124

1{A Song of degrees. Of David.} If it had not been Jehovah who was for us -- oh let Israel say --
1 Zijiyaŋ dooni no. Dawda wane no. Israyla ma ne: «Da manti kaŋ Rabbi go iri do haray,
2If it had not been Jehovah who was for us, when men rose up against us,
2 Da manti kaŋ Rabbi go iri do haray waato kaŋ cine borey tun iri gaa,
3Then they had swallowed us up alive, when their anger was kindled against us;
3 Doŋ i n'iri gon da fundi, Waato kaŋ cine i futa koroŋ iri gaa.
4Then the waters had overwhelmed us, a torrent had gone over our soul;
4 Doŋ haro n'iri yoole, Gooru ma gana iri fundey boŋ mo.
5Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
5 Doŋ harey kaŋ ga futu ga gana iri fundey boŋ.»
6Blessed be Jehovah, who gave us not up a prey to their teeth!
6 Iri ma Rabbi sifa, Nga kaŋ mana iri nooyandi i hinjey se i m'iri ŋwa.
7Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we have escaped.
7 Iri fundey koma sanda curo kaŋ du ka fun kol'izeyaŋ hirrimi ra. Hirrimo pati, iri mo du ka koma.
8Our help is in the name of Jehovah, the maker of heavens and earth.
8 Iri gaakasinay go Rabbi maa do haray, Nga kaŋ na beene nda ganda te.
