¹{A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, hear my prayer; give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, in thy righteousness.

¹ Dawda baytu fo no. Ya Rabbi, ma maa ay adduwa. Ma hanga jeeri ay ŋwaarayyaŋey se. Ma tu ay se ni naanayo da ni adilitara ra.

²And enter not into judgment with thy servant; for in thy sight no man living shall be justified.

² Ma si kond'ay, ni tamo, ciiti do, Zama ni jine fundikooni si no kaŋ gonda adilitaray.

³For the enemy persecuteth my soul: he hath crushed my life down to the earth; he hath made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.

³ Zama ibara n'ay fundo gurzugandi, A n'ay fundo musay kala ganda. A n'ay gorandi kubay nangey ra, Sanda borey kaŋ yaŋ gay ka bu.

⁴And my spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.

⁴ Woodin sabbay se no ay biya kasam ay ra, Ay bina mo goono ga dusu ay ganda ra.

⁵I remember the days of old: I meditate on all thy doing; I muse on the work of thy hands.

⁵ Ay go ga fongu waato jirbey, Ay goono ga fongu-fongu nda ni te-goyey kulu, Ay goono ga laakal da ni kambe goyey.

⁶I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul, as a parched land, [thirsteth] after thee. Selah.

⁶ Ay g'ay kambey salle ni do haray, Ay fundo mo gonda ni jaw, sanda laabu kogo cine. (Wa dangay)

⁷Answer me speedily, O Jehovah; my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, or I shall be like unto them that go down into the pit.

⁷ Ya Rabbi, ma cahã ka tu ay se. Ay biya londi kulu bu. Ma si ni moyduma tugu ay se, Zama ay ma si ciya sanda borey kaŋ yaŋ ga zumbu ka do guusu ra.

⁸Cause me to hear thy loving-kindness in the morning, for in thee do I confide; make me to know the way wherein I should walk, for unto thee do I lift up my soul.

⁸ Ma naŋ ay ma maa ni baakasinay suujo baaru susubay, Zama ni gaa no ay ga de. Ma naŋ ya bay fondo kaŋ no ay ga hima ka gana, Zama ni do no ay bina goono ga ye.

⁹Deliver me, O Jehovah, from mine enemies: unto thee do I flee for refuge.

⁹ Ya Irikoy, m'ay faaba k'ay kaa ay ibarey kambe ra. Ay go ga koru ni do.

¹⁰Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: let thy good Spirit lead me in a plain country.

¹⁰ M'ay dondonandi ya ni miila te, Zama nin no ga ti ay Irikoyo. Ni Biya booriyankoyo m'ay candi fondo kayante ra.

¹¹Revive me, O Jehovah, for thy name's sake; in thy righteousness bring my soul out of trouble;

¹¹ Ya Rabbi, m'ay funandi ni maa sabbay se, M'ay fundo kaa taabi ra ni adilitara ra.

¹²And in thy loving-kindness cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that oppress my soul: for I am thy servant.

¹² M'ay ibarey pati ka kaa ni baakasinay suujo ra, Borey kulu kaŋ yaŋ g'ay fundo kankam, ni m'i halaci, Zama ay ya ni tam no.
