Psalms

12

1{To the chief Musician. Upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David.} Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men.
1 Doonkoy jine bora se. I m'a doon da moolo hamni ahakkukoy karyaŋ. Dawda wane no.
2They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour: [with] flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak.
2 Ya Rabbi, ma gaakasinay te, Zama hanante si no koyne, Naanaykoy si no mo Adam-izey ra.
3Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things,
3 I afo kulu, tangari no a ga hawa nga gorokasin gaa da tangari sifaw me-kuuruyaŋ, Bine hinka mo no a ga salaŋ d'a.
4Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who [is] lord over us?
4 Tangari sifaw me-kuurey kulu da deeney kaŋ ga sanni yaamo beeriyaŋ te, Rabbi m'i dangandi.
5Because of the oppression of the afflicted, because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Jehovah, I will set [him] in safety, at whom they puff.
5 Ngey no ka ne: «Iri deeney no iri ga te zaama nd'a. Iri me-kuurey iri bumbey wane yaŋ no. May ga ti jine boro iri boŋ?»
6The words of Jehovah are pure words, silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times.
6 Yaa no Rabbi ci: «Ay ga tun sohõ, Taabantey kankamo da laamikoyey durayyaŋey sabbay se, Ay m'i daŋ baani kaŋ i go ga ceeci ra.»
7Thou, Jehovah, wilt keep them, thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.
7 Rabbi me sanney ya sanni hananteyaŋ no, Sanda nzarfu kaŋ i gosi guuru hinayaŋ sintilo ra cine, Wo kaŋ i hanandi hala sorro iyye.
8The wicked walk about on every side, when vileness is exalted among the children of men.
8 Ya Rabbi, nin no g'i batu, Ni g'i haggoy k'i wa da zamana wo dumi borey hal abada.
9 D'i na kazaamataray beerandi Adam-izey ra, Boro laaley ga zankam no nangu kulu.
