1{[A Psalm] of David.} Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, and be not envious of them that work unrighteousness;
2for they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and fade as the green herb.
2 Zama i g'i dumbu da waasi sanda subu cine. I ma lakaw mo sanda kobto tayo.
3Confide in Jehovah, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on faithfulness;
4and delight thyself in Jehovah, and he will give thee the desires of thy heart.
5Commit thy way unto Jehovah, and rely upon him: he will bring [it] to pass;
5 Ma ni fundo daŋ Rabbi kambe ra, Ma de a gaa, nga mo ga goy.
6and he will bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
6 A ga naŋ ni adilitara ma bangay sanda annura cine, Ni cimo mo sanda zaari bindi cine.
7Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him that prospereth in his way, because of the man that bringeth mischievous devices to pass.
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; fret not thyself: it [would be] only to do evil.
9For evil-doers shall be cut off; but those that wait on Jehovah, they shall possess the land.
9 Zama Irikoy ga laala goykoyey halaci, Amma borey kaŋ yaŋ ga hangan Rabbi se, Ngey no ga laabo tubu.
10For yet a little while, and the wicked is not; and thou considerest his place, but he is not.
10 Zama d'a gay kayna, kulu laalakoy si no. Daahir, anniya no ni g'a nangora guna nd'a, A si ye ka bara noodin mo.
11But the meek shall possess the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of prosperity.
11 Amma borey kaŋ yaŋ sinda boŋbeeray ga laabo tubu, I ga ngey biney kaanandi mo baani yulwanta ra.
12The wicked plotteth against the righteous, and gnasheth his teeth against him.
12 Boro laalo ga me-hawyaŋ te adilante boŋ, A ga hinje kaama a se mo.
13The Lord laugheth at him; for he seeth that his day is coming.
13 Amma Koy Beero g'a haaru, Zama a di kaŋ a alwaato goono ga kaa.
14The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the afflicted and needy, to slay those that are upright in [the] way:
14 Laalakoyey na takuba foobu, i na haw daŋ biraw ra zama ngey ma taabante da laamikoy zeeri, Ngey ma fonda ra cimikoyey halaci.
15their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
15 I takubey ga furo ngey bumbey biney ra, I birawey mo ga ceeri-ceeri.
16The little that the righteous hath is better than the abundance of many wicked;
16 Dambe hari kayna kaŋ go adilante se, A ga bisa arzaka gusam kaŋ go laalakoy boobo se.
17for the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Jehovah upholdeth the righteous.
17 Zama laalakoyey kambey ga ceeri-ceeri, Amma Rabbi ga adilante gaabandi.
18Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect; and their inheritance shall be for ever:
18 Rabbi ga cimi-toonante-koyey jirbey bay, I tubo mo tabbatante no hal abada.
19they shall not be ashamed in the time of evil, and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
19 I si haaw masiiba jirbey ra bo, Haray jirbey ra mo i ga kungu.
20For the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume, like smoke shall they consume away.
20 Amma laalakoyey ga halaci, Rabbi ibarey mo ga ciya sanda kuray do darza. I ga say ka daray, i ga say sanda dullu cine.
21The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; but the righteous is gracious and giveth:
21 Laalakoy ga garaw sambu, a si bana mo, Amma adilante ya gomnikoy no, a ga nooyaŋ no.
22for those blessed of him shall possess the land, and they that are cursed of him shall be cut off.
22 Zama borey kaŋ yaŋ du albarka Irikoy do, Ngey no ga laabo tubu, Amma borey kaŋ yaŋ a laali, a g'i tuusu.
23The steps of a man are established by Jehovah, and he delighteth in his way:
23 Rabbi ga boro ce taamuyaŋey tabbatandi, A ga farhã d'a fonda mo.
24though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down, for Jehovah upholdeth his hand.
24 Baa a kaŋ, a si gay ganda bo, Zama Rabbi goono g'a gaay nga kambe ra.
25I have been young, and now am old, and I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread:
25 Doŋ ay ya zanka no, sohõ mo ay zeen, Amma ay mana di i ma adilante furu baa ce fo, Wala mo a banda ma nga ŋwaaro ŋwaaray.
26all the day he is gracious and lendeth, and his seed shall be a blessing.
26 Zaari me-a-me a goono ga gomni goy te, A goono ga garaw daŋ, A bandey mo albarkanteyaŋ no.
27Depart from evil, and do good, and dwell for evermore;
27 Ma fay da laala, ma booriyaŋ te. Woodin gaa no ni ga goro hal abada.
28for Jehovah loveth judgment, and will not forsake his saints: They are preserved for ever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
28 Zama Rabbi ga ba cimi ciiti, A si nga hanantey furu mo. I g'i haggoy no hal abada, Amma a ga boro laalo ganji banda.
29The righteous shall possess the land, and dwell therein for ever.
29 Adilantey ga laabo tubu, i ma goro a ra hal abada.
30The mouth of the righteous proffereth wisdom, and his tongue speaketh judgment;
30 Adilante me ga laakal sanni salaŋ, A deena mo ga cimi ciiti sanni te.
31the law of his God is in his heart; his goings shall not slide.
31 A Irikoyo asariya go a bina ra, A taamuyaŋey kulu si te tansi.
32The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him:
32 Boro laalo ga gum ka adilante batandi, A goono ga ceeci nga m'a wi.
33Jehovah will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
33 Rabbi si adilanta naŋ a kambe ra. A s'a zeeri mo waati kaŋ i goono g'a ciiti.
34Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way, and he will exalt thee to possess the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see [it].
35I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading like a green tree in its native soil:
35 Ay doona ka di boro laalo kaŋ toonyante no. A go ga daaru ka yandi sanda tuuri tayo kaŋ go nga batama ra.
36but he passed away, and behold, he was not; and I sought him, but he was not found.
36 Amma a bisa, a si no mo. Oho, hala ay n'a ceeci zaati, Amma boro si ye ka di a koyne.
37Mark the perfect, and behold the upright, for the end of [that] man is peace;
37 Ma laakal daŋ cimi-toonante-koy gaa, Ma adilante guna mo, Zama baani boro gonda kokora hanno.
38but the transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.
38 Day zunubikooney ga halaci no care banda, Boro laaley kokora ga ti i m'i tuusu.
39But the salvation of the righteous is of Jehovah: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
39 Amma adilantey faaba wo, Rabbi do no a ga fun. Nga no ga ti i gaabi do taabi alwaati ra.
40And Jehovah will help them and deliver them: he will deliver them from the wicked, and save them; for they trust in him.
40 Rabbi g'i gaakasinay, a g'i kaa kambe. Boro laaley kambe ra n'a g'i kaa, A g'i faaba mo zama i tugu a do.
