ay se ay ma koy k'ay baaba fiji jina.»
22But Jesus said to him, Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.
23And he went on board ship and his disciples followed him;
23 Alwaato kaŋ a furo hiyo ra, a talibey n'a gana.
24and behold, [the water] became very agitated on the sea, so that the ship was covered by the waves; but *he* slept.
24 Kala hari haw bambata fo tun k'i gar teeko ra, k'i daabu nda hari bondayyaŋ, amma Yesu wo goono ga jirbi.
25And the disciples came and awoke him, saying, Lord save: we perish.
25 I kaa a do k'a tunandi ka ne: «Rabbi, iri faaba! Iri ga ba ka halaci!»
26And he says to them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then, having arisen, he rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
Gaa no a tun ka deeni hawo da teeko gaa. Kal i kulu dangay ka kay, tak!
27But the men were astonished, saying, What sort [of man] is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?
27 Kala borey dambara ka ne: «Day, boro woofo dumi no woone, kaŋ baa haw nda teeko goono ga maa a sanney se?»
28And there met him, when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, two possessed by demons, coming out of the tombs, exceeding dangerous, so that no one was able to pass by that way.
28 Waato kaŋ a kaa ya-haray kambo gaa Gadarancey laabo ra, kala follokom hinka kuband'a, i goono ga fun saarayey ra.
29And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Son of God? hast thou come here before the time to torment us?
30Now there was, a great way off from them, a herd of many swine feeding;
30 Gursuna* kuru bambata fo goono ga kuru i se nangu mooro.
31and the demons besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, send us away into the herd of swine.
32And he said to them, Go. And they, going out, departed into the herd of swine; and lo, the whole herd [of swine] rushed down the steep slope into the sea, and died in the waters.
32 A ne i se: «Wa koy!» Waato kaŋ i fun, i kulu koy ka furo gursuney ra. Kuro kulu te nyagas ka do teeko ra, ka bu haro ra.
33But they that fed them fled, and went away into the city and related everything, and what had happened as to those possessed by demons.
34And behold, the whole city went out to meet Jesus; and when they saw him, they begged [him] to go away out of their coasts.
34 Kala kwaara kulu fun taray ka Yesu kubay. Waato kaŋ i di a mo, i n'a ŋwaaray ka ne a ma fun ngey laabo ra.
