Psalms

109

1{To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm.} O God of my praise, be not silent:
1 Doonkoy jine bora se. Dawda baytu fo no. Ya ay sifawo Irikoyo, ma si dangay!
2For the mouth of the wicked [man] and the mouth of deceit are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue,
2 Zama i na me laalo kaŋ gonda gulinci fiti ay gaa, I salaŋ ka gaaba nda ay da deene tangarikom.
3And with words of hatred have they encompassed me; and they fight against me without a cause.
4For my love they are mine adversaries; but I [give myself unto] prayer.
4 Baakasina kaŋ ay te nango ra no i ciya ay se kalimakoyaŋ, Amma ay wo go adduwa gaa.
5And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
5 I n'ay booriyaŋo bana ay se da laala, I n'ay baakasina mo bana nda konnari.
6Set a wicked [man] over him, and let [the] adversary stand at his right hand;
6 Ma boro laalo sinji a boŋ, Naŋ ibare ma kay a kambe ŋwaaro gaa.
7When he shall be judged, let him go out guilty, and let his prayer become sin;
7 Waati kaŋ i ga ciiti a se, i ma taali dake a boŋ, A adduwa mo ma bare ka ciya zunubi.
8Let his days be few, let another take his office;
8 Naŋ a jirbey ma dunguriya, Boro fo mo m'a goyo sambu.
9Let his sons be fatherless, and his wife a widow;
9 Naŋ a izey ma ciya alatuumiyaŋ, A wando mo ma ciya boro kaŋ kurnyo bu.
10Let his sons be vagabonds and beg, and let them seek [their bread] far from their desolate places;
11Let the usurer cast the net over all that he hath, and let strangers despoil his labour;
11 Naŋ gar-hãako ma hay kulu kaŋ go a se sambu, Yawyaŋ mo ma hay kulu kaŋ a du nga taabo ra ku wongu arzaka.
12Let there be none to extend kindness unto him, neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children;
12 I ma si du boro kulu kaŋ ga suuji cabe a se, I ma si du boro kaŋ ga bakar a alatuumey se.
13Let his posterity be cut off; in the generation following let their name be blotted out:
13 Naŋ a banda ma alandaaba, Zamana kaŋ ga tun ka kaa ra mo, a maa ma tuusu.
14Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with Jehovah, and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out;
15Let them be before Jehovah continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth:
15 Naŋ i ma goro Rabbi jine duumi, Zama a ma baa i fonguyaŋo tuusu ndunnya ra.
16Because he remembered not to shew kindness, but persecuted the afflicted and needy man, and the broken in heart, to slay him.
16 Zama a mana fongu nga ma baakasinay suuji cabe, Amma a na talka nda alfukaaru nda bine-saray-koy gurzugandi, nga m'i wi se.
17And he loved cursing; so let it come unto him. And he delighted not in blessing; and let it be far from him.
18And he clothed himself with cursing like his vestment; so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones;
A binde ma furo a gunda teelo ra sanda hari cine, Da sanda ji cine mo a biriyey ra.
19Let it be unto him as a garment with which he covereth himself, and for a girdle wherewith he is constantly girded.
19 Naŋ woodin ma ciya a se daabiri kaŋ a ga nga boŋ daabu nd'a, Da guddama mo kaŋ a ga nga canta haw d'a duumi.
20Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from Jehovah, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
20 Ay kalimakoy da wo kaŋ yaŋ goono g'ay fundo laali mo, I banandi kaŋ ga fun Rabbi do nooya.
21But do *thou* for me, Jehovah, Lord, for thy name's sake; because thy loving-kindness is good, deliver me:
21 Amma nin, ya Rabbi, Koy Beero, Ni ma gomni te ay se, ni maa sabbay se. M'ay faaba mo, Zama ni baakasinay suujo ga boori.
22For I am afflicted and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
22 Zama ay ya taabante no, kaŋ go moori ra, I n'ay bina mo maray ay ra.
23I am gone like a shadow when it lengtheneth; I am tossed about like the locust;
23 Ay ban sanda biya kaŋ salle, I n'ay kokobe sanda do cine.
24My knees are failing through fasting, and my flesh hath lost its fatness;
25And I am become a reproach unto them; [when] they look upon me they shake their heads.
25 Ay ciya wowi hari i do. Waati kaŋ i ga di ay, i ga ngey boŋey zinji.
26Help me, Jehovah my God; save me according to thy loving-kindness:
26 Ya Rabbi Irikoy, m'ay gaa. m'ay faaba ni baakasinay suujo boŋ.
27That they may know that this is thy hand; that *thou*, Jehovah, hast done it.
27 Zama borey ma du ka bay kaŋ woodin ni kambe no, Ya Rabbi, nin no k'a te.
28Let *them* curse, but bless *thou*; when they rise up, let them be ashamed, and let thy servant rejoice.
28 I ma soobay ka laali, amma nin wo ma albarka daŋ. Waati kaŋ i tun, i ga haaw, Amma ay, ni tamo ga maa kaani.
29Let mine adversaries be clothed with confusion, and let them cover themselves with their shame as with a mantle.
29 Naŋ i m'ay ibarey daabu nda kayna danga bankaaray cine, I ma ngey boŋ daabu nda ngey haawo sanda alkuba cine.
30I will greatly celebrate Jehovah with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.
30 Ay ga saabuyaŋ boobo te Rabbi se d'ay meyo, Oho, ay g'a sifaw te jama ra.
31For he standeth at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those that judge his soul.
31 Zama a ga kay moori ra goroko kambe ŋwaari gaa, Zama a m'a faaba boro kaŋ goono g'a fundo ciiti kambe ra.
