1And when they draw near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sends two of his disciples,
1ครั้นพระองค์กับพวกสาวกมาใกล้กรุงเยรูซาเล็ม ถึงหมู่บ้านเบธฟายี และหมู่บ้านเบธานีเชิงภูเขามะกอกเทศ พระองค์ทรงใช้สาวกสองคน
2and says to them, Go into the village which is over against you, and immediately on entering into it ye will find a colt tied, upon which no [child] of man has ever sat: loose it and lead it [here].
2สั่งเขาว่า "จงเข้าไปในหมู่บ้านที่อยู่ตรงหน้าท่าน ครั้นเข้าไปแล้วในทันใดนั้นจะพบลูกลาตัวหนึ่งผูกอยู่ ที่ยังไม่มีใครขึ้นขี่เลย จงแก้มันจูงมาเถิด
3And if any one say to you, Why do ye this? say, The Lord has need of it; and straightway he sends it hither.
3ถ้าผู้ใดถามท่านว่า `ท่านทำอย่างนี้ทำไม' จงบอกว่า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าต้องประสงค์ลูกลานี้ และประเดี๋ยวพระองค์จะส่งกลับคืนมาให้ที่นี่"
4And they departed, and found a colt bound to the door without at the crossway, and they loose him.
4สาวกสองคนนั้นจึงไป แล้วพบลูกลาตัวนั้นผูกอยู่นอกประตูที่สี่แยก เขาจึงแก้มัน
5And some of those who stood there said to them, What are ye doing, loosing the colt?
5บางคนซึ่งยืนอยู่ที่นั่นถามเขาว่า "แก้ลูกลานั้นทำไม"
6And they said to them as Jesus had commanded. And they let them [do it].
6สาวกก็ตอบตามพระดำรัสสั่งของพระเยซู แล้วเขาก็ยอมให้เอาไป
7And they led the colt to Jesus, and cast their clothes upon it, and he sat on it;
7สาวกจึงจูงลูกลามาถึงพระเยซู แล้วเอาเสื้อผ้าของตนปูลงบนหลังลา แล้วพระองค์จึงทรงลานั้น
8and many strewed their clothes on the way, and others cut down branches from the trees [and went on strewing them on the way].
8มีคนเป็นอันมากเอาเสื้อผ้าของตนปูลงตามถนนหนทาง และคนอื่นก็ตัดกิ่งไม้จากต้นไม้มาปูลงตามทางนั้น
9And those going on before and those following cried out, Hosanna! blessed [be] he that comes in [the] Lord's name.
9ฝ่ายคนที่เดินไปข้างหน้า กับผู้ที่ตามมาข้างหลัง ก็โห่ร้องว่า "โฮซันนา ขอให้พระองค์ผู้เสด็จมาในพระนามขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ทรงพระเจริญ
10Blessed [be] the coming kingdom of our father David. Hosanna in the highest!
10ความสุขสวัสดิ์มงคลจงมีแก่อาณาจักรของดาวิด บรรพบุรุษของเรา ที่มาตั้งอยู่ในพระนามขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า โฮซันนาในที่สูงสุด"
11And he entered into Jerusalem and into the temple; and having looked round on all things, the hour being already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
11พระเยซูก็เสด็จเข้ากรุงเยรูซาเล็มและเข้าไปในพระวิหาร เมื่อทอดพระเนตรสิ่งทั้งปวงแล้วเวลาก็จวนค่ำ จึงเสด็จออกไปยังหมู่บ้านเบธานีกับเหล่าสาวกสิบสองคนนั้น
12And on the morrow, when they were gone out of Bethany, he hungered.
12ครั้นรุ่งขึ้นเมื่อพระองค์กับสาวกออกมาจากหมู่บ้านเบธานีแล้ว พระองค์ก็ทรงหิว
13And seeing from afar off a fig-tree which had leaves, he came, if perhaps he might find something on it. And having come up to it he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the time of figs.
13พอทอดพระเนตรเห็นต้นมะเดื่อต้นหนึ่งแต่ไกลมีใบ จึงเสด็จเข้าไปดูว่ามีผลหรือไม่ ครั้นมาถึงต้นนั้นแล้ว ไม่เห็นมีผลมีแต่ใบเท่านั้น เพราะยังไม่ถึงฤดูผลมะเดื่อ
14And answering he said to it, Let no one eat fruit of thee any more for ever. And his disciples heard [it].
14พระเยซูจึงตรัสแก่ต้นนั้นว่า "ตั้งแต่นี้ไปจะไม่มีใครได้กินผลจากเจ้าเลย" เหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ก็ได้ยินคำซึ่งพระองค์ตรัสนั้น
15And they come to Jerusalem, and entering into the temple, he began to cast out those who sold and who bought in the temple, and he overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of the dove-sellers,
15เมื่อพระองค์กับสาวกมาถึงกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม พระเยซูก็เสด็จเข้าไปในพระวิหาร แล้วเริ่มขับไล่บรรดาผู้ซื้อขายในพระวิหารนั้น และคว่ำโต๊ะผู้รับแลกเงิน กับทั้งคว่ำม้านั่งผู้ขายนกเขาเสีย
16and suffered not that any one should carry any package through the temple.
16และทรงห้ามมิให้ผู้ใดขนสิ่งใดๆเดินลัดพระวิหาร
17And he taught saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but *ye* have made it a den of robbers.
