1Why, Jehovah, standest thou afar off? [Why] hidest thou thyself in times of distress?
2The wicked, in his pride, doth hotly pursue the afflicted. They shall be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
2 Laalakoyey boŋbeera ra i ga taabante ce kondo ŋwa da waasi. Naŋ i m'i di i me-hawyaŋo kaŋ i saaware din ra.
3For the wicked boasteth of his soul's desire, and he blesseth the covetous; he contemneth Jehovah.
3 Zama laalakoy ga niine jare no nga bina ra bina biniya boŋ, Boro kaŋ ga canse sifa no, kaŋ ga donda Rabbi mo.
4The wicked [saith], in the haughtiness of his countenance, He doth not search out: all his thoughts are, There is no God!
A fonguyaŋ kulu si kala noodin, a ma ne way: «Irikoy si no.»
5His ways always succeed; thy judgments are far above out of his sight; [as for] all his adversaries, he puffeth at them.
5 A muraadey go ga feeri waati kulu. Ni ciitey mooru a se beene hal a si du k'i fonnay. A yanjekaarey kulu, a ga me nyatte i gaa no.
6He saith in his heart, I shall not be moved; from generation to generation I shall be in no adversity.
6 A ga ne nga bina ra: «I si hin k'ay zinji me!
7His mouth is full of cursing, and deceit, and oppression; under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
7 A meyo to da laaliyaŋ da gulinci da kankami. Zamba nda laala go a deena boŋ.
8He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; in the secret places doth he slay the innocent: his eyes watch for the wretched.
8 Kwaara kambey ra gumyaŋ nangey ra no a ga nga goray te, Tuguyaŋ nangu ra a ga borey kaŋ yaŋ sinda taali wi, A goono ga mo cale daŋ ka gazantey guna.
9He lieth in wait secretly, like a lion in his thicket; he lieth in wait to catch the afflicted: he doth catch the afflicted, drawing him into his net.
9 A go ga lamba tuguyaŋ do sanda muusu beeri go nga guuso ra, A goono ga gum zama nga ma taabante di se, A ga taabante di waati kaŋ a n'a zorti nga asuuta ra.
10He croucheth, he boweth down, that the wretched may fall by his strong ones.
10 A gungum, a taŋ ka gum, a ce camsey ga gazantey zeeri.
11He saith in his heart, ùGod hath forgotten, he hideth his face, he will never see [it].
11 Nga bine ra a ga ne: «Irikoy dinya, A na nga moyduma tugu, a si di hal abada.»
12Arise, Jehovah; O ùGod, lift up thy hand: forget not the afflicted.
12 Ya Rabbi, ma tun. Ya Irikoy, ma ni kamba sambu. Ma si dinya taabantey gaa.
13Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? He hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require [it].
13 Ifo se no laalakoy ga donda Irikoy, Hala nga bina ra a ga ne: «Ni s'ay hã d'a.»?
14Thou hast seen [it], for thou thyself beholdest trouble and vexation, to requite by thy hand. The wretched committeth himself unto thee; thou hast been the helper of the fatherless.
Ni do no gazante ga nga boŋ talfi. Nin no ga ti alatuumey gaako.
15Break thou the arm of the wicked, and as for the evil man, seek out his wickedness [till] thou find none.
16Jehovah is King for ever and ever: the nations have perished out of his land.
16 Rabbi wo Koy no hal abada abadin. Dumi cindey halaci a laabo ra.
17Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek, thou hast established their heart: thou causest thine ear to hear,
17 Ya Rabbi, ni maa taabantey muraadey se. Ni g'i biney gaabandi, Ni ga ni hanga jeeri mo hala ni ma maa.
18To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed one, that the man of the earth may terrify no more.
