1{A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, I have called upon thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.
1கர்த்தாவே, உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறேன், என்னிடத்திற்கு வரத்தீவிரியும்; நான் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகையில், என் சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடும்.
2Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening oblation.
2என் விண்ணப்பம் உமக்கு முன்பாகத் தூபமாகவும், என் கையெடுப்பு அந்திப்பலியாகவும் இருக்கக்கடவது.
3Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
3கர்த்தாவே, என் வாய்க்குக் காவல்வையும்; என் உதடுகளின் வாசலைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளும்.
4Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise deeds of wickedness with men that are workers of iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.
4அக்கிரமஞ்செய்கிற மனுஷரோடே ஆகாமியக் கிரியைகளை நடப்பிக்கும்படி என் இருதயத்தைத் துன்மார்க்கத்திற்கு இணங்கவொட்டாதேயும்; அவர்களுடைய ருசியுள்ள பதார்த்தங்களில் ஒன்றையும் நான் சாப்பிடாமல் இருப்பேனாக.
5Let the righteous smite me, it is kindness; and let him reprove me, it is an excellent oil which my head shall not refuse: for yet my prayer also is [for them] in their calamities.
5நீதிமான் என்னைத் தயவாய்க்குட்டி, என்னைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளட்டும்; அது என் தலைக்கு எண்ணெயைப்போலிருக்கும்; என் தலை அதை அல்லத்தட்டுவதில்லை; அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளில் நான் இன்னும் ஜெபம்பண்ணுவேன்.
6When their judges are thrown down from the rocks, they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.
6அவர்களுடைய நியாயாதிபதிகள் கன்மலைச் சார்புகளிலிருந்து தள்ளுண்டுபோகிறபோது, என் வார்த்தைகள் இன்பமானவைகளென்று கேட்பார்கள்.
7Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cutteth and cleaveth [wood] upon the earth.
7பூமியின்மேல் ஒருவன் மரத்தை வெட்டிப் பிளக்கிறதுபோல, எங்கள் எலும்புகள் பாதாளவாய்க்கு நேராய்ச் சிதறடிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
8For unto thee, Jehovah, Lord, are mine eyes; in thee do I trust: leave not my soul destitute.
8ஆனாலும் ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தாவே, என் கண்கள் உம்மை நோக்கியிருக்கிறது; உம்மை நம்யிருக்கிறேன்; என் ஆத்துமாவை வெறுமையாக விடாதேயும்.
9Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity.
9அவர்கள் எனக்கு வைத்த கண்ணியின் சிக்குகளுக்கும், அக்கிரமக்காரரின் சுருக்குகளுக்கும் என்னை விலக்கி இரட்சியும்.
10Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that *I* withal pass over.
10துன்மார்க்கர் தங்கள் வலைகளில் அகப்படுவார்களாக; நானோ அதற்குத் தப்பிக் கடந்துபோவேன்.
