1Bless Jehovah, O my soul! Jehovah my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with majesty and splendour;
2Covering thyself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent-curtain; --
2 Nin kaŋ goono ga ni boŋ daabu nda hananyaŋ sanda bankaaray cine, Ni goono ga beeney daaru sanda kosandi taafe cine.
3Who layeth the beams of his upper chambers in the waters, who maketh clouds his chariot, who walketh upon the wings of the wind;
3 A na nga jidan bisey ganjey sinji harey ra, A na burey ciya nga torka, A ga dira haw fatayaŋ boŋ.
4Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flame of fire.
4 A ga nga malaykey te haw faaruyaŋ. A ga nga goy-teerey mo te danji beele.
5He laid the earth upon its foundations: it shall not be removed for ever.
6Thou hadst covered it with the deep, as with a vesture; the waters stood above the mountains:
6 Ni n'a daabu nda teeku guusuyaŋ sanda taafe cine, Harey kay tondi kuukey boŋ.
7At thy rebuke they fled, at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away; --
7 Kaŋ i maa ni deeniyaŋo i zuru, Kaŋ i maa ni kaatiyaŋ jinda i te nyagas! da zuray.
8The mountains rose, the valleys sank, unto the place which thou hadst founded for them; --
8 Tondi kuukey tun, Goorey mo ye ganda ka koy hala nango kaŋ ni daŋ i se.
9Thou hast set a bound which they may not pass over, that they turn not again to cover the earth.
9 Ni na hirri daŋ teeku harey se kaŋ ga naŋ i ma si daaru ka bisa, Zama i ma si ye ka kaa ka laabo daabu.
10He sendeth the springs into the valleys: they run among the mountains;
10 A na hari-moy donton i ma koy gooro ra, I ga zuru tondi nda tondi game ra,
11They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst.
11 I ga ganji ham kulu haŋandi, Ganji farkayey goono ga haŋ ka ngey jaw kaa.
12The birds of heaven dwell by them; they give forth their voice from among the branches.
12 I jarga mo beene curey ga goro, I goono ga hẽ tuuri kambey boŋ.
13He watereth the mountains from his upper-chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
13 Rabbi ga hari kaa nga jidan bisey kaŋ go beene ra ka gusam tondey boŋ. Ndunnya kungu nd'a goyey nafa.
14He maketh the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; bringing forth bread out of the earth,
15And wine which gladdeneth the heart of man; making [his] face shine with oil; and with bread he strengtheneth man's heart.
15 Da duvan* kaŋ ga naŋ boro bine ma kaan, Da ji kaŋ ga naŋ a moyduma ma nyaale, Da ŋwaari kaŋ ga boro bine gaabandi.
16The trees of Jehovah are satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted,
16 Rabbi tuuri-nyaŋey ga haŋ ka yeesi, Liban ra sedrey* nooya, kaŋ yaŋ a tilam,
17Where the birds make their nests; [as for] the stork, the fir trees are her house.
17 Nangey kaŋ curayzey ga ngey fitey te. Waaliya mo, sipres* tuurey no ga ti a kwaara.
18The high mountains are for the wild goats; the cliffs, a refuge for the rock-badgers.
18 Tondi kuukey mo, tondi boŋ hinciney wane no, Tondey zullanta mo, tondi boŋ hansey tuguyaŋ do no.
19He made the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth its going down.
20Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth:
20 Ni ga kubay te a ma ciya mo cin, Alwaati kaŋ cine ganji hamey kulu ga fun taray moso-moso.
21The young lions roar after the prey, and to seek their food from ùGod.
21 Muusu beeri izey goono ga korro ngey hamey banda, I goono ga ngey ŋwaaro ceeci Irikoy gaa.
22The sun ariseth, they retreat, and lay them down in their dens.
22 Wayna fattanta ngey mo ga koy lamba, Ka kani ngey tuguyaŋ guusey ra.
23Man goeth forth unto his work, and to his labour until the evening.
24How manifold are thy works, O Jehovah! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
24 Ya Rabbi, man ni goyey baayaŋ misa! Laakal no ni n'i kulu te d'a. Ndunnya go toonante da ni takaharey.
25Yonder is the great and wide sea: therein are moving things innumerable, living creatures small and great.
25 Yongo teeko nooya, kaŋ ga beeri, a ga tafay mo, Naŋ kaŋ baafuney kaŋ si kabu bara, Hari hamey, ikayney da ibeerey.
26There go the ships; [there] that leviathan, which thou hast formed to play therein.
26 Noodin no hiyey ga dira, Noodin mo no Lebiyatan* go, Nga kaŋ ni taka zama a ma fooru haro ra.
27These all look unto thee, that thou mayest give their food in its season:
27 Woodin yaŋ kulu goono ga ni hangan, Ni m'i no ngey ŋwaarey i alwaatey ra.
28That thou givest unto them, they gather; thou openest thy hand, they are filled with good.
28 I ga haŋ kaŋ ni g'i no margu-margu, Ni ga ni kambe fiti, ngey mo ga kungu nda gomni.
29Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their breath, they expire and return to their dust.
29 Ni ga ni moyduma tugu, i boŋ ga haw. Ni ga i biyey kaa, I ga bu ka ye ka te ngey laabu zeena koyne.
30Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created, and thou renewest the face of the earth.
30 Ni ga ni Biya donton, ngey mo ga taka, Ni ga laabo alhaalo tajandi.
31The glory of Jehovah will endure for ever; Jehovah will rejoice in his works.
31 Rabbi darza ma goro hal abada. Rabbi ma farhã nga goyey ra.
32He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; he toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.
33I will sing unto Jehovah as long as I live; I will sing psalms to my God while I have my being.
33 Ay ga baytu Rabbi se ay fundo me-a-me, Ay g'ay Irikoyo sifa ay goonoyaŋ kulu ra.
34My meditation shall be pleasant unto him; I will rejoice in Jehovah.
34 Ay fonguyaŋey ma ciya haŋ kaŋ ga kaan a se, Ay mo, ay ga farhã Rabbi ra.
35Sinners shall be consumed out of the earth, and the wicked shall be no more. Bless Jehovah, O my soul. Hallelujah!
35 Zunubi teekoy ma ban ndunnya ra. Laalakoyey mo ma si ye ka bara. Ya ay fundo, ma Rabbi sifa! Alleluya!
