1And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.
1 Hẽeni konno binde naan ka tun jama d'i wandey ra, i nya-izey Yahudancey sabbay se.
2And there were that said, We, our sons and our daughters, are many, and we must procure corn that we may eat and live.
2 Zama afooyaŋ go no kaŋ ga ne: «Iri nda iri ize alborey nda wayborey, iri ga baa. Naŋ iri ma du ntaaso ka ŋwa zama iri ma funa.»
3And there were that said, We have had to pledge our fields, and our vineyards, and our houses, that we might procure corn in the dearth.
3 Noodin afooyaŋ mo ne: «Iri goono ga garaw sambu iri farey nda iri reyzin* kaley nda iri windey boŋ mo, zama iri ma du ntaaso hara wo sabbay se.»
4And there were that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute upon our fields and vineyards;
4 Afooyaŋ mo ne: «Iri na nooru garaw sambu zama iri ma koy ka bonkoono jangalo bana iri farey d'iri reyzin* kaley boŋ.
5yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children; and behold, we must bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought into bondage [already]; neither is it in the power of our hand [to redeem them], for other men have our fields and our vineyards.
5 Amma sohõ iri hamey ga hima iri nya-izey hamey, iri izey mo sanda i waney cine. A go mo iri go g'iri izey daŋ tamtaray ra. Iri ize wayey ma ciya koŋŋoyaŋ, iri ize way fooyaŋ mo, i jin k'i daŋ tamtaray. Iri sinda hina mo kaŋ ga gaakasinay te, zama boro fooyaŋ n'iri farey d'iri reyzin kaley ta.»
6And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.
6 Ay mo, waato kaŋ ay maa i hẽeno d'i sanney din, ay futu gumo.
7And I consulted with myself; and I remonstrated with the nobles and the rulers, and said to them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother! And I set a great assembly against them.
8And I said to them, We, according to our ability, have redeemed our brethren the Jews, who were sold to the nations; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? And they were silent and found no answer.
8 Ay ne i se: «Iri ya day, iri hino me ga ti iri m'iri nya-ize Yahudancey fansa, ngey kaŋ yaŋ i neera ndunnya dumi cindey se. Araŋ binde, a to araŋ se naŋ kaŋ araŋ g'araŋ nya-izey neera. Hala i m'i neera iri mo se?» Waato din gaa i dangay siw! I jaŋ sanni kaŋ i ga ci.
9And I said, The thing that ye do is not good. Ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God, so as not to be the reproach of the nations our enemies?
9 Koyne, ay ye ka ne: «Hayo wo kaŋ araŋ goono ga te, a si boori! Manti haŋ kaŋ ga hima nd'a araŋ se no ga ti araŋ ma taamu iri Irikoyo humburkumay ra, ndunnya dumi cindey kaŋ ga ti iri ibarey wowo sabbay se bo?
10I also, my brethren and my servants, we might exact usury of them, money and corn. I pray you, let us leave off this usury.
10 Hala nd'ay bumbo, d'ay nya-izey, d'ay zankey, iri go ga nooru da ntaaso garaw daŋ i gaa. Ay g'araŋ ŋwaaray, iri ma fay nda nooru nda hari wo sanni!
11Restore, I pray you, to them this very day their fields, their vineyards, their olive-gardens, and their houses, also the hundredth [part] of the money, and of the corn, the wine and the oil, that ye have exacted of them.
11 Ay g'araŋ ŋwaaray, hunkuna araŋ m'i farey yeti i se, d'i reyzin d'i zeytun* kaley, d'i windey, d'i noorey zangu ra kanandi fo, da ntaaso wane, da reyzin hari da ji waney, kaŋ araŋ goono g'i zamba nd'a.»
12And they said, We will restore [them], and will require nothing of them; so will we do, as thou hast said. And I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise.
12 Gaa no i ne: «Iri g'i ye i se, iri si hay kulu ceeci i gaa mo. Danga mate kaŋ cine ni ci din, yaadin no iri mo ga te.» Noodin binde ay na alfagey ce k'i daŋ zeyaŋ, i ma goy alkawli woodin boŋ.
13Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house and from his earnings, that performeth not this promise: even thus be he shaken out and emptied! And all the congregation said, Amen! And they praised Jehovah. And the people did according to this promise.
13 Ay n'ay kwaayo mo kokobe ka ne: «Irikoy ma boro fo kulu kokobe ka kaa nga windo nda nga goyo ra mo, boro kaŋ wangu ka alkawlo wo toonandi; i m'a koy kokobe ka dooru ya-cine!» Jama kulu ne: «Amin!» I na Rabbi sifayaŋ te mo. Borey goy mo alkawli woodin boŋ.
14Moreover from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year even to the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes the king, twelve years, I and my brethren have not eaten the bread of the governor.
14 A go mo, jirbey kaŋ ra i n'ay daŋ ya ciya ngey mayko noodin Yahuda laabo ra, za bonkoono Artasersiz jiiri warankanta ka koy hala jiiri waranza cindi hinkanta, sanda jiiri way cindi hinka nooya, in d'ay nya-izey, iri mana hini ŋwaari kulu ŋwa.
15But the former governors that were before me had been chargeable to the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver: even their servants bore rule over the people. But I did not so, because of the fear of God.
15 Amma mayraykoyey kaŋ yaŋ n'ay jin, ngey wo kay, i na talkey tiŋandi. I na buuru nda duvan ta, nzarfu sekel* waytaaci me, hal i zankey mo ga hin cabe talkey se. Amma ay wo, manti yaadin no ay te, Irikoy humburkumay sabbay se.
16Yea, also I applied myself to this work of the wall, and we bought no fields; and all my servants were gathered thither for the work.
16 Oho mo, hala ay kookari birni cinaro din goyo ra. Iri mana fari day mo, baa kayna fo. Ay zankey kulu mo ga margu goyo do.
17And there were at my table a hundred and fifty of the Jews and the rulers, besides those that came to us from among the nations that were about us.
17 Woodin banda, ay taablo do gonda boro zangu nda waygu Yahudancey nda mayraykoyey do haray wane yaŋ, kaŋ waana borey kaŋ yaŋ kaa ay do ka fun dumi cindey ra kaŋ yaŋ goono g'iri windi.
18And that which was prepared daily was one ox [and] six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for me, and once in ten days all sorts of wine in abundance. Yet for all this I demanded not the bread of the governor; for the service was heavy upon this people.
18 Ham kaŋ i ga soola zaari fo ra, yeeji fo no, da feeji iddu kaŋ i kuru hal i naasu. Ay mo curoyaŋ no i ga hanse ay se. Jirbi way nda care game kulu mo, sorro folloŋ no i ga kande duvan kulu dumi kaŋ ga yulwa. Amma kulu nda yaadin, ay mana ŋwaaray i m'ay no hini ŋwaari kulu, zama tamtara go ga borey din taabandi.
19Remember for me, my God, for good, all that I have done for this people.
19 Ya ay Irikoyo, ma fongu ay gaa ka boriyandi ay se da hay kulu kaŋ ay te dumo wo sabbay se.
