1And rising up thence he comes into the coasts of Judaea, and the other side of the Jordan. And again crowds come together to him, and, as he was accustomed, again he taught them.
1ฝ่ายพระองค์ได้ทรงลุกขึ้นเสด็จจากที่นั่น เข้าในเขตแดนแคว้นยูเดีย ไปตามทางแม่น้ำจอร์แดนฟากข้างโน้น และประชาชนพากันมาหาพระองค์อีก พระองค์จึงตรัสสั่งสอนเขาอีกตามที่พระองค์ทรงเคยสอนนั้น
2And Pharisees coming to [him] asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away [his] wife? (tempting him).
2พวกฟาริสีมาทดลองพระองค์ทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "ผู้ชายจะหย่าภรรยาของตนเป็นการถูกต้องตามพระราชบัญญัติหรือไม่"
3But he answering said to them, What did Moses command you?
3พระองค์ตรัสถามเขาว่า "โมเสสได้บัญญัติไว้ว่าอย่างไร"
4And they said, Moses allowed to write a bill of divorce, and to put away.
4เขาทูลตอบว่า "โมเสสอนุญาตให้ทำหนังสือหย่าภรรยาแล้วก็หย่าให้"
5And Jesus answering said to them, In view of your hard-heartedness he wrote this commandment for you;
5พระเยซูจึงตรัสตอบเขาว่า "โมเสสได้เขียนข้อบังคับนั้นเพราะเหตุใจพวกเจ้าแข็งกระด้าง
6but from [the] beginning of [the] creation God made them male and female.
6แต่ตั้งแต่เดิมสร้างโลก `พระเจ้าได้ทรงสร้างพวกเขาให้เป็นชายและหญิง
7For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be united to his wife,
7เพราะเหตุนี้ผู้ชายจะจากบิดามารดาของเขา จะไปผูกพันอยู่กับภรรยา
8and the two shall be one flesh: so that they are no longer two but one flesh.
8และเขาทั้งสองจะเป็นเนื้ออันเดียวกัน' เขาจึงไม่เป็นสองต่อไป แต่เป็นเนื้ออันเดียวกัน
9What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.
9เหตุฉะนั้น ซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ทรงผูกพันกันแล้ว อย่าให้มนุษย์ทำให้พรากจากกันเลย"
10And again in the house the disciples asked him concerning this.
10เมื่อเข้าไปในเรือนแล้วเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ทูลถามพระองค์อีกถึงเรื่องนั้น
11And he says to them, Whosoever shall put away his wife and shall marry another, commits adultery against her.
11พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "ถ้าผู้ใดหย่าภรรยาของตน แล้วไปมีภรรยาใหม่ ผู้นั้นก็ได้ผิดประเวณีต่อเธอ
12And if a woman put away her husband and shall marry another, she commits adultery.
12และถ้าหญิงจะหย่าสามีของตน แล้วไปมีสามีใหม่ หญิงนั้นก็ผิดประเวณี"
13And they brought little children to him that he might touch them. But the disciples rebuked those that brought [them].
13ขณะนั้นเขาพาเด็กเล็กๆมาหาพระองค์ เพื่อจะให้พระองค์ทรงถูกต้องตัวเด็กนั้น แต่เหล่าสาวกก็ห้ามปรามคนที่พาเด็กมานั้น
14But Jesus seeing [it], was indignant, and said to them, Suffer the little children to come to me; forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God.
14เมื่อพระเยซูทอดพระเนตรเห็นดังนั้นก็ไม่พอพระทัย จึงตรัสแก่เหล่าสาวกว่า "จงยอมให้เด็กเล็กๆเข้ามาหาเรา อย่าห้ามเขาเลย เพราะว่าอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าเป็นของคนเช่นเด็กอย่างนั้น
15Verily I say to you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall in no wise enter into it.
15เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า ผู้หนึ่งผู้ใดมิได้รับอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าเหมือนเด็กเล็กๆ ผู้นั้นจะเข้าในอาณาจักรนั้นไม่ได้"
16And having taken them in his arms, having laid his hands on them, he blessed them.
