1{To the chief Musician. On Shoshannim-Eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm.} Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that sittest [between] the cherubim, shine forth.
1 Doonkoy jine bora se. I m'a doon da subo kaŋ ga ne: «Seeda hanno.» Asaf baytu fo no.
2Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, and come to our deliverance.

3O God, restore us; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
4Jehovah, God of hosts, how long will thine anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?
4 Ya Irikoy, m'iri bare ka ye. Ma naŋ ni moyduma ma kaari, iri mo ga du faaba.
5Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure:
5 Ya Rabbi Irikoy Kundeykoyo, Waatifo no ni ga futay naŋ ni borey adduwa se?
6Thou hast made us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies mock among themselves.
6 Ni n'i ŋwaayandi nda buuru kaŋ ra mundi go, Ni n'i haŋandi mo da mundi boobo.
7Restore us, O God of hosts; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
7 Ni naŋ iri ciya canda-canda hari iri gorokasiney se, Iri ibarey mo goono ga haaru ngey nda care game ra.
8Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt; thou didst cast out the nations, and plant it:
8 Ya Irikoy Kundeykoyo, m'iri bare ka ye, Ma naŋ ni moyduma ma kaari, iri mo ga du faaba.
9Thou preparedst space before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land;
10The mountains were covered with its shadow, and the branches thereof were [like] cedars of ùGod;

11It sent out its boughs unto the sea, and its shoots unto the river.
11 Tondi kuukey go ga daabu nd'a biyo, A kambey ga hima Irikoy sedreyaŋ.
12Why hast thou broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way do pluck it?
12 A go ga nga kambey salle ka koy hala teeko me gaa, A kobtey mo go hala Isa Beero me gaa.
13The boar out of the forest doth waste it, and the beast of the field doth feed off it.
13 Ifo se no ni n'a sinkitey kalo zeeri hala fondo ganakoy kulu goono g'a izey kosu-kosu?
14O God of hosts, return, we beseech thee; look down from the heavens, and behold, and visit this vine;
14 Ganji birnyey go g'a halaci, Ganji hamey go g'a kuru.
15Even the stock which thy right hand hath planted, and the young plant thou madest strong for thyself.
Ni go beene. Ma fonnay, ma guna, ma tiksa din kunfa.
16It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
17Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.
17 I n'a beeri, i n'a ton da danji, I goono g'a halaci ni moyduma kaseetiyaŋo sabbay se.
18So will we not go back from thee. Revive us, and we will call upon thy name.
19Restore us, O Jehovah, God of hosts; cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
19 Waato din gaa no iri si bare ka fay da nin. M'iri funandi, iri mo ga ni maa ce.
20 Ya Rabbi Irikoy Kundeykoyo, m'iri bare ka ye. Ma naŋ ni moyduma ma kaari, iri mo ga du faaba.
