¹Hallelujah! Praise the name of Jehovah; praise, ye servants of Jehovah,

¹அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் துதியுங்கள்; கர்த்தரின் ஊழியக்காரரே, துதியுங்கள்.

²Ye that stand in the house of Jehovah, in the courts of the house of our God.

²கர்த்தருடைய வீட்டிலும், நமது தேவனுடைய ஆலயப்பிராகாரங்களிலும் நிற்கிறவர்களே, கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்.

³Praise ye Jah; for Jehovah is good: sing psalms unto his name; for it is pleasant.

³கர்த்தர் நல்லவர்; அவருடைய நாமத்தைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுங்கள்; அது இன்பமானது.

⁴For Jah hath chosen Jacob unto himself, Israel for his own possession.

⁴கர்த்தர் யாக்கோபைத் தமக்காகவும், இஸ்ரவேலைத் தமக்குச் சொந்தமாகவும் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.

⁵For *I* know that Jehovah is great, and our Lord is above all gods.

⁵கர்த்தர் பெரியவர் என்றும், நம்முடைய ஆண்டவர் எல்லா தேவர்களுக்கும் மேலானவர் என்றும் நான் அறிவேன்.

⁶Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, he hath done in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all deeps;

⁶வானத்திலும் பூமியிலும், சமுத்திரங்களிலும், எல்லா ஆழங்களிலும், கர்த்தர் தமக்குச் சித்தமானதையெல்லாம் செய்கிறார்.

⁷Who causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; who maketh lightnings for the rain; who bringeth the wind out of his treasuries:

⁷அவர் பூமியின் கடையாந்தரங்களிலிருந்து மேகங்களை எழும்பப்பண்ணி, மழையுடன் மின்னலையும் உண்டாக்கி, காற்றைத் தமது பண்டசாலைகளிலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

⁸Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast;

⁸அவர் எகிப்திலே மனுஷருடைய தலைப்பிள்ளைகளையும் மிருகத்தின் தலையீற்றுகளையும் அடித்தார்.

⁹Who sent signs and miracles into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants;

⁹எகிப்துதேசமே, உன் நடுவில் பார்வோன்மேலும் அவனுடைய எல்லா ஊழியக்காரர்மேலும் அடையாளங்களையும் அற்புதங்களையும் அனுப்பினார்.

¹⁰Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings,

¹⁰அவர் அநேகம் ஜாதிகளை அடித்து, பலத்த ராஜாக்களைக் கொன்று;

¹¹Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;

¹¹எமோரியரின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனையும், பாசானின் ராஜாவாகிய ஓகையும், கானானின் சகல ராஜ்யங்களையும் அழித்து,

¹²And gave their land for an inheritance, an inheritance unto Israel his people.

¹²அவர்கள் தேசத்தைத் தம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்தார்.

¹³Thy name, O Jehovah, is for ever; thy memorial, O Jehovah, from generation to generation.

¹³கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய நாமம் என்றைக்குமுள்ளது; கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய பிரஸ்தாபம் தலைமுறை தலைமுறைக்கும் இருக்கும்.

¹⁴For Jehovah will judge his people, and will repent in favour of his servants.

¹⁴கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஜனத்தின் நியாயத்தை விசாரித்து, தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரர்மேல் பரிதாபப்படுவார்.

¹⁵The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands:

¹⁵அஞ்ஞானிகளுடைய விக்கிரகங்கள் வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும், மனுஷருடைய கைவேலையுமாயிருக்கிறது.

¹⁶They have a mouth, and they speak not; eyes have they, and they see not;

¹⁶அவைகளுக்கு வாயிருந்தும் பேசாது, அவைகளுக்குக் கண்களிருந்தும் காணாது.

¹⁷They have ears, and they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouth.

¹⁷அவைகளுக்குக் காதுகளிருந்தும் கேளாது, அவைகளுடைய வாயிலே சுவாசமுமில்லை.

¹⁸They that make them are like unto them, -- every one that confideth in them.

¹⁸அவைகளைப் பண்ணுகிறவர்களும், அவைகளை நம்புகிறவர்கள் யாவரும், அவைகளைப்போல் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

¹⁹House of Israel, bless ye Jehovah; house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah;

¹⁹இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரே, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்; ஆரோன் குடும்பத்தாரே, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

²⁰House of Levi, bless ye Jehovah; ye that fear Jehovah, bless Jehovah.

²⁰லேவி குடும்பத்தாரே, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்; கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களே, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

²¹Blessed be Jehovah out of Zion, who dwelleth at Jerusalem! Hallelujah!
