1{A Psalm of Asaph.} Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are of a pure heart.
2But as for me, my feet were almost gone, my steps had well nigh slipped;
3For I was envious at the arrogant, seeing the prosperity of the wicked.
4For they have no pangs in their death, and their body is well nourished;
4 Zama i buuyaŋ ra sinda doori maayaŋ durayyaŋ, I gaabey go toonante.
5They have not the hardships of mankind, neither are they plagued like [other] men:
5 I si taabi ra sanda boro cindey cine, I mana masiiba te i se sanda boro cindey cine.
6Therefore pride encompasseth them as a neck-chain, violence covereth them [as] a garment;
6 Woodin se no boŋbeeray goono ga sarku i jindey gaa sanda jinde gaa taalam hari cine, I gonda toonye ga daŋ sanda bankaaray cine.
7Their eyes stand out from fatness, they exceed the imaginations of their heart:
7 I moy go ga dor-doru maani sabbay se, I biney fonguyaŋey baa gumo.
8They mock and speak wickedly of oppression, they speak loftily:
8 I goono ga hahaaray te, laala ra mo i ga kankami ci. I goono ga niine jare ka salaŋ,
9They set their mouth in the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
9 I na ngey meyey ye beene ka gaaba nda beeney, I deeney mo goono ga bar-bare ganda.
10Therefore his people turn hither, and waters in fulness are wrung out to them.
10 Woodin se no a borey ga ye ka kaa neewo, I goono ga hari haŋ gumo.
11And they say, How can ùGod know, and is there knowledge in the Most High?
11 Foomantey din goono ga ne: «Mate no Irikoy ga te ka bay? Bayray woofo no go Beeray-Beeri-Koyo do?»
12Behold, these are the wicked, and they prosper in the world: they heap up riches.
12 A go, woone yaŋ, ngey no ga ti laalakoyey: I goono ga goro baani samay duumi, I goono ga tonton da arzaka.
13Truly have I purified my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency:
13 Daahir, yaamo no ay n'ay bina hanandi, Ay n'ay kambey nyun da taali-jaŋay.
14For all the day have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
14 Zama zaari me-a-me masiiba no ay goono ga haŋ, Da goojiyaŋ mo susubay kulu.
15If I said, I will speak thus, behold, I should be faithless to the generation of thy children.
15 D'ay ne: «Yaadin cine no ay ga salaŋ,» A go, doŋ ay na ni izey zamana amaana ŋwa.
16When I thought to be able to know this, it was a grievous task in mine eyes;
16 Waato kaŋ ay ceeci ay ma woodin bay, kala a ciya haŋ kaŋ gaabu ay se.
17Until I went into the sanctuaries of ùGod; [then] understood I their end.
17 Day waato kaŋ ay furo Irikoy nangu hananta ra, Gaa no ay laakal d'i bananta.
18Truly thou settest them in slippery places, thou castest them down in ruins.
18 Daahir, ni n'i daŋ tansi nangey ra, Ni n'i furu halaci zulliyaŋey do.
19How are they suddenly made desolate! they pass away, consumed with terrors.
19 Guna mate kaŋ cine i kaŋ farap! folloŋ, I n'i haabu ka ban parkatak da humburkumay beeriyaŋ.
20As a dream, when one awaketh, wilt thou, Lord, on arising despise their image.
21When my heart was in a ferment, and I was pricked in my reins,
21 Waati kaŋ a dooru ay gaa, A n'ay gooru mo ay bina ra,
22Then I was brutish and knew nothing; I was [as] a beast with thee.
23Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden my right hand;
24Thou wilt guide me by thy counsel, and after the glory, thou wilt receive me.
25Whom have I in the heavens? and there is none upon earth I desire beside thee.
25 May no ay se beene da manti nin no? Ndunnya ra mo sinda boro fo kaŋ g'ay beejandi kala nin.
26My flesh and my heart faileth: God is the rock of my heart and my portion for ever.
26 Ay bina d'ay hamo gaze, Amma Irikoy ga ti ay bina tondi daaro, D'ay baa mo hal abada.
27For behold, they that are far from thee shall perish; thou destroyest every one that goeth a whoring from thee.
27 Zama a go, borey kaŋ yaŋ ga mooru nin ga halaci. Ngey kaŋ yaŋ fay da nin ka amaana ŋwaari gana, I kulu ni g'i halaci.
28But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord Jehovah, that I may declare all thy works.
28 Amma a boori ay se ya maan Irikoy, Ay na Rabbi, Koy Beero te ay koruyaŋ do, Zama ay ma ni goyey kulu baaru dede.
