1{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Free me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; preserve me from the violent man:
1கர்த்தாவே, பொல்லாத மனுஷனுக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவியும்; கொடுமையுள்ளவனுக்கு என்னை விலக்கி இரட்சியும்.
2Who devise mischiefs in [their] heart; every day are they banded together for war.
2அவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்தில் பொல்லாப்புகளைச் சிந்தித்து, யுத்தஞ்செய்ய நாள்தோறும் கூட்டங்கூடுகிறார்கள்.
3They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.
3சர்ப்பத்தைப்போல் தங்கள் நாவை கூர்மையாக்குகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் உதடுகளின்கீழ் விரியன் பாம்பின் விஷம் இருக்கிறது. (சேலா)
4Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked [man], preserve me from the violent man, who devise to overthrow my steps.
4கர்த்தாவே, துன்மார்க்கனுடைய கைகளுக்கு என்னை நீங்கலாக்கி கொடியவனுக்கு என்னை விலக்கி இரட்சியும்; அவர்கள் என் நடைகளைக் கவிழ்க்கப்பார்க்கிறார்கள்.
5The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the way-side; they have set traps for me. Selah.
5அகங்காரிகள் எனக்குக் கண்ணியையும் கயிறுகளையும் மறைவாய் வைக்கிறார்கள்; வழியோரத்திலே வலையை விரித்து, எனக்குச் சுருக்குகளை வைக்கிறார்கள். (சேலா)
6I have said unto Jehovah, Thou art my ùGod: give ear, O Jehovah, to the voice of my supplications.
6நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: நீர் என் தேவன் என்றேன்; கர்த்தாவே, என் விண்ணப்பங்களின் சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடும்.
7Jehovah, the Lord, is the strength of my salvation: thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
7ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தாவே, என் இரட்சிப்பின் பெலனே, யுத்தநாளில் என் தலையை மூடினீர்.
8Grant not, O Jehovah, the desire of the wicked; further not his device: they would exalt themselves. Selah.
8கர்த்தாவே, துன்மார்க்கனுடைய ஆசைகள் சித்தியாதபடிசெய்யும்; அவன் தன்னை உயர்த்தாதபடி அவனுடைய யோசனையை நடந்தேறவொட்டாதேயும். (சேலா)
9[As for] the head of those that encompass me, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
9என்னை வளைந்துகொள்ளுகிறவர்களுடைய உதடுகளின் தீவினைகள் அவர்கள் தலைகளையே மூடுவதாக.
10Let burning coals fall on them; let them be cast into the fire; into deep waters, that they rise not up again.
10நெருப்புத்தழல் அவர்கள்மேல் விழுவதாக; அக்கினியிலும், அவர்கள் எழுந்திருக்கக்கூடாத படுகுழிகளிலும் தள்ளப்படுவார்களாக.
11Let not the man of [evil] tongue be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the man of violence to [his] ruin.
11பொல்லாத நாவுள்ளவன் பூமியிலே நிலைப்பதில்லை; கொடுமையான மனுஷனை பறக்கடிக்கப் பொல்லாப்பு அவனை வேட்டையாடும்.
12I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted one, the right of the needy.
12சிறுமையானவனின் வழக்கையும், எளியவர்களின் நியாயத்தையும் கர்த்தர் விசாரிப்பாரென்று அறிவேன்.
13Yea, the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name; the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
13நீதிமான்கள் உமது நாமத்தைத் துதிப்பார்கள்; செம்மையானவர்கள் உமது சமுகத்தில் வாசம் பண்ணுவார்கள்.
