1{To the chief Musician. Upon the Gittith. [A Psalm] of Asaph.} Sing ye joyously unto God our strength, shout aloud unto the God of Jacob;
1 Doonkoy jine bora se. I m'a doon da moolo hamni ahakku koy karyaŋ. Asaf wane no.
2Raise a song, and sound the tambour, the pleasant harp with the lute.
3Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the set time, on our feast day:
3 Wa baytu tunandi, Wa kande bitti nda moolo beeri kaŋ jinde ga kaan, da moolo.
4For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob;
4 Wa hilli kar handu kayyaŋ hane, Da handu farsiyaŋ hane, iri bato hane nooya.
5He ordained it in Joseph [for] a testimony, when he went forth over the land of Egypt, [where] I heard a language that I knew not.
6I removed his shoulder from the burden; his hands were freed from the basket.
6 A n'a daŋ seeda Yusufu ra, Waato kaŋ a koy Misira laabo windiyaŋ, Nango kaŋ ay maa deene kaŋ ay si bay, kaŋ ne:
7Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder; I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
7 «Ay n'a jase dogonandi k'a fay da jaraw sambuyaŋ, Ay n'a kambey fulanzam da cilla.
8Hear, my people, and I will testify unto thee; O Israel, if thou wouldest hearken unto me!
9There shall no strange ùgod be in thee, neither shalt thou worship any foreign ùgod.
10I am Jehovah thy God, that brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
10 De-koy yaw fo ma si goro ni do, Ni ma si sududu mo de-koy yaw waani fo se.
11But my people hearkened not to my voice, and Israel would none of me.
12So I gave them up unto their own hearts' stubbornness: they walked after their own counsels.
12 Amma ay borey mana hangan ay sanno se, Israyla mana ay gana.
13Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, that Israel had walked in my ways!
13 Woodin se no ay fay d'ey i ma ngey hanga sanda gana kaŋ ga naŋ i ma dira ngey bumbey dabarey boŋ.
14I would soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
14 Doŋ day ay borey ma hangan ay se, Doŋ day Israyla ma dira ay fondey ra!
15The haters of Jehovah would have come cringing unto him; but their time would have been for ever.
15 Doŋ ay g'i ibarey kar ka ye ganda nda waasi, Ay m'ay kamba bare i yanjekaarey boŋ.
16And he would have fed them with the finest of wheat; yea, with honey out of the rock would I have satisfied thee.