17พระองค์ตรัสสอนเขาว่า "มีพระวจนะเขียนไว้มิใช่หรือว่า `นิเวศของเราประชาชาติทั้งหลายจะเรียกว่า เป็นนิเวศอธิษฐาน' แต่เจ้าทั้งหลายได้กระทำให้เป็น `ถ้ำของพวกโจร'"
18And the chief priests and the scribes heard [it], and they sought how they might destroy him; for they feared him, because all the crowd were astonished at his doctrine.
18เมื่อพวกธรรมาจารย์และพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่ทราบอย่างนั้น จึงหาช่องที่จะประหารพระองค์เสีย เพราะเขากลัวพระองค์ ด้วยว่าประชาชนประหลาดใจด้วยคำสั่งสอนของพระองค์
19And when it was evening he went forth without the city.
19และเมื่อถึงเวลาเย็น พระองค์ได้เสด็จออกไปจากกรุง
20And passing by early in the morning they saw the fig-tree dried up from the roots.
20ครั้นเวลาเช้า เมื่อพระองค์กับเหล่าสาวกได้ผ่านที่นั้นไป ก็ได้เห็นมะเดื่อต้นนั้นเหี่ยวแห้งไปจนถึงราก
21And Peter, remembering [what Jesus had said], says to him, Rabbi, see, the fig-tree which thou cursedst is dried up.
21ฝ่ายเปโตรระลึกขึ้นได้จึงทูลพระองค์ว่า "พระอาจารย์เจ้าข้า ดูเถิด ต้นมะเดื่อที่พระองค์ได้สาปไว้นั้นก็เหี่ยวแห้งไปแล้ว"
22And Jesus answering says to them, Have faith in God.
22พระเยซูจึงตรัสตอบเหล่าสาวกว่า "จงเชื่อในพระเจ้าเถิด
23Verily I say to you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou taken away and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but believe that what he says takes place, whatever he shall say shall come to pass for him.
23เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า ถ้าผู้ใดๆจะสั่งภูเขานี้ว่า `จงลอยไปลงทะเล' และมิได้สงสัยในใจ แต่เชื่อว่าจะเป็นไปตามที่สั่งนั้น ก็จะเป็นไปตามคำสั่งนั้นจริง
24For this reason I say to you, All things whatsoever ye pray for and ask, believe that ye receive it, and it shall come to pass for you.
24เหตุฉะนั้นเราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า ขณะเมื่อท่านจะอธิษฐานขอสิ่งใด จงเชื่อว่าได้รับ และท่านจะได้รับสิ่งนั้น
25And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have anything against any one, that your Father also who is in the heavens may forgive you your offences.
25เมื่อท่านยืนอธิษฐานอยู่ ถ้าท่านมีเหตุกับผู้หนึ่งผู้ใด จงยกโทษให้ผู้นั้นเสีย เพื่อพระบิดาของท่าน ผู้ทรงสถิตในสวรรค์ จะโปรดยกการละเมิดของท่านด้วย
26But if *ye* do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in the heavens forgive your offences.
26แต่ถ้าท่านทั้งหลายไม่ยกโทษให้ พระบิดาของท่าน ผู้ทรงสถิตในสวรรค์ จะไม่ทรงโปรดยกการละเมิดของท่านเหมือนกัน"
27And they come again to Jerusalem. And as he walked about in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders come to him,
27ฝ่ายพระองค์กับเหล่าสาวกมายังกรุงเยรูซาเล็มอีก เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จดำเนินอยู่ในพระวิหาร พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่ พวกธรรมาจารย์ และพวกผู้ใหญ่มาหาพระองค์
28and they say to him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority, that thou shouldest do these things?
28ทูลพระองค์ว่า "ท่านมีสิทธิอันใดจึงได้ทำสิ่งเหล่านี้ ใครให้สิทธิแก่ท่านที่จะทำการนี้ได้"
29And Jesus answering said to them, *I* also will ask you one thing, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:
29พระเยซูจึงตรัสตอบเขาว่า "เราจะถามท่านทั้งหลายสักข้อหนึ่งเหมือนกัน จงตอบเรา แล้วเราจะบอกท่านว่า เรากระทำการนี้โดยสิทธิอันใด
30The baptism of John, was it of heaven, or of men? answer me.
30คือบัพติศมาของยอห์นนั้น มาจากสวรรค์หรือมาจากมนุษย์ จงตอบเราเถิด"
31And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we should say, Of heaven, he will say, Why [then] have ye not believed him?
31เขาจึงปรึกษากันว่า "ถ้าเราจะว่า `มาจากสวรรค์' ท่านจะถามเราว่า `เหตุไฉนจึงไม่เชื่อยอห์นเล่า'
32but should we say, Of men -- they feared the people; for all held of John that he was truly a prophet.
32แต่ถ้าเราจะว่า `มาจากมนุษย์'" เขากลัวประชาชน เพราะประชาชนถือว่ายอห์นเป็นศาสดาพยากรณ์จริงๆ
33And they answering say to Jesus, We do not know. And Jesus [answering] says to them, Neither do *I* tell you by what authority I do these things.
33เขาจึงทูลตอบพระเยซูว่า "พวกข้าพเจ้าไม่ทราบ" พระเยซูจึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "เราจะไม่บอกท่านทั้งหลายเหมือนกันว่า เรากระทำการนี้โดยสิทธิอันใด"