16แล้วพระองค์ทรงอุ้มเด็กเล็กๆเหล่านั้น วางพระหัตถ์บนเขา แล้วทรงอวยพรให้
17And as he went forth into the way, a person ran up to [him], and kneeling to him asked him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
17เมื่อพระองค์กำลังเสด็จออกไปตามทาง มีคนหนึ่งวิ่งมาหาพระองค์คุกเข่าลงทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "ท่านอาจารย์ผู้ประเสริฐ ข้าพเจ้าจะกระทำประการใดจึงจะได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์เป็นมรดก"
18But Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? no one is good but one, [that is] God.
18พระเยซูตรัสถามคนนั้นว่า "ท่านเรียกเราว่าประเสริฐทำไม ไม่มีใครประเสริฐเว้นแต่พระเจ้าองค์เดียว
19Thou knowest the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honour thy father and mother.
19ท่านรู้จักพระบัญญัติแล้วซึ่งว่า `อย่าล่วงประเวณีผัวเมียเขา อย่ากระทำการฆาตกรรม อย่าลักทรัพย์ อย่าเป็นพยานเท็จ อย่าฉ้อเขา จงให้เกียรติแก่บิดามารดาของตน'"
20And he answering said to him, Teacher, all these things have I kept from my youth.
20คนนั้นจึงทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "อาจารย์เจ้าข้า ข้อเหล่านั้นข้าพเจ้าได้ถือรักษาไว้ตั้งแต่เป็นเด็กมา"
21And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said to him, One thing lackest thou: go, sell whatever thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, [taking up the cross].
21พระเยซูทรงเพ่งดูคนนั้น ก็ทรงรักเขา แล้วตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านยังขาดอยู่สิ่งหนึ่ง จงไปขายบรรดาสิ่งของซึ่งท่านมีอยู่ แจกจ่ายให้คนอนาถา แล้วท่านจะมีทรัพย์สมบัติในสวรรค์ แล้วจงแบกกางเขน และตามเรามา"
22But he, sad at the word, went away grieved, for he had large possessions.
22เมื่อเขาได้ยินคำนั้นก็เสียใจ แล้วออกไปเป็นทุกข์เพราะเขามีทรัพย์สิ่งของเป็นอันมาก
23And Jesus looking around says to his disciples, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
23พระเยซูจึงทอดพระเนตรรอบๆแล้วตรัสแก่เหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ว่า "คนมั่งมีจะเข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าก็ยากนักหนา"
24And the disciples were amazed at his words. And Jesus again answering says to them, Children, how difficult it is that those who trust in riches should enter into the kingdom of God!
24เหล่าสาวกก็ประหลาดใจด้วยคำตรัสของพระองค์ และพระเยซูตรัสแก่เขาอีกว่า "ลูกเอ๋ย คนที่วางใจในทรัพย์สมบัติจะเข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าก็ยากนักหนา
25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25ตัวอูฐจะลอดรูเข็มก็ง่ายกว่าคนมั่งมีจะเข้าในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า"
26And they were exceedingly astonished, saying to one another, And who can be saved?
26เหล่าสาวกก็ประหลาดใจยิ่งนักจึงพูดกันว่า "ถ้าอย่างนั้นใครจะรอดได้"
27But Jesus looking on them says, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.
27พระเยซูทอดพระเนตรเหล่าสาวกแล้วตรัสว่า "ฝ่ายมนุษย์ก็เหลือกำลังที่จะทำได้ แต่ไม่เหลือกำลังของพระเจ้า เพราะว่าพระเจ้าทรงกระทำให้สำเร็จได้ทุกสิ่ง"
28Peter began to say to him, Behold, *we* have left all things and have followed thee.
28ฝ่ายเปโตรจึงเริ่มทูลพระองค์ว่า "ดูเถิด ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้สละสิ่งสารพัด และได้ติดตามพระองค์มา"
29Jesus answering said, Verily I say to you, There is no one who has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, [or wife], or children, or lands, for my sake and for the sake of the gospel,
29พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า "เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า ถ้าผู้ใดได้สละบ้าน หรือพี่น้องชายหญิง หรือบิดามารดา หรือภรรยา หรือลูก หรือไร่นา เพราะเห็นแก่เราและข่าวประเสริฐนั้น
30that shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time: houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions, and in the coming age life eternal.
