Psalms

91

1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
1 Beeray-Beeri-Koyo bukka ra gorokwa ga tondo Hina-Kulu-Koyo biyo cire.
2I say of Jehovah, My refuge and my fortress; my God, I will confide in him.
2 Ay ga ne Rabbi se kaŋ nga ya ay koruyaŋ do no, d'ay gaabi nangu, D'ay Irikoyo mo. A gaa no ay ga de.
3Surely *he* shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the destructive pestilence.
3 Zama nga no ga ni kaa ni koliko hirrimi ra, Da balaaw kaŋ ga kande buuyaŋ mo ra.
4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou find refuge: his truth is a shield and buckler.
4 A ga ni daabu nda nga hamno, Ni ga du kosaray a fatey cire. A cimo ya koray da guuru kwaay no.
5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, for the arrow that flieth by day,
5 Cin humburkumay si ni di, Wala mo hangaw kaŋ ga tun zaari,
6For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
6 Wala balaaw kaŋ ga lamba kubay ra, Wala halaciyaŋ kaŋ ga leemun zaari bindi.
7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee.
7 Boro zambar ga kaŋ ni tanjay, Zambar way mo koyne ni kambe ŋwaari gaa, Amma a si maan ni gaa.
8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the wicked.
8 Ni moy hinne no ni ga guna nd'a ka di boro laaley banando.
9Because *thou* hast made Jehovah, my refuge, the Most High, thy dwelling-place,
9 Zama nin, ya Rabbi, nin no ga ti ay koruyaŋ do! Beeray-Beeri-Koyo ciya ni gora do.
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.
10 Laala si no kaŋ ga du nin, Balaaw fo mo si no kaŋ ga maan ni bukka gaa.
11For he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, to keep thee in all thy ways:
11 Zama a ga lordi no nga malaykey se ni boŋ, I ma ni hallasi ni fondey kulu ra.
12They shall bear thee up in [their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12 I ga ni tambe ngey kambey ra, Zama ni ma si ni ce nuku tondi gaa.
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and the adder; the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under foot.
13 Ni ga muusu beeri nda firsa taamu, Muusu beeri ize da gondi beeri mo, Ni g'i taamu-taamu ni ce taamey cire.
14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
14 «Za kaŋ a na nga baakasina sinji ay gaa, Woodin sabbay se no ay mo g'a kaa kambe. Ay g'a hallasi zama a g'ay maa bay.
15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.
15 A g'ay ce, ay mo ga tu a se. Kankami ra ay ga bara a banda. Ay g'a faaba, ay g'a beerandi mo.
16With length of days will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
16 Ay g'a no aloomar kuuku hal a ma ne a wasa, Ay g'ay faaba mo bangandi a se.»
