1{To the chief Musician. 'Destroy not.' Of David. Michtam.} Is righteousness indeed silent? Do ye speak it? Do ye judge with equity, ye sons of men?
1 Doonkoy jine bora se. I m'a doon da subo kaŋ ga ne: «Ma si halaci». Dawda baytu fo no.
2Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth.
2 Ya ciitikoy, adilitaray no araŋ goono ga salaŋ wo? Araŋ goono ga ciiti kaŋ ga saba te Adam-izey se, wala?
3The wicked go astray from the womb; they err as soon as they are born, speaking lies.
3 Abada! Araŋ biney ra haray araŋ goono ga adilitaray-jaŋay goy te. Araŋ goono g'araŋ kambey toonyeyaŋo neesi ndunnya ra.
4Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: [they are] like the deaf adder which stoppeth her ear;
4 Boro laaley daray za gunde ra. Za i hayyaŋ gaa no i ga fonda taŋ, I goono ga tangari ci.
5Which doth not hearken to the voice of enchanters, of one charming ever so wisely.
5 I naajo, sanda gondi naaji no, I ga hima gazama mo kaŋ ga nga hanga daabu,
6O God, break their teeth in their mouth; break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Jehovah.
6 Nga kaŋ baa si nda gaddey jinde, I gadditaray waaniyaŋ kulu ra.
7Let them melt away as waters that flow off; when he aimeth his arrows, let them be as blunted:
7 Ya Irikoy, m'i hinjey bagu-bagu i meyey ra. Ya Rabbi, ma muusu izey hinje kuukey ceeri ka dagu!
8Let them be as a snail that melteth as it passeth away; [like] the untimely birth of a woman, let them not see the sun.
8 I ma dandi sanda hari kaŋ goono ga zuru nda waasi. D'a na nga hangawey dabu, I ma ciya sanda goso koonu no.
9Before your pots feel the thorns, green or burning, -- they shall be whirled away.
9 I ma ciya sanda lu kaŋ ga mandi ka bisa, Sanda wayboro gunde hasaraw, kaŋ mana di wayna.
10The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance; he shall wash his footsteps in the blood of the wicked:
10 Hala araŋ kusey ga maa yanga danjo, Itayey da wo kaŋ goono ga di, i kulu care banda, Irikoy g'i ku da alma haw.
11And men shall say, Verily there is fruit for the righteous; verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.
11 Adilante ga farhã d'a di banayaŋ, A ga nga cey nyun laalakoyey kuri ra.
12 Hala borey ga ne: «Daahir adilante alhakku go no, Daahir Irikoy go no, nga kaŋ ga ciiti te ndunnya ra.»