30ในเวลานี้ผู้นั้นจะได้รับตอบแทนร้อยเท่า คือบ้าน พี่น้องชายหญิง มารดา ลูกและไร่นา ทั้งจะถูกการข่มเหงด้วย และในโลกหน้าจะได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์
31But many first shall be last, and the last first.
31แต่มีหลายคนที่เป็นคนต้นจะต้องกลับไปเป็นคนสุดท้าย และที่เป็นคนสุดท้ายจะกลับเป็นคนต้น"
32And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going on before them; and they were amazed, and were afraid as they followed. And taking the twelve again to [him], he began to tell them what was going to happen to him:
32เมื่อกำลังเดินทางจะขึ้นไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม พระเยซูก็เสด็จนำหน้าเขา ฝ่ายเหล่าสาวกก็พากันคิดประหลาดใจ และขณะที่เขาตามมาก็หวาดกลัว พระองค์จึงทรงเรียกสาวกสิบสองคนอีก แล้วเริ่มตรัสสำแดงให้เขาทราบถึงเหตุการณ์ซึ่งจะเกิดแก่พระองค์นั้น
33Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be delivered up to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him up to the nations:
33ว่า "ดูเถิด เราทั้งหลายจะขึ้นไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และเขาจะมอบบุตรมนุษย์ไว้กับพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่และพวกธรรมาจารย์ และเขาเหล่านั้นจะปรับโทษท่านถึงตาย และจะมอบท่านไว้กับคนต่างชาติ
34and they shall mock him, and shall scourge him, and shall spit upon him, and shall kill him; and after three days he shall rise again.
34คนต่างชาตินั้นจะเยาะเย้ยท่าน จะเฆี่ยนตีท่าน จะถ่มน้ำลายรดท่าน และจะฆ่าท่านเสีย และวันที่สามท่านจะเป็นขึ้นมาใหม่"
35And there come to him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying [to him], Teacher, we would that whatsoever we may ask thee, thou wouldst do it for us.
35ฝ่ายยากอบกับยอห์น บุตรชายของเศเบดี เข้ามาทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระอาจารย์เจ้าข้า ข้าพระองค์ทั้งสองปรารถนาจะขอให้พระองค์ทรงกระทำตามคำขอของข้าพระองค์"
36And he said to them, What would ye that I should do for you?
36พระองค์จึงตรัสถามเขาว่า "ท่านทั้งสองปรารถนาจะให้เราทำสิ่งใดให้ท่าน"
37And they said to him, Give to us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and one on thy left hand, in thy glory.
37เขาจึงทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "เมื่อพระองค์จะทรงสง่าราศีนั้น ขอให้ข้าพระองค์นั่งที่เบื้องขวาพระหัตถ์คนหนึ่ง เบื้องซ้ายพระหัตถ์คนหนึ่ง"
38And Jesus said to them, Ye do not know what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup which *I* drink, or be baptised with the baptism that *I* am baptised with?
38พระเยซูจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ที่ท่านขอนั้นท่านไม่เข้าใจ ถ้วยซึ่งเราจะดื่มนั้นท่านจะดื่มได้หรือ และบัพติศมานั้นซึ่งเราจะรับ ท่านจะรับได้หรือ"
39And they said to him, We are able. And Jesus said to them, The cup that *I* drink ye will drink and with the baptism that *I* am baptised with ye will be baptised,
39เขาทั้งสองทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "ได้ พระเจ้าข้า" พระเยซูจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ถ้วยซึ่งเราดื่มท่านจะดื่มก็จริง และรับบัพติศมาด้วยบัพติศมาที่เราจะรับก็จริง
40but to sit on my right hand or on my left is not mine to give, but for those for whom it is prepared.
40แต่ที่จะนั่งข้างขวาและข้างซ้ายของเรานั้น ไม่ใช่พนักงานของเราที่จะจัดให้ แต่ได้ทรงเตรียมไว้สำหรับผู้ใดก็จะให้แก่ผู้นั้น"
41And the ten having heard [of it], began to be indignant about James and John.
