¹Not unto us, O Jehovah, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth's sake.

¹எங்களுக்கு அல்ல, கர்த்தாவே, எங்களுக்கு அல்ல, உமது கிருபையினிமித்தமும், உமது சத்தியத்தினிமித்தமும், உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்கே மகிமை வரப்பண்ணும்.

²Wherefore should the nations say, Where then is their God?

²அவர்களுடைய தேவன் இப்பொழுது எங்கே என்று புறஜாதிகள் சொல்வானேன்?

³But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he pleased.

³நம்முடைய தேவன் பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிறார்; தமக்குச் சித்தமான யாவையும் செய்கிறார்.

⁴Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands:

⁴அவர்களுடைய விக்கிரகங்கள் வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும், மனுஷருடைய கைவேலையுமாயிருக்கிறது.

⁵They have a mouth, and they speak not; eyes have they, and they see not;

⁵அவைகளுக்கு வாயிருந்தும் பேசாது; அவைகளுக்குக் கண்களிருந்தும் காணாது.

⁶They have ears, and they hear not; a nose have they, and they smell not;

⁶அவைகளுக்குக் காதுகளிருந்தும் கேளாது; அவைகளுக்கு மூக்கிருந்தும் முகராது.

⁷They have hands, and they handle not; feet have they, and they walk not; they give no sound through their throat.

⁷அவைகளுக்குக் கைகளிருந்தும் தொடாது; அவைகளுக்குக் கால்களிருந்தும் நடவாது; தங்கள் தொண்டையால் சத்தமிடவும் மாட்டாது.

⁸They that make them are like unto them, -- every one that confideth in them.

⁸அவைகளைப் பண்ணுகிறவர்களும், அவைகளை நம்புகிறவர்கள் யாவரும், அவைகளைப்போலவே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

⁹O Israel, confide thou in Jehovah: he is their help and their shield.

⁹இஸ்ரவேலே, கர்த்தரை நம்பு; அவரே அவர்களுக்குத் துணையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கேடகமுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

¹⁰House of Aaron, confide in Jehovah: he is their help and their shield.

¹⁰ஆரோன் குடும்பத்தாரே, கர்த்தரை நம்புங்கள்; அவரே அவர்களுக்குத் துணையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கேடகமுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

¹¹Ye that fear Jehovah, confide in Jehovah: he is their help and their shield.

¹¹கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவர்களே, கர்த்தரை நம்புங்கள்; அவரே அவர்களுக்குத் துணையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கேடகமுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

¹²Jehovah hath been mindful of us: he will bless, he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron;

¹²கர்த்தர் நம்மை நினைத்திருக்கிறார், அவர் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்; இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார், அவர் ஆரோன் குடும்பத்தாரை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

¹³He will bless them that fear Jehovah, both the small and the great.

¹³கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பெரியோரையும் சிறியோரையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

¹⁴Jehovah will add unto you more, unto you and unto your children.

¹⁴கர்த்தர் உங்களையும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளையும் வர்த்திக்கப்பண்ணுவார்.

¹⁵Ye are blessed of Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth.

¹⁵வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் படைத்த கர்த்தராலே நீங்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்.

¹⁶The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah, but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

¹⁶வானங்கள் கர்த்தருடையவைகள்; பூமியையோ மனுபுத்திரருக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.

¹⁷The dead praise not Jah, neither any that go down into silence;

¹⁷மரித்தவர்களும் மவுனத்தில் இறங்குகிற அனைவரும் கர்த்தரைத் துதியார்கள்.

¹⁸But *we* will bless Jah from this time forth and for evermore. Hallelujah!

¹⁸நாமோ, இதுமுதல் என்றென்றைக்கும் கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரிப்போம். அல்லேலூயா.