41เมื่อสาวกสิบคนได้ยินแล้ว ก็เริ่มมีความขุ่นเคืองยากอบและยอห์น
42But Jesus having called them to [him], says to them, Ye know that those who are esteemed to rule over the nations exercise lordship over them; and their great men exercise authority over them;
42พระเยซูจึงทรงเรียกเขาทั้งหลายมาตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายรู้อยู่ว่า ผู้ที่นับว่าเป็นผู้ครองของคนต่างชาติย่อมเป็นเจ้าเหนือเขา และผู้ใหญ่ทั้งหลายก็ใช้อำนาจบังคับ
43but it is not thus among you; but whosoever would be great among you, shall be your minister;
43แต่ในพวกท่านหาเป็นอย่างนั้นไม่ ถ้าผู้ใดใคร่จะได้เป็นใหญ่ในพวกท่าน ผู้นั้นจะต้องเป็นผู้ปรนนิบัติท่านทั้งหลาย
44and whosoever would be first of you shall be bondman of all.
44และถ้าผู้ใดใคร่จะได้เป็นเอกเป็นต้น ผู้นั้นจะต้องเป็นผู้รับใช้ของคนทั้งปวง
45For also the Son of man did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and give his life a ransom for many.
45เพราะว่าบุตรมนุษย์มิได้มาเพื่อรับการปรนนิบัติ แต่ท่านมาเพื่อจะปรนนิบัติเขา และประทานชีวิตของท่านให้เป็นค่าไถ่คนเป็นอันมาก"
46And they come to Jericho, and as he was going out from Jericho, and his disciples and a large crowd, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, the blind [man], sat by the wayside begging.
46ฝ่ายพระเยซูกับพวกสาวกมายังเมืองเยรีโค และเมื่อพระองค์เสด็จออกจากเมืองเยรีโคกับพวกสาวกของพระองค์และประชาชนเป็นอันมาก มีคนตาบอดคนหนึ่ง ชื่อบารทิเมอัส ซึ่งเป็นบุตรชายของทิเมอัส นั่งขอทานอยู่ที่ริมหนทาง
47And having heard that it was Jesus the Nazaraean, he began to cry out and to say, O Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me.
47เมื่อคนนั้นได้ยินว่าพระเยซูชาวนาซาเร็ธเสด็จมา จึงเริ่มร้องเสียงดังว่า "ท่านเยซู บุตรดาวิดเจ้าข้า ขอทรงเมตตาข้าพระองค์เถิด"
48And many rebuked him, that he might be silent; but he cried so much the more, Son of David, have mercy on me.
48มีหลายคนห้ามเขาให้เขานิ่งเสีย แต่เขายิ่งร้องเสียงดังขึ้นว่า "บุตรดาวิดเจ้าข้า ขอทรงเมตตาข้าพระองค์เถิด"
49And Jesus, standing still, desired him to be called. And they call the blind [man], saying to him, Be of good courage, rise up, he calls thee.
49พระเยซูทรงหยุดประทับยืนอยู่ แล้วตรัสสั่งให้เรียกคนนั้นมา เขาจึงเรียกคนตาบอดนั้นว่าแก่เขาว่า "จงชื่นใจและลุกขึ้นเถิด พระองค์ทรงเรียกเจ้า"
50And, throwing away his garment, he started up and came to Jesus.
50คนนั้นก็ทิ้งผ้าห่มเสียลุกขึ้นมาหาพระเยซู
51And Jesus answering says to him, What wilt thou that I shall do to thee? And the blind [man] said to him, Rabboni, that I may see.
51พระเยซูจึงตรัสถามเขาว่า "เจ้าปรารถนาจะให้เราทำอะไรแก่เจ้า" คนตาบอดนั้นทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระอาจารย์เจ้าข้า ขอโปรดให้ตาข้าพระองค์เห็นได้"
52And Jesus said to him, Go, thy faith has healed thee. And he saw immediately, and followed him in the way.
52พระเยซูตรัสแก่เขาว่า "จงไปเถิด ความเชื่อของเจ้าได้กระทำให้เจ้าหายปกติแล้ว" ในทันใดนั้นคนตาบอดนั้นก็เห็นได้ และได้เดินทางตามพระเยซูไป
